USPSA shooter here. IMO and many others, the 43x and 48 are CCW guns first, fighting guns second. However, the G19 is a fighting gun that also happens to be able to be concealed. It can be ran much more aggressively . The extra size, girth, weight, etc. all helps in actual shootability and recoil control - which translate to more shootability.
Good video I originally had a G19 and bought a G48 which my wife decided to make it her duty weapon. I next bought a G43X and liked it so much I sold my G19 and purchased a G17 gen3. Like you mentioned about the G43 the small grip caused it to fail my close quarter test. When I was a Deputy Sheriff, I'm retired now. One of the phases was at 3 feet we had 1 second to draw the weapon and fire 2 shots in 1 second. In that short time span you get a not so optimal grip and with the G43 and G26 after 1 shot I got a failure to chamber the 2nd round. Now I never had those failures with my full size Glock or revolvers. As for the compact semi-autos the 43X and the Sig P250 subcompact passed with flying colors. Ironically my agency never conducted that test with our off duty weapons. Your results maybe different than mine, but it's good to see if they work for you. Once again good video and yes the 43X is my EDC weapon.
@theepicgamer, your wife carries a 10 round pistol for duty? As a backup or primary? I’m asking because I would be surprised if a LEA allowed it as a primary.
Nice! However I like my G17 Gen5. Capacity, perfect size and grip, comfortable, and the G19 would be my next purchase. My wife likes the G26 Gen4. For me, it is too small. I actually CC my 17 and 2 extra mags on my side.
Liked and subscribed. The 43x (and the 48 as well) certainly have their place. Particularly in those states that don't allow more than 10 rounds in a mag. For me, I just find that I keep coming back to the 19, it's just such an all around great gun and having 15 (reliable) rounds is hard to beat. My biggest issue with the 43x & 48 is that I'm surprised at how many people have jumped on to the shield arms bandwagon without hesitation. Yes, 15 rounds in a smaller package sounds great, but there have been SO MANY documented issues with those magazines, I don't see how people can trust them with their lives. They're on the 3rd generation already in an attempt to fix those problems. Now, PSA has just put out a 15 round mag (micro dagger) that looks like a more promising option than the Shield Arms. The thing is, we still don't know how either will hold up over the long term. There's just not enough data to say for sure yet, and I'm not willing to bet my life on that. The Glock mags have 30-40 years of proven reliability, if I'm going to use a 43x or 48 I'll stick with that and just settle for 10 rounds, which is adequate. If I feel like I need 15 rounds, I'll just stick with the tried and proven G19. Man, that was longer comment than I anticipated lol. Well, that's my opinion and I'm sticking to it. Thanks for the video
Good points for sure. Although personal experience: although the first round is stiff to rack for the shield arms gen 3 s15 mags, I have had no failures to feed or eject so far after 500 rounds through them.
@@danrussell_official Keep in mind that you're a sample size of 1. And just because you haven't had an issue yet doesn't mean that they are reliable. That's the equivalence of saying that because your Ford hasn't broken down yet that Ford makes reliable vehicles.
I still carry the 19 as well. But I have only heard good things about the PSA mags that hold 15, so I was interested in the micro dagger with their mag, which is basically a 43x clone
News of the G19's demise once again has been greatly exaggerated. The 43x can be a great choice for thinner built folks. I have no issues with concealing a G19 plus I shoot it better overall than anything else I have tried so far so it is a keeper for me. I did try a 43x and I thought it was good to go.
I just bought a Glock 43X and your impressions are dead on. It’s a little snappy but becomes more controllable with a better trigger, better sights and plenty of practice 🙌🏾
I recently purchased the 43x, and I really enjoy this pistol. The 43x replaced my GX4 (well, the GX4 had major issues that I no longer felt safe carrying), the grip on the 43x felt more comfortable in my hand then any other gun that I've tried. I purchased 2 PSA micro dagger 15-round magazines for it. They fit perfectly in the gun. Overall, I am pleased with the 43x. In the future, I will change out the stock trigger, but until then the Glock 43x is my GO TO EDC.
Great video but two different use cases. Personal preference, I am sticking with my 19. I have large hands and it fits in my hand better unlike the 43x which I have a little over 1k rounds in.... its not just the 43x, it’s the p365 and hellcat..... all of which I own.
Fair point. I definitely missed the opportunity to mention that. Some people really struggle to shoot guns with smaller grips. And you definitely have enough rounds down range to hold an opinion. Appreciate you watching
I own the G19, 43X, and the G48. My G19 is stock and I love it that way. For both the G43X, and G48 I installed Hogue grips for just a little wide palm swell, so the grip is perfect for me. I also purchased PRO Mags (15rds). Which does not require you to switch the mag release button as the Sheild Arms mags do. I've been using them a lot on the range and so far they've not had any issues.
I think you're probably right. how do you feel about glocks naming /marketing with them them naming this gun the 43x. I've seen way more of these in the wild and online. I wonder If glock is killing their 48 sales by not naming it the 48x Or something fancy like that
@@ArmedAtlas The way that they name things by patent number is so confusing but I think their idea behind the 43x name scheme was to somewhat mimic the 19x in that you have a smaller slide matched with a larger grip frame. Between the 48 & 43x I think the 48 is superior. It actually conceals more easily and the longer slide helps tame the recoil and adds velocity.
