just when I thought I'd finished all my holiday knits. . . you just had to show off that croissant which is the cutest and most original knit ornament I've seen !!!! Those cabled socks are a work of art!!
the sweater with the swans is soo beautiful, don't give up on it! if i had to reverse engineer it i'd probably start bottom up tbh, and yes mixing intarsia and stranded colorwork would work out well for this project. with some extra planning it's totally doable. i'd practice using the techniques together on a coaster or a swatch first but they really aren't so bad together.
These videos are so chill, i love it ♥️ always love watching your sewing ventures too because it's hot here in Australia, so I've swapped my knitting needles for my sewing machine for the next few months hahaha
I used that fritidsgarn for felted slippers and was very impressed with it, both the color selection and the felting process. I'm so sorry about all of the pilling you experienced with your bathroom rug. What a nightmare! But they turned out perfect. I am working on a cable blanket with cables working in opposite directions like the December stocking and I have noticed the same thing, that one side is nice and round and the other cable tends to flatten out. It's definitely frustrating. I'll be interested to see if it all blocks out. Those socks by Sari are absolutely breathtaking! I love them, and I'm glad you went ahead and finished them even though it took longer than expected. ❤🧶😊
Beautiful knitting, both of you. I have to say those felted stockings are very cool and seeing the one before felting, is unbelievable the difference. They came out awesome.
Love your podcast! I am knitting on some Sunday Socks in Sandnes Garn Perfect and also the Fika Sweater by Sari Nordlund in one of my favorite yarns, DeRerum Natura Gilliat😊
I have knit intarsia and color work. It is very doable just some yarn management - I did it with 8 colors. The issue can be doing it in the round as your yarn at the intarsia spot is in the wrong place when you get back around.
I did the toddler size of the Monday sweater on a recruiting trip and it was sooo nice to be able to do 2-3 rows, go to our next event, do a few more rows, and then at night when I was exhausteddd at 7pm I could just mindlessly work on it until I was actually ready to sleep
Not sure if this would help with the swan sweater, but Meghan from A Knotty Mess (here on TH-cam) put out a tutorial recently about how she knit her heirloom quilt cardigan squares. It was a combination of both stranded colorwork and intarsia, worked flat. It might give you some ideas about how to move forward and make your swans if you want to check it out. Beautiful knits and great to hear your updates. Merry Christmas!
watching this and knitting up my christmas socks! the comfort & joy pattern by this handmade life. the festive cozy vibes are definitely here, ill maybe have to try and squeeze in that croissant before christmas as well 😆
I put an old tennis ball in the washer when I felted a bag I knitted. That worked fine. You both make beautiful knits and I enjoy listening to you chat about knitting. Thank you for making the videos.
Soooooo happy to see a new episode! I literally love your channel and all of your videos. Your Billie Pullover is stunning and I love that it’s a little more form-fitting, it’s perfect that way! I ran out of my house and off to my LYS when I saw the episode where you started the Augustins sweater but I also bought the KFO green in a sweater quantity so now I’m knitting on the Woodlark Sweater by LeKnit. After watching this episode though I’m going to knit a Monday sweater, probably cast on tonight. I usually knit whatever you two have knit!
Working on my Moby Neck by Petite Knit while watching. The Billie pullover is immediately going on my list of things to knit, it's so beautiful! Happy Christmas to you both
Yay! Happy to see your video pop up! I was wrapping presents while watching and I also got a few rows in on my daughter's Holly Sweater that I am feverishly working on... trying to finish up in time for Christmas ❤️ Hope you both have a Merry Christmas ❤️
I am about to start the Billie Pullover. It will be my first cable sweater so I don't expect to have it finished anytime soon and I'll probably practice the stitch patterns on a swatch before beginning. It's just yarn, I'm not too concerned about it. It'll come out just fine I'm sure. Love your videos!
Love watching you girls. The swans reminded me of something I made for my boys when they were little. Dinosaurs cross stitched in the center of sweatshirts. I'm wondering if you could do that on your sweater. You'd have to use a fabric on the inside. Anyway, just a thought. Love your creativity. Happy holidays. 😊
Hi Jessica & Rachael. Thank you for another fun and inspiring episode. Your projects are always so beautiful. I’m working on a Lulu Slipover by Petite Knit while watching and this video was great to keep me occupied while working on the double knit tabs, lol. 😂 ❤
Aaah, those felted socks are absolutely lovely! Kinda want to make one for myself now even though we do not use these socks in Finland. The "little" count was hilarious 😂
I enjoy watching your knits . Felted socks are so nice !!! And both your FO are beautiful. I am knitting Magnolia Bloom top dawn yoke sweater in bulky yarn inspired by Camilla Vad´s magnolia, but I didn´t buy the pattern, I am improvising and having fun. Wishing you a Very Happy Christmass !
Fabulous podcast ladies ,fun and inspirational.I love to see what you are working on and very much enjoy your enthusiasm,it is infectious.Wishing you and your family a wonderful Christmas🎄 and a very happy New Year.🥳Looking forward to seeing your 2025 projects, best wishes from England 🏴 Happy knitting 🧶 🌺
For the cables, I wonder if your tension was tight knitting the back cable and that’s why you see it on some and not others- essentially it would be pulling the back cable tighter causing the inconsistency? Beautiful makes as always, happy holidays from Colorado 🖤
HI Ladies, You two get so much done, I am so impressed. But on your swan sweater, I think you're wise not to rush it. I have only done intarsia once, on a hat with dump trucks that I made for one of my grandsons. Even on that tIny project I did not enjoy it. I'm wondering how you would feel about just embroidering on the swans? Claudia Quintanilla's new book Memories would have some inspiration. The Monarca sweater is an example. I'm sure she has more. Maybe even a white silk mohair for the embroidery? Done with a bit of restraint I think it could be very elegant. Good luck with it, and Merry Christmas to you and yours.
ooh, lots of finished projects this time! For the swans couldn’t you do duplicate stitch embroidery? I have zero patience for knitting with so many strands of yarn all over the place. Love your Billie! I’m casting it on this week. All of Sari’s sweaters appear relatively tight, especially compared to the usual Scandi oversize aesthetic. I’ll go up a size and also do more raglan increases. The Laura socks are so beautiful. It’s the twisted cables that hurt the hands. I tried twisted cables once on size zero needles. Nope, it was pain city.
Cute stockings gals! Could the right leaning cable issue have to do with the direction that you slip the stitches on or off of the cable needle(ie knitwise or purlwise)?🤔
I am currently knitting the Sunde Sweater, which I first saw on you and inspired me to knit my own (first) striped sweater. I am loving it so far and I am almost done. I was hoping to wear it for christmas, but I probably won't be able to block it before I leave for my home town
Hi Ladies. Your work is beautiful. Regarding the swan sweater - you could try a technique called Ladder Back Jacquard for the swans. Master knitter Suzanne Bryan has a youtube video demonstrating the technique. I’m sure that whatever you choose to do, your sweater will look great. 😊

