Mr. Cardone stated, “ He only gets involved in politics when it hurts him financially.” This is a small part, but yet still a part of the reason of why we are where we are today. We have good people with decent morals who don’t get involved in politics until it’s almost, pretty much too late. This is a constitutional republic. It’s supposed to be run by the people. If we are not constantly involved in politics, then we really don’t have the control. For many years, these politicians have run this country without the checks and balances. If we don’t keep tabs on what our politicians are doing, vigilantly, they will do whatever they want, and so here we are.😢

Democrats want to create 2 new states, Puerto Rico and Washington.DC. How about the republicans create about 10 new states by separating the democrat urban areas from the rest of the states. I’m sure millions of people in Illinois would like to separate from Chicago, same with Michigan from Detroit, etc .
As I drive through the countryside all I see are Trump supporters, very rare Harris supporters. Detroit has been democrat since the 60's. I worked downtown from when I was 13 till I turned 20 in '77. There has been a population decline from 1.5 million down to about 750,000 in that time. I would guess 3 out of 6 homes are burned or abandoned and inner-city people still vote democrat.

Probably one of the best discussions with Grant Cardone that I've seen. He's an intense guy, but this sit down was really enjoyable. I like this Grant the best!
Hate to break it to you but unless it was new ground breaking property, Grant selling property in New York didn't cost New York 10 million in property taxes. Grant isn't paying the taxes but whoever he sold the property to is now paying the taxes. New york is still getting the taxes.
The thing is he's not using the money from the sale of his properties to reinvest in New York. He took that money out of that state and invested it in Florida. That means that anyone who's looking to build in New York won't have the investors they need to build or to buy their new building properties. That means less construction. That money, 1/2 a billion dollars, was invested in Florida and Florida builders see opportunities that has been lost in New York. He also didn't say that he SOLD his properties. He said that withdrew from projects in New York, which means that those who were depending on his money to complete their projects, must find new investors. It may not happen, now and that would indicate that these were construction projects. Properties that will not be developed so those projected properties won't be taxed at the completed values of those projects.

It's hard not to conclude that it's coming from nefarious intentions now.
I am often asked why I left California. I’m a fourth-generation Californian and the owner of two successful consulting firms. My decision to leave California was a deeply personal and challenging one. While my roots were firmly planted in the Golden State, the compelling reasons to depart became impossible to ignore. Firstly, the surge in crime rates was a pressing concern. California's high crime rate had a direct impact on the safety and well-being of both my employees and my family, making it increasingly difficult to maintain a sense of security. Add to that California leads the nation in oppressive gun laws…try getting a conceal carry permit…and legislation that encourages crime. Secondly, California's educational system, once a source of pride (UCLA ‘71), has fallen behind significantly, earning it a reputation for having one of the worst educational systems in the United States. This decline was a significant concern for the future of my children, grandchildren and my employees' children and the generations to come. When in California, I still interviewed prospective employees, and it was alarming that college graduates couldn’t do simple math without a calculator, write a comprehensive paragraph describing why I should hire them, and have an attitude of an entitled moron. Coupled with the above, the homelessness crisis and the associated filth on the streets has created an environment that is both hazardous and disheartening; further contributing to the erosion of the state's appeal. Moreover, the state's high gas prices, high utility bills, water police, EV / green energy mandates, porous border policy, the attacks on Prop 13, home insurance rates, natural gas appliance bans, exorbitant income taxes, and burdensome corporate taxes were taking a toll on both my businesses and my employees' finances. In September, the California Air Resources Board (CARB), the state's primary environmental regulator, reported gas prices will rise next year by about 50 cents a gallon and every year thereafter to aid in “clean air efforts”. The price increase does not include the existing gas tax in the state. Now get this…now they are planning a mileage tax because they say the EVs are not paying gas taxes, so they too will be assessed a new tax to help pay for the maintenance of deteriorating infrastructure. The deteriorating infrastructure and an array of mandates, including vaccine and mask mandates, added to the growing list of grievances. Add to that the insane idea that somehow raising the minimum wage will help the poor. Workers in areas where the minimum wage was increased were thrilled at the prospect of more money. Then reality hit. They were no longer eligible for subsidized housing, paid child care, Medicaid and food stamps. Many of them ended up with LESS income than before. Minimum wage jobs were not intended to be career choices. They were entry level jobs and first jobs for teenagers, not illegal aliens. They were intended for those entering the job market to purchase gas for their cars and acne medication…not subsidized lifetime employment. The mismanagement and corruption in all levels of government, epitomized by the controversial high-speed rail project, and a proposed mileage tax, were the final straws that led me, as a fourth-generation Californian, to make the difficult choice to leave the state in search of a better future for my employees and my family. After retaining counsel, and discussing options with my family and my employees, I decided to make the move from Commifornia to Texas for several compelling reasons. At the outset, one of the most striking differences I noticed was the friendliness of the people in Texas. Texans are renowned for their warm hospitality and welcoming nature, which made the transition to a new state much smoother and more enjoyable. It's not uncommon to strike up conversations with strangers and be met with a genuine, friendly demeanor that I found refreshing. Additionally, Texas boasts several other advantages, such as better schools, improved infrastructure, and the absence of both income and corporate taxes. The quality of education in Texas is notably high, which was a significant consideration for my family and my employees. Better roads not only make commuting more convenient but also contribute to the overall quality of life. The absence of state income and corporate taxes is a considerable financial benefit, allowing residents to retain more of their hard-earned money. Moreover, a new proposition in Texas to lower property taxes further solidified my decision to move, demonstrating the state's commitment to reducing the financial burden on its residents. In essence, Texas offers a blend of practical advantages and a unique sense of pride and community that I've come to cherish. Sure, people will bring up problems facing Texas, but what amazed me, Texans aren’t afraid to face them head on. An individual still has a voice in Texas. I always hear the same, rebuttal…the beaches, the mountains, the desert, the climate…and my response; my ancestors left Europe to find freedom and prosperity…I have left Commifornia for the same reasons, plus, I’m surrounded by people who think like I do! I have absolutely no regrets leaving Commifornia.