Sounds like you actually know your stuff! and yes, I'd prorated recommend the 48 over the 43x for those exact reasons. and if I had a Nicole for evey time a youtuber felt the need to explain the gkock 45 is in 9mm
I got a 43x a little over a year ago .. zero jams zero complaints !! Also it conceals like a boss .. I do not own a 19 but of my group of four it is an easy decision to go to !!!
I absolutely love mine with the EPS Carry. But recently I just added my MECANIC red dot to my back up 43x mos and wow talk about a great budget option that has shake awake and auto adjust very impressive.
Carried a Glock 43x for years. Switched to 19x for edc one year ago. 43x is better than nothing, but not ideal for regular shooting. 19 is ideal for deep concealment while still comfortable enough to shoot fast with. 19x still easily concealed and excellent full grip for faster shooting.
Carrying a 19x requires a bigger frame. If that's the case, a 43x will be a bit more uncomfortable due to hand size. I carry a G45 myself, so I understand and agree.
@@ArmedAtlas Man I love my 19x, 45, and 19 for carry. The dress code of the day dictates which one comes off the bench. And you have a good point, due to the size of my hands, the constant adjustment required to shoot the 43x moved me away from it after years of carrying it.
Can DEFINITELY understand that. There's a reason I went with the Hellcat Pro instead of the standard hellcat or the p365. that said, that grip is a touch thin
I traded in my 26 for a 43x but also have a 19 and 23 both Gen 5s that I prefer over the 43x. I also bought a 43 lower to use in the warmer months when gym shorts are a must since the 43x slide can interchange.
That makes sense. The 19 is overall a bit more shootable, in my opinion. I've never been a fan of the 43/42 because they are so sooo small and sooo thin, but if you can shoot it well enough go crazy
43x is my EdC and my Go to for self defense and home defense. OEM mags and OEM internals. Other than some talon Grips and a Hogue Lead grip. Best gun I have ever owned. Great video bud. Now subbed.
I have the 43x and I love it, it’s a great firearm.. Palmetto state armory sells a 15 round mag that fits well and works fine, similar to the shield arms 15 round mag. I have smaller hands so it fits very well.. I generally go with a 1911 style since most are single stack, but this one really fit me well for a Glock..
I don't have a 43x, but i have shot one before and I plan on picking one up at some point and getting it milled. It was more snappy for sure, but it was serviceable. My main goal is to have a slimmer gun for summer carry or when I'm wearing more slim fitting clothing.
sounds good to me! It's at the lower end of capacity for the "micro compact" guns but it's a glock, and the aftermarket for even getting 15 round mags is there. and it's definitely an ideal gun for summer
it's a solid gun. Nothing to regret 😤 and for sure. working on some new stuff. Just got back from NAGGA CON. Hopefully, we can put out some solid recap/product videos out. Also have some great other ideas... but I'll keep that quiet until it's ready for the Patreon guys to see it
I know its been 9 months but johnny glocks recently released the 4311 trigger and i think you should try it out if you want/have the chance, it is an amazing trigger.
Thanks for joining the squad. And one of my core values in content creation is to be fair. G19 is good to go OEM. You gotta buy new mags and hope they’re near totally reliable. I’m interested in 43x but not keen on adding non OEM accessories just to get that near g19 functionality
The G43X is a great pistol, but it's not going to replace the G19. BTW, Palmetto State Armory recently came out with a 15rd mag for $30 that fits the G43X (and the G48), and it doesn't require you to change the mag release like you do with the Shield mag. (And from the reviews that I've seen the PSA mag is far better than the Shield mag.)
I am posting about my experience with the PSA micro dagger magazines with my 43x thus far. I purchased two PSA magazines and have put about 75 rounds a piece through them. I know that is not very many, but it is enough to give an initial impression. These magazines are VERY stiff! My advice is if you don't already have one, buy a good magazine loader, or you will tear your thumbs up! It may help to leave them loaded for a while. I have also noticed that the base plates bulge on these magazines. I do not know if this will affect long term reliably or durability, but it has my attention. As far as function so far, they have been reliable with only one failure to lock the slide back with one magazine. I fully loaded and fired the same magazine a few more times and did not have a repeat of this issue, so who knows? Other than this, they do seem well made. Some have reported plastic shards inside the magazines, which have affected reliability...I have not had that issue.
Thank you for posting this. I'm waiting to get notified when they come back in stock before I get 2 or 3 for testing. I appreciate you sharing this experience/ concerns. I'll make sure my testing notes your concerns. Be sure to update us if you find anything notable.
