EP4- FJ40 Rear Door (ambulance door) Lock repair and rebuild.

Removed and stripped down the rear door/ambulance doors lock off my FJ40 for a full re-build.
Very happy with the end result.
Used a product from Tool King for the repair of the rear door inside handle.

Thanks Aldo, all parts where painted in ash grey and then clear coated This is the original Toyota sliver colour. The handle is chromed.

? I have half doors in the rear, but I’d like to replace it with a barn door any thoughts? Does it bolt straight on without modification?

G'day mate, from what I understand you just have to modify where the top hinges go for the bran doors, the easiest way to do this would be to drill the holes at the correct location and install nutserts. This way you could swap between half and barn doors.

between drilling and tapping the rear and the small shim I made, took all the looseness out of it.

I have everything bagged or boxed up and all labeled, I did this as I stripped it down.