Grant Cardone is right. According to the U.S. Census Bureau in 2022, California gained 475,803 residents but lost 817,669 residents. However, in 2023 California's population increased by 67,000 people according to new data released today by the California Department of Finance (DOF). The California DOF says that the state's population growth can be attributed to an increase in LEGAL FOREIGN IMMIGRATION and natural population increasing. However, people moving into the state by making false “Asylum” claims are technically “legal” immigrants. Hispanics are now the largest racial group in the state comprising over 40 percent of the population. In recent years California has been losing about one percent of their long-time population every year but that population has been replaced by new immigrants moving into the state so the overall population numbers are misleading. In reality, millions of the most productive, tax-paying citizens are moving out of the state and they are being replaced by millions of immigrants who have little or no job skills and are likely to become dependent on taxpayer-funded welfare and social benefits. The tax payers are moving out and the tax takers are moving in. That system is mathematically unsustainable and is doomed to accelerating failure.
Dave has a problem with thinking trends go on forever. They don't. Florida may be nice, but retiree Florida and Nashville and Austin are getting close....

Northern California from 50 miles North of Frisco all the way 6 hour drive to the Oregon border is still a beautiful place. It is NOTHING like the South. Prop 13 which partially restricted the states ability to raise property taxes on those who keep their homes "so far" has held serve and is still pretty much in place. Members of BOTH parties like the prop 13 protections so the gov tries to find other ways. Their is FAR less crime and homelessness in the North. Two distinct states in fact. etc.

Don't forget East St Louis in that IL separation!

Great to see Grant here. I'd like to see a long form conversation with him.

So i muted that intro so obnoxious.
Long time Oregon resident here, always in the minority...but I smell a sea change in this state.
Nobody asked you!
Nobody cares!

Dave. I think you’re a great podcaster. In several of your shows I hear you fishing for compliments-in this one and one you had upon return from hiatus It’s cringe and doesn’t land well. Wishing you all the best and love your show/content
I live in crazy Oregon, it's all ideology nothing else matters. They are so far left that it literally blinds them to the pain they cause to the ordinary citizen.
Meditate for courage, mass together with like minded folks, and force the 'eye opening'!
Liberals tend to think of money as something that is magically created and not taxed from hard working middle class. They live in a world of theory, not practicality.
Born and raised in PDX, now I live in Seattle…..ugh. Can’t wait to get out of here.
They aren't blind to the pain they cause us, they want us gone.
build the walls
That system is mathematically unsustainable and is doomed to accelerating failure.
damn i cant watch grant man you lost me here i dont respect this guy in ant way shape or form.
Uncle G is the Man. We love our investments with him.
Dave! Grant Cardone? Do your research on GC and Scientology.
Oh no don’t tell me he does Scientology
@@Guitarlvr01 not only does he do Scientology… he is a major donor up there with Tom Cruise.
@@Prettypeachylife that’s such a disappointment. WOW.
Bigots.
@@theScienceLabLivetypical Scientology remark. That’s all you got
Dave has a problem with thinking trends go on forever. They don't. Florida may be nice, but retiree Florida and Nashville and Austin are getting close....
Oh, YEAH...this guy has a job that BLOWS UP property rates INCLUDING TAX RATES...Thanks Cali boy...
Totally. Facelifted and smug in his Gucci loafers too. Bought my house WITHOUT a realtor. A good real estate attorney can review all the documents with you at a fraction of the price. Realtors have us thinking we cannot survive without them.
Interest rates are NOT too high, prices are too high. Malinvestment happens whenever interest rates are driven too low.
Grant's not in prison yet?
I agree. He is not a good person. He is a greedy scum bag!!
Scammatologist!
Born and raised in Ca but left for 15 years. Watched it change even worse than I would have imagined it would have 15 years ago. The craziest part about that place, they elect the right person, and even make the smallest
Of changes that place pops back faster then you could imagine. I believe they are the precipice of just that. (Or maybe that’s just hope)
Dave Rubin, just DON'T join Scientology!!!! LOL 😅 but seriously dont!
Dave, love your show!! I see people don’t love the intro song, hit up Mad Revival and they’ll hook you up with real music. An actual band, actual musicians writing God centered music that hits in an organic real way! Keep making amazing content!
He pulled out of a half-million dollar real estate deal in NYC? Half-million? What was he investing in? A porta potty?
He clearly said billion.
Two distinct states in fact. etc.
Jefferson State!
It's a shame you platform Grant Cardone. Plenty of others who could make the same point without his baggage.
