Make sure to spray down the brake dust with soap and water so you don’t breath that stuff in😁

AUTODOC strongly recommends being careful and that all safety regulations be followed when making any repair or replacement.

CAUTION: AVOID UNEVEN BREAK PAD WEAR... If the inner brake pad has a steel tab in the center your PISTON MUST BE ROTATED TO 45 degrees accommodating the Steel Tab on the back side of the inner pad. If not, the tab will ride on the high portion of the piston causing inner pad to lay in at an angle. Just went through this on my daughters 2015 Pop 500 rear brakes.

I would just add that you should pump the brake pedal multiple times so the pads adjust up to the discs, otherwise the first time you go to brake the pedal will go straight to the floor.

What is that wire attached to the inner pad? Looks like a safety in case the bolts break. I haven't seen that before.

I enjoyed the video, and I'm glad I watched it before tearing it apart to find I didn't have the wind back tool (or a car to go get the tool)😁

Thank you for the tip on spraying the piston BEFORE using the Wind back tool. Mine was STUCK. A little spray, wait 30 second and it moved! I got the car finished before the sun went down. I was working outside in my driveway on this December day and as the sun set, so did the temperature.

@@autodocuk in the video it is NOT an Abarth 500. It is a Fiat 500, therefore it is incorrect and misleading.

@@cruisescape I've just done the rear pads on my partner's abarth 595 and I never had to take the hub off. Wind the piston all the way in and you can get the carrier back on easy. Wake up