@ArmedAtlas This may seem somewhat over picky, but I did notice that it also takes about twice as much effort to push the magazine into the well when it is fully loaded vs. the OEM magazine (strong springs!). This is with one in the chamber and a full magazine (15+1).It could be an issue for someone with less hand strength, in which case I probably wouldn't recommend these magazines or pistol anyway. The magazine catch notches on the PSA are also not as deep as the OEM magazine notches. I am not sure if any of this would affect the magazine reliability, but I just wanted to mention my observations. This all may sound like a negative review, but it's not. I am carrying one in my 43x as we speak.
All feedback is feedback! And as a reviewer, it's my job to find the truth about what people actually want in a product. That might be a turn off, or it might be the growing pains of owning a new mag and just needing a speed loader for the first few mags. Obviously there are more factors, but even subjective feedback is feedback
You all need to break out your Chinese Finger Boards and start tapping away and build up your finger strength! My God! I've never seen so many wimps that need a mag loader when they get to those last few rounds into a mag! Pathetic! /sarcasm
I recently bought a g43x, put all the fixings on it, vortex red dot, streamlight tlr7 sub, I Like it so far, im not in love with it quite yet, as i have to learn how to shoot it accuratly, im coming from a glock 19gen 3 thats stock, no fixings on it, but these are 2 different animals in my opinion, the g43x is way snappier in comparison to the g19, my nephew an inexperienced shooter can hit target quite easily with the g19 but the g43x he cant manage to hit the target consistently, but with practice im 100% certain that this is a good concealable pistol, I will certainly be carrying mine everyday
I've found that with the smaller guns, you need to tighten up your fundamentals. Its not impossible to shoot these guns well, but with the extra snap and slightly worse trigger, you end up jerking the gun more and dipping the muzzle in anticipation of a more violent snap or gritty trigger. Not to say you can't bang at 25 yards, but it makes it harder to be great
I tested the 43x and the 19 gen 5 i went with the 19 gen 5 only because of the double stack 15 rounds the recoil is better. I felt the 43x was more snappy. But both are good though.
Most people are rooting for the g43x, but have ya shot both guns from a concealment. I tend to fumble a little when trying to pull the small gun out of holster. Thus, resulting in inconsistent gripping of pistol. There’s a skill gap when shooting indoor range and real life training, shooting from a concealment.
How much did you get for a trade in value for your g26? I’m thinking to trade in but wasn’t sure if it’s worth the cut in what I paid for my g26. Thanks for the comment
Around 6:45, the gun didn't fire. Then you did a tap-rack-bang. Was that a mulfunction, or you forgot to load the gun in the first place? Sorry for the dumb question - I'm new to guns so I'm learning. Thanks!
GREAT QUESTION! So I actually forgot to load it 😅 You can sorta tell because when I tap-rack, you don't see any casing/rounds eject. I don't think we had any light strikes or failure to eject with this gun. Congratulations on beginning your gun journey.
I appreciate the kind words! I really think you'll enjoy the 43x when you pick it up. You might look into an aftermarket trigger shoe for a bit more comfort.
The Glock 19 will never go away because it's the OWB holster gun for police, security, and people with larger hands. Secondly, you don't need anything special to have 15 round capacity. I have a Glock 48 and I have 3 PSA 15-round magazines and it's a smooth shooter with them, as for the PSA 15-round magazines they work flawlessly after 5 range visits but I still have my 10 round magas tho.
Definitely is super great for concealment. I do wish they had the FCU/COGs system to allow for different "lowers". being able to have a brand new gun at a low cost just seems like a game changer. especially when you loom at the p365 with Willson combat grips. or alternative stipple jobs for different occasions
Great video! My thoughts as someone who owns multiple Glocks including 2, G43Xs (one standard, one MOS), here is my thought. Glock did not kill the G19 with the 43X (from factory with only 10-rounds), but Shield Arms and now, PSA are ganging up with the G43X to make the G19 less relevant. However, a lot of folks don't want to purchase aftermarket parts to make their firearms more capable. Another thing is that the G19 to me has a better feel in the grip than the G43X because I have bigger hands. I think, if Glock released a flush fit 15-round magazine for the G43X and G48, along with multiple sized backstraps, that would be Glock performing a coup de grace on the G19. Keep the great content coming, I subscribed!
Man, great synopsis. And you're absolutely right about people avoiding the aftermarket for one reason or another. The 19 grip is better for most people at the end of the day and I had one person comment about how their agency doesn't allow aftermarket mags so they continue carrying the 19 even though it's thicker. and I'll be working on putting the 43x against the Hellcat pro & 365 XL maybe... next week? So stay tuned 👊🏼
@ArmedAtlas I'm currently comparing the 43X against the Sig P365 X-MACRO TACOPS. It's similar in size but comes from the factory with 4, 17-round magazines and 3 adjustable backstraps.
