Thank you, Tony, for your work. Youre so much better at delivering pacers news than that stooge Bob Kravitz ever was. I swear, he seemed like he was angry to have that job half of the time.
Wiseman could be a good screen setter. Teach him a couple plays at a time. Run them, and some lobs. Develop an elbow jumper, corner. Lock down the interior D, call switches, be vocal, keep head on a swivel, boxout, secure the board. Don't go any further out the paint, than the ground you can make up with a block. Wishing Wiseman well. He has the athleticism, hands and ability to be an anchor ⚓ as well as 65% inside.
Wiseman started 24 games in 22-23 for the pistons. 25 min 12 points 8 rebounds. The defense went from 30th to 17th when wiseman started. Why didn’t Ku khahil mention that? Wiseman improved his hands last year.
So summary from Ku on wiseman: Pros: - Freak athlete and mobile - excellent finisher around the rim - Vertical spacer - runs the floor well - good scorer? - improving on defense Cons: - spacing on offense - defensive questions - screening
Furphy seems for sure he will eventually be at least a rotation player. I really like Freeman and hope he lands a spot. He looked very solid and has a great motor and good effort all the time, which has been a mentality that has benefited multiple young Pacers in recent years. Wiseman is a bit of a mystery, but it was definitely worth giving him a shot in a hopefully better situation. I had really high (but realistic being a second rounder) hopes for Newton and still hope he is able to have some better games. He has some decent skills, but he has to shoot much better than what he did in the SL, which I would think could be improved with some training. I was hoping Newton could be Nembhard's understudy, but I'm not sure what's happening with him now.
Should have had Cyrus from locked on Warriors to talk about Wiseman . Ku in my opinion did not get the full Wiseman experience before his confidence was shattered and he regressed
The 3 comps I would give Johnny Furphy based on upside is Floor - Athletic Doug McDermott, Ceiling - Deni Avdija, Beyond - (Prime) Gordon Hayward… if he puts in the work
Tony fuckin East... bro we are so lucky to have you. I dont think anyone says it enough, but youre such an amazing host for this content. Youre a genius bro. Genuinely my favorite guy to listen to, maybe second to Kevin Bowen. Please date my mom ??

I was so disappointed to see Ku be the person brought on to talk Wiseman 😂😂
Tony should have gotten George Blaha or Greg Kelsey those two were impressed with wiseman last year!