Merry Christmas girls! Lovely to see your smiling faces again.

Lovely episode as always! While watching, I was knitting a Christmas present (socks!) for my dad!
Both of your sweaters are so lovely. And the ornaments… so cute. And the stockings… just wow!!
Thank you so much!! ☺️💛
Thanks for another fun podcast. I'm knitting the Anthe shawl by Moonstruck knits, while listening to you. 😊

It is so nice!! 😊 I don’t think I even realized she had a child’s version of the pattern but I bet it’s adorable! 💛
@@thosetwinswhoknityeah she’s got a ton of child size versions of her normal patterns in a separate section on her site!

I’ll have to try that next time!! Thanks for knitting with us! ☺️🤍
I haven’t laughed out so loudly in a long time as when i saw the unfelted version of the Christmas sock. 🧦😂 it’s absurdly huge! 😂
It’s comically large!! 😂
I spent this video working on my Christmas socks! I’m using Hobbii’s Christmas Sock Wool Glitter in color 06. Love watching your videos!

I thought you knit a 💩 for a hot minute 😂
Same here lol
I’m dying 😂
Came here to look for this comment…it’s adorable though! Maybe a lighter color would be more 🥐 and less 💩
Thank you for showing the felted socks. I can’t believe how large the finished stocking was.
Working on my Moby Neck by Petite Knit while watching. The Billie pullover is immediately going on my list of things to knit, it's so beautiful! Happy Christmas to you both

When I made my Billie pullover I extended the raglan increases by another inch and a half or 2 to make it more oversized across the board
Aaah, those felted socks are absolutely lovely! Kinda want to make one for myself now even though we do not use these socks in Finland. The "little" count was hilarious 😂
Great episode! I really like the Croissant Ornament and Olympia Sweater. 🧶
Love the stockings and I think your Billie pullover fits you perfectly! I’m working on my Cozy Hoodie by Cozy Knits!

Lovely episode as always! ❤️ I’m rooting for the swans!! I totally want to copy you and make one for myself 😆
The “Little” Count. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Another great podcast. I'm knitting on tbe Sophie Hood. X
Ohh we have both been eyeing that pattern 👀 it’s so cute!!

What is the light blue sweater in the first stocking video, with a mock turtle neck.? It looks really good on your,

Beautiful makes as always, happy holidays from Colorado 🖤
Happy Twins Day ❤❤❤
Ahh we didn’t even know!! What a good day 😊❤️
While I was enjoying your episode, I was knitting my Maya Pullover in Kelbourne wood.

Maybe you could steam block it to still get to wear it for Christmas? 🤞🏼
I use a razor like you shave with on mine to even it out. They turned out beautiful. I want to make a red one now. 29:58
I’ll have to try that next time! I bet it would have been way faster than the shaver I tried 😅
@ it definitely is.

Doesn't the strange flat cable issue happen because of the twist of the yarn? Where you cable against the ply and untwisting the yarn?
I'm working on Winterwoods by The Petite Knitter - great podcast as always - Happy Christmas to you and your families x
Ahh such a beautiful pattern!! Merry Christmas to you and your loved ones as well! ❤️
OMG I really want Croissant Ornament pattern! I really want to pay for that ❤
Ahh that’s so sweet!! I put my notes out on ravelry if you want to make it yourself, no charge 🤗
The “little” count 😂😂
We had a “little” too much fun editing this one 😅