I think we all like a little more capacity if possible (unless you rock a J frame), but as a person who works in security, I'd like as much ammo as possible. That's a big reason I went with a 45 as my duty gun. But the Macro is always interesting to me. Plus, it's the only modular sig that hasn't had a history of drop safety issues. (I know people debate this topic)
I need help, I want to purchase a EDC, a Glock 43X MOS or Glock 19X MOS? I used to have a 365XL and loved it but the grip was still to small to get a really good master grip when pulling out of the holster. Also I tend to carry at 3:00 or 4:00 position in the waist band or on my side not appendix. I have heard good & bad things on both, when researching online or TH-cam I get even more confused. I wear baggy clothes and my hands are Med-Large remember the 365XL's grip was a little too small for my likens. Between both which one do you recommend the most with some of the information I gave you? Great Video thank you
Ok, so it definitely depends on your body type. Normally I would just recommend getting a glock 48(slightly better 43x), but if you can easily conceal a full size gun the 19x(mos) is a GREAT option. My biggest concern is that i personally have to really tailor my outfit around concealing the 45(same as 19x) but I have really no issue with concealing guns with the 19x profile. When you say you carry at 3 or 4 o'clock in concerned that you'll definitely print. especially with that glock 17 length grip. But with the right holster and attire you might be able to pull it off.
I'm so excited for you and honored you'd ask for my opinion. I carry a glock 45(same as 19x) appendix regularly, but I wouldn't recommend it for just everyone. I'd probably recommend you spend some range time with the 45/19x and compare it to a glock 48. The 19x will be very hard to conceal due to the extended grip vs the 43x or even the 48 being easier due to its thinner profile overall and standard length grip.

19 is probably a safe option. But it depends on your needs. The 19x is slimmer & easier to conceal in general. The 19 is way more fun to shoot and build your skills with.
Oh no 😬 Yeah, you'll want to look at the Sig 365 systems along with the 43x when you rent. holosun should be dropping a native Optic for The 43x hopefully this year. And I say look at sig because you can change the frame to fit your needs.
Something about the camera/lens/frame rate, makes the video kinda difficult to watch. I say upgrade the camera system, and your channel will sky rocket. Guys like Honest Outlaw's channel have great quality video. I think it makes a big difference in terms of someone choosing to subscribe

I figured. Checked out your page after I replied. I'm from St. Croix, so it took me only a second to remember that Jamaicans are extremely direct. I appreciate you trying to be helpful. your comment has me curious to explore the frame rates we've been using recently.
@@ArmedAtlas Yea bro. I'm Jamaican. Nice meeting you. Just here to help. I too need to upgrade my gears. Ive been into camera and filmmaking lately, so i see the cracks easier these days... I think you have great content, i just think either the lens or something needs changing. Something about the focal length, stability, and overall video quality that needs penciling out. (I'm sure you'll figure it out.) Btw, do you mind sharing your current camera gear and lens?
Always nice meeting a fellow islander. And we're constantly working towards a better overall look and to better utilize the gear we have. In this video we used a Sony a6400 with a Tamron 17-70 f2.8. The lense was probably set to apsc 35 or 50mm. Audio on a DJI Mic and stabilized on a Weebil S. Nothing Too fancy. On an unrelated production, we used a Sony A7IV with a Tamron 70-180. Such a great combo. Highly recommend it if you aren't running in direct sunlight
It’s a tough one, 43X is definitely more concealable for athletic frames. That being said, a lot of taller, athletic (or just plain skinny) folks also have larger hands. The 43X feels much different in the hands than a Glock 19 and is snappier. I want a 43 X for situations where the 19 will print too much.
No the answer is no . Why because peoples hands are different. Been renting glock 48 and 43x for the last month to decided if i want one it dosent work for my hands like a 19 does endes up buying a gen 5 26 for light summer carry thst shockingly i shoot better becuase its thicker. Watching the video now
I appreciate you sharing your personal data. This helps me understand how people actually carry. I think I'll look into the hand size question for the next video/follow up
Pretty much every privately owned range has a few of the more popular options for rental. You can't take em home, but while at the range, you can put rounds down range and form your opinion. I'd say the good thing about rentals is you can ask about what guns have had any issues and the rental guy isn't emotionally attached the truth. They'll probably just tell you.( as long as you'll rent)
Everyone my size and taller carry a 19. All the short homies I know carry a 43x. lol For me not worth it, but the gun just isn't for me. For some though, it's the perfect gun and the perfect size for conceal carry.
Lol, not many 😅 I think a major point didn't explain is my skill level between my first and (second) impressions. I probably wouldn't recommend this to brand new shooters who haven't nailed down their grip and recoil control.
Glock 19 is better for home defense cuz I can use Glock 17 magazines holding 17 rounds in my Glock 19. However the Glock 43x is a a better concealed carry option. Just keep both he won't be disappointed
G43x killed the G19? I say no. But G48 is the same as G19, but thinner, and I would argue that with a 15rd mag and a Hogue grip it has the potential to impact G19 sales.
I think you're the first person to suggest a grip enhancement for the 48. That's a great idea as a lot of people struggle with accuracy when first trying a slim line
@@ArmedAtlas I have both a G43x and a G48-boys and toys…. Both have a Hogue grip that makes them feel good in my XL hand. After getting accustomed to that, my G19 felt boxy, and I sold it. I’m also a fan of Hogue grips on similarly sized single stack 1911’s.
I'd say for pure concealed carry the 43x/48 has been cannibalizing sales. But 19 will remain king. I'm realizing we didn't really put a bowtie on the video, but it's an interesting idea.
