The first time I was at Newgrange I saw my dad, three months after he died. The guy there was the spittin' image of my father who was only half Irish. Since, I've returned to that historic milestone twice. A wonderful place to visit, and study.
I don't like all the Ira stuff, but I still appreciate this song. Irish people should look to other times in history instead of concentrating on the early 1900s. We were astronomers, magicians, bards, artists and poets, and that's what the Irish people are really about.
Pre the pyramids. So much history, people trying to understand their place on the universe. Amazing history all BC, not enough focus on this period imo.
This song always comes randomly to my head great tune
same with me lad, will probably be with me for the rest of my life
It proves what a genuine Irishman you are.
Same as that. I remember driving through Meath when they won the All Ireland and this song just came out of me.

You are a great person, Tim. Your beloved dad is waiting for you, preparing a huge hug to you.
Brilliant song, brilliant video, brilliant voice of Tommy Byrne. Thank you Wolfe Tones.

Listened to the mighty Wolfetones since I was brand new. The older I get the more I really appreciate how brilliant they are.
God Bless Éireann. 🌀☘️🌀
My favourite of all time ❤
Possibly their most underrated song. You never hear it live either.
Same with "Róisín Dubh" and "Butterfly". There's no live videos of either of the songs yet, but they're some of my favourites.
Simply Splendid visuals and composition, Thank You !!

IrishBard you're totally right! we were scholars artists and creatives first, warriors second.

Sadly enough that is what happens when people are stuck in the past without knowing real history.
