I was 9 in Oct '79 and in 4th grade...THE worst year of my elementary life...lol. Who knew I'd look back one day with longing! I wouldn't have believed it at the time.

How times change. Back then they thought vegetable shortening was healthier than lard, 😂. I've never bought shortening, I use lard for my biscuits and pie crusts, and I've never bought margarine either, my mom did back in the 70's and 80's, she fell for the 'healthier' claim. Nothing but real butter for me. We live and learn! 😊👍

That was *way* back before I was a teenager and before my dad got our first VCR, when he could afford one.
4:13 "For an army that travels on its stomach." *Now* I remember the last line in that commercial!
9:42 I would prefer Peanut Butter M&M's over that.
10:13 It used to be one of my favorite foods, but these days I would seldom eat it due to poor nutrition.