@@ArmedAtlas it’s a good gun I wouldn’t take it over the 19 personally. only reason I don’t like it is because I have to constantly readjust my grip. I shot my aunts 43x and would need put talon grips and more aggressive texture so I can grip the gun better. I would conceal a 19 because I shoot it well and the problem I have with the 43x don’t exist also more upgrades for triggers, magazines, etc for double stack guns.
Definitely more aftermarket support for the OG lines (19/17 ect) I think some hockey tape might help your grip to a certain point. and I'm hearing an upgrade at Guide Ride & recoil spring takes some of the snap out. reducing the need to readjust the support hand.
The way you just juggle around that little loaded pistol with no safety seems a little odd. I'm sure you're well trained and know what you're doing but holy shit, be a little careful lol
I appreciate you acknowledging my training. I am. And following the rules of firearms safety will save you from any true negligence. BUT you're right. I could be a bit more careful. Especially since it may inspire arrogance in a viewer who's habits might lead to.. less desirable results. Note taken, and I appreciate you keeping the comment respectful
@@ArmedAtlas can’t remember, but she did say it was the trigger that she didn’t like, and that Glocks were good, just more for noobs basically..which I wholeheartedly agree. She did have something that was cerakoted in a nice black cherry finish her appendix area.
That's funny and not entirely inaccurate. It's just that Glocks have a longer ceiling in regards to professional tuning and customization compared to any other brand. So you go from noon gun to a completely different build-a-bear gun by the time you're done. I'm actually kicking around a video idea on why a certain glock is actually the worst handgun in its class(compared to its viable competition)
I definitely appreciate the idea. Who are you watching on Rumble(for gun content)? Maybe I'll do some research and see how I can attack both. (since I'm already monetized here)
Yeah. It definitely is the Glock 19 Killer. There is no use for the 19c at all. The hot spot on the trigger guard near the grip is terrible. The 43x grip is fantastic. Big hands here, and it actually fits much better than the 19c. If i want a duty gun, im going 45, 19x, or 17. Glock 19c is dead.
@@ArmedAtlas Edit. Sorry all, I meant to say that it is the Palmetto State Armory Micro Dagger magazine. Keep the original mag release button from Glock.
@@ArmedAtlas I bought a couple of their "blem" and didn't see any marks. They are very stiff to load. I'm letting them sit loaded for a week before taking them to the range.
The real Glock 19 killer is the expiring patent, there are Glock clones everywhere, as far as the 43X LMFAO! There better options at half the price than the 43X, the ruger max-9 is half the price, optics ready, front night sight, 12 round magazine. Now CZ as a lower price plastic gun, at again half the price. Glock survives on it's name.
Naw the 48 mos did 🤷🏾♂️ and shield mags are trash Psa mags are better and don’t have to change the msg release patience is virtue I waited before messing wit anything I’m talking about
@ArmedAtlas yeah I have a 43x and a 48mos and the slim line glocks don't feel as good you can tell when you rack them and listen to a double stack vs single stack but time will tell I got to say though I had to send the 48mos back to glock becouse of malfunctions they replaced all parts and sent it back .trust I feel underguned when I have a slim frame on me because of how they are but I feel right as rain when I have my 19 on me becouse of its track record and how dependable and reliable it has been ive owned a 19 since 2001 and have only messed with the single stacks since 43x came out around 5 years ago and there just not as good as glock 27,19, 17,17long or 34
Fair enough. I can see why you'd be more hesitant with the slim lines. they are slightly different and according to these comments, a lot of L & XL hands don't sit the slim line well. Even the 43x/48s. Reliability hasn't been the concern for most, but having to send a gun (glock) back is a big big deal. These are life saving tools. No room for errors
You'll never see a Glock 43x in a police holster or military holster....so think that's enough said...stop kidding yourself with this foolishness!!!! A ok "carry" gun..it's passable...but a "service" sidearm "killer" NEGATIVE!!! Call it what it is a decent "ccw" 👍
I agree, but they also shouldn't carry the 19 when the 19x/45/17/47 exist. BUT I can admit the 48/43x can't offer the same shooting experience as the 19 for the EDC conceal carry guy who can conceal it easily
I have man hands I’ll never choose a 43x over a 19 that gun shoots so harsh plus with better guns like the xmacro out there you would be a fool to go 43x
The SIG is for Guinea Pigs! I learned the hard way! XL has FCU problems (loosens after a while aka, shake to shoot), the XMacro is a rust bucket waiting to show off it's rust bucket ways (yes, even after being cleaned and lubed up after every range trip). The Sig XTEN was nice, but after a few hundred rounds, the trigger was like a floppy wet noodle! NO WAY would I carry that in the woods of Alaska! To ME, only a FOOL would carry a SIG.
One thing about Sig is that after about a good 6-700 rounds, the gun will have issues. My 365XL got to the point where the slide was hard to rack. I was told it’s the trigger module being dirty but to clean it good you have to disassemble it. To disassemble and reassemble you have to have an engineering degree Lol. To fully take down any Glock and reassemble it is very easy to do. Sigs are pretty guns but eventually it’s going to have an issue. The 365 macros are already having rusting issues. Even in a glass case at the gun store the gun was rusting which is very unacceptable.
Thanks for watching. Check out those self-healing targets

Why does this guy lie and say that the 19 is twice as thick as the 43x. He's not credible
Watch,he's a dangerous amateur
Great choices! I have had almost every make and model of Glock. And the two that I've stuck with is the 34 and the 43X.
Love my 43x and the PSA micro dagger mags are a game changer.
I had no idea they made 15 round mags. great price too!
@@ArmedAtlas Yep I have two of them so far. One I have 300 rounds through with no issue. The other one I only just got.
Nice! However I like my G17 Gen5. Capacity, perfect size and grip, comfortable, and the G19 would be my next purchase. My wife likes the G26 Gen4. For me, it is too small. I actually CC my 17 and 2 extra mags on my side.
I'd say concealing a 17 is crazy, but I carry a 45 with an X-300 turbo on the rail. it's not THAT hard If you have the right rig & body type
@@ArmedAtlas it's not bad. The G45 is the same as a 17 with a shorter slide. Not much difference in them. I wear long shirts
Thanks for the video
lol, long comment, but well stated. Data matters. Great addition to the video. more coming.
@@waholoopesorry74 illuminating
I still carry the 19 as well. But I have only heard good things about the PSA mags that hold 15, so I was interested in the micro dagger with their mag, which is basically a 43x clone
I put a Apex trigger on my 43x, definitely a much smoother trigger and isn’t uncomfortable like the OEM trigger
Apex makes a comfortable trigger if I've ever felt one. I'm definitely thinking of putting one in
News of the G19's demise once again has been greatly exaggerated. The 43x can be a great choice for thinner built folks. I have no issues with concealing a G19 plus I shoot it better overall than anything else I have tried so far so it is a keeper for me. I did try a 43x and I thought it was good to go.
The G19 has been dethroned. The 43x reign supreme
I just bought a Glock 43X and your impressions are dead on. It’s a little snappy but becomes more controllable with a better trigger, better sights and plenty of practice 🙌🏾
That's awesome! Glad it's working out for you. Definitely thing it's a solid gun. Just could use what you mentioned to become better overall.
Came across your bmvideos. Dope channel bro. Great content, informative, relative, and film work is nice. Keep it up!!!
Thanks fam. We try🤘🏼 Really glad you liked it
I recently purchased the 43x, and I really enjoy this pistol. In the future, I will change out the stock trigger, but until then the Glock 43x is my GO TO EDC.
omg. those micro.dagger mags are a great price compared to shield arms
@@ArmedAtlas And you don't have to change out the mag catch
that's clutch
what major issues did it have??
Nice. I hadn't seen the pro mags. Appreciate the recommendation
PSA killed the g19 when they released the micro dagger mag. So far the psa mags are reliable which I can’t say about the s15 mags personally
I've not heard of issues with the SA mags . but now I should do some research
I think the better analogue would be the Glock 48. With a 15 shield arms mag it’s just a skinnier Glock 19.
Glad you're enjoying the 43x! 19 has its pros! but it's definitely a bit harder to conceal
I absolutely love mine with the EPS Carry. But recently I just added my MECANIC red dot to my back up 43x mos and wow talk about a great budget option that has shake awake and auto adjust very impressive.
sounds like a great set up!
I love my 19. But seems like a legit reason to buy another gun.🤷♂️
19 is definitely better
I generally go with a 1911 style since most are single stack, but this one really fit me well for a Glock..
it definitely seems like it fits smaller hands much better than larger guns.
I use to carry the 43 but now i carry the 43x. It does everything so well.
I don't think I could do a 43. 43x is pretty good tho

Well pleased with the 43x. It just took a little acclimation. Get as much hold on the pistol as possible and it performs very well !!!
I've definitely seen the pistol perform well when you invest time and optimize grip.
thanks for tuning in!
G19 is good to go OEM. You gotta buy new mags and hope they’re near totally reliable. I’m interested in 43x but not keen on adding non OEM accessories just to get that near g19 functionality
and that's why I did the video comparing it to the hellcat pro & 365xl
The G43X is a great pistol, but it's not going to replace the G19. BTW, Palmetto State Armory recently came out with a 15rd mag for $30 that fits the G43X (and the G48), and it doesn't require you to change the mag release like you do with the Shield mag. (And from the reviews that I've seen the PSA mag is far better than the Shield mag.)
I'm this close to getting some when they get back in stock
@ArmedAtlas
This may seem somewhat over picky, but I did notice that it also takes about twice as much effort to push the magazine into the well when it is fully loaded vs. the OEM magazine (strong springs!).
Pathetic! /sarcasm
Living in FL Glock 43x is perfect edc. PSA mags got it at 15+1.
Just got one in on Sunday 🫡
I feel you on that. it really makes sense
It is snappy but it can be fixed. 3lb trigger and change out guide rod. Much better control
What do you suggest for a guide rod
@@ArmedAtlas I went with tungsten steel. Little heavier but less flip.
many thanks
Most people are rooting for the g43x, but have ya shot both guns from a concealment. I tend to fumble a little when trying to pull the small gun out of holster. Thus, resulting in inconsistent gripping of pistol.
There’s a skill gap when shooting indoor range and real life training, shooting from a concealment.
This is an excellent comment. Great points

My g17 i use for competition. My g26 before was my concealed carry. Now its the g43x. Well im keeping my g19 for posterity hehe

@@ArmedAtlas Thanks for responding to my question. Very helpful. Happy shooting!

Fun REAL video... wanting a G43x... love my G19 EDC...
I appreciate the kind words! I really think you'll enjoy the 43x when you pick it up. You might look into an aftermarket trigger shoe for a bit more comfort.
I actually traded my 19 for the 43X, 10 rounds because of its slimmer size. I had S&W Shield and man I thought it way more snappier than my 43X.
I'm still waiting on Radian to drop a compensator for it.
The Glock 19 will never go away because it's the OWB holster gun for police, security, and people with larger hands. Secondly, you don't need anything special to have 15 round capacity. I have a Glock 48 and I have 3 PSA 15-round magazines and it's a smooth shooter with them, as for the PSA 15-round magazines they work flawlessly after 5 range visits but I still have my 10 round magas tho.
people keep telling me about these new PSA mags. they're on my list
Glock 43 is one of the best guns I have a long I wouldn’t change it for the world very concealable just overall great gun
Definitely is super great for concealment. I do wish they had the FCU/COGs system to allow for different "lowers". being able to have a brand new gun at a low cost just seems like a game changer. especially when you loom at the p365 with Willson combat grips. or alternative stipple jobs for different occasions
Basically just get a 19. I’m never gonna have an after market mag.
Probably
@BigTimberLodge Its crazy how many MORE rounds they can manage with that thing. it's just a touch longer if I'm not wrong.
@@ArmedAtlas it is slightly longer in the magazine and the barrel than the 43X. But yeah, real crazy how much ammo is in that pistol.
Great Video thank you
Also new Sub, thank you

Ok, so it definitely depends on your body type. Normally I would just recommend getting a glock 48(slightly better 43x), but if you can easily conceal a full size gun the 19x(mos) is a GREAT option.
My biggest concern is that i personally have to really tailor my outfit around concealing the 45(same as 19x) but I have really no issue with concealing guns with the 19x profile.
When you say you carry at 3 or 4 o'clock in concerned that you'll definitely print. especially with that glock 17 length grip. But with the right holster and attire you might be able to pull it off.
Just get both .
not a bad idea
Ah, shet, I’ll sub.
First time gun owner. Goal is to IWB carry(eventually). Should I go with a 19x or 43x?
I'm so excited for you and honored you'd ask for my opinion. I carry a glock 45(same as 19x) appendix regularly, but I wouldn't recommend it for just everyone. I'd probably recommend you spend some range time with the 45/19x and compare it to a glock 48. The 19x will be very hard to conceal due to the extended grip vs the 43x or even the 48 being easier due to its thinner profile overall and standard length grip.

If you are a man, g19, if a woman 43x.
I'm here because I don't know if I want to get a Glock 19 gen5 or the 43x for my first hand gun.
19 is probably a safe option. But it depends on your needs. The 19x is slimmer & easier to conceal in general. The 19 is way more fun to shoot and build your skills with.
If you are a man, get the 19, if you are a woman get the 43x.
Some states are allowed to carry 10. That’s what the magazine capacities are because the authorities think 10 is less than a gun fight
That crossed my mind.
contemplating getting 43x for my edc. started with gen 3 19, then switched to hellcat, but my dumbass didn't get optic ready version.
Oh no 😬
Yeah, you'll want to look at the Sig 365 systems along with the 43x when you rent. holosun should be dropping a native Optic for The 43x hopefully this year. And I say look at sig because you can change the frame to fit your needs.

Definitely, when you talk about entire companies exist solely to support the platform.
Bingo! That's exactly it
No the answer is no .
I think I'll look into the hand size question for the next video/follow up
renting? a fire arm?? i have never heard of that. what state you in? honestly i’ve never even THOUGHT of that
Pretty much every privately owned range has a few of the more popular options for rental. You can't take em home, but while at the range, you can put rounds down range and form your opinion.
I'd say the good thing about rentals is you can ask about what guns have had any issues and the rental guy isn't emotionally attached the truth. They'll probably just tell you.( as long as you'll rent)

While watching this; im thinking. How many rounds will it take to admit that you really like this gun?
Lol, not many 😅
I think a major point didn't explain is my skill level between my first and (second) impressions. I probably wouldn't recommend this to brand new shooters who haven't nailed down their grip and recoil control.
Maybe the 48 too.
Some say the 48 is a better comp due to the length.
The only win that a G19 has over a G43X is 5 extra rounds. G43X was my choice.
Definitely a stronger choice for concealment
G19 is much easier to shoot well than the 43X/48
Glock 19 is better for home defense cuz I can use Glock 17 magazines holding 17 rounds in my Glock 19. However the Glock 43x is a a better concealed carry option. Just keep both he won't be disappointed
Definitely a solid system. I'd recommend that setup since you CAN conceal a 19 and run any 15+ mag
I’m also a fan of Hogue grips on similarly sized single stack 1911’s.
nah, 2 different categories and purposes.
I'd say for pure concealed carry the 43x/48 has been cannibalizing sales. But 19 will remain king. I'm realizing we didn't really put a bowtie on the video, but it's an interesting idea.
1" vs 1.25" thick is not twice as thick.
There's a joke in there somewhere 😅
But definitely. You are correct.
Would never trade my 19 for a 43x. Prefer the thicker grip and also like my timney trigger that fits in my 19 😂😅
Some say then 19 is a touch too thick.
Definitely more aftermarket support for the OG lines (19/17 ect)
I think some hockey tape might help your grip to a certain point. and I'm hearing an upgrade at Guide Ride & recoil spring takes some of the snap out. reducing the need to readjust the support hand.
Just left the gun store today with my latest purchase and the lady that was helping me said she dont like Glocks lol
I mean, glock is just one brand. Did she tell you what she preferred?
Opening a Rumble channel is best way to respond to TH-cam censorship of 2A community.
I carry a G45 myself. I don't touch the 19 anymore. Are you running the original springs into the 43x?
Glock 19 is still more versatile the 43x is definitely not a Glock 19 killer 😂
You’re using the std 10 round Glock magazine yet there were thirteen shots on the target when you were doing the red target drill. 😂
There was? You counted?
Glock 19 will never be defeated even by Glock themselves 🤣🤣🤣
You seen that glock 49 🤣 we gotta do better.
No. The G43X didn’t. The G48 with Magpul 15 rounds mags sure as hell does for me.
magpull makes a 15?
@@ArmedAtlas Edit. Sorry all, I meant to say that it is the Palmetto State Armory Micro Dagger magazine. Keep the original mag release button from Glock.
ohhhhhh! Yeah, a few guys mentioned those in the comments. I need to grab a few.
@@ArmedAtlas I bought a couple of their "blem" and didn't see any marks. They are very stiff to load. I'm letting them sit loaded for a week before taking them to the range.
Could you do me a solid and let me know how they work out for you? Just drop me a comment or a DM on IG.
Wow!!!
Definitely
The real Glock 19 killer is the expiring patent, there are Glock clones everywhere, as far as the 43X LMFAO! There better options at half the price than the 43X, the ruger max-9 is half the price, optics ready, front night sight, 12 round magazine. Now CZ as a lower price plastic gun, at again half the price. Glock survives on it's name.
You're 100% right
not a killer. i still carry my 19, 43x, a macro and prodigy. good to have options. shoot the best with my 19.
👏🏼options!!
Nope. I have both and they are two different weapons
I guess the next question is why aren't people buying both 🤔
I have both and we shall never part
Buy & Hold
If Glock themselves made a 15 round magazine for the 43x then they will kill the g19.
would cut it's sales in half.. to the Civilian market at least
No
No what?
Two totally different guns
All said & done? yes
Naw the 48 mos did 🤷🏾♂️ and shield mags are trash Psa mags are better and don’t have to change the msg release patience is virtue I waited before messing wit anything I’m talking about
I can dig it
Not even close, it definitely kills the G26 but the only thing that “kills” the 19 would be the 48 MOS. In my opinion atleast.
It definitely doesn't kill the 26 and it's all about preference, and I rather much prefer the thickness over the slim line any day🤷🏾♂️🤷🏾♂️🤷🏾♂️
@@splaatsetshawtyExactly and the 26 is much more shootable than the 43X or 48. Only thing the 26 needs is a light rail.
@@splaatsetshawty You like 'em thicc I see...
Lol 43x feels like a cheap glock and the 19 feels together and quality.
I've run many glocks and really can't say the 43x feels cheap. But that's my opinion, seems you've had a different experience
We're exploring that comparison this weekend. Stay tuned for that video. I think you'll like it.
To ME, only a FOOL would carry a SIG.
sheesh, that's not a glowing endorsement if I've ever seen one
and the 365x micro kills everything
It really does 😭😭😭
Yup, including your wallet lol. jk but not really. :(
One thing about Sig is that after about a good 6-700 rounds, the gun will have issues.
Glock triggers are always garbage. Greta gun, terrible triggers.
Yeah, the 45 has the best out the box that I've tried, but it's hot trash compared to the PDP/Canik or ANY 1911 or DA/SA gun
Gayyyyyyyyyyyy
💅💅💅✨️✨️
The 43x is trash.
strong opinion. but ok
You don't know what you're talking about. Glock 19 gen 3 is king 👑
Gen 3 is probably their best Gen if you want to doll it up.
Glock 43x is a baby gun way too small for me. I will stick with my g19 gen 5 🤷🏻♂️
Definitely not for "Man hands"
Great Channel…Just sub’d🫡
