@Spoufs- Mosquito's are aircraft only accessible by members of the Terran Republic faction, Reavers are aircraft only accessible to members of the New Conglomerate faction. The other three aircrafts you mentioned, Valkyrie, the Liberator and the Scythe, are aircraft only accessible to the Vanu Sovereignty faction.
Finally I've got something of a grasp of how to pilot. Going to try it out tonight. Thank you for the video.

Haha I really really appreciate this basic tutorial... I have only spawned a scythe a few times and I always fail miserably. If I would have attempted to press the spacebar at any time I probably would have been much better off. I didn't realize how to operate the hover. Also didnt realize you could hit T.
Unfortunately not, I don't play Vanu all too often but the controls are all the same. They just handle a little differently really so once you can fly one fighter you can fly them all. It's just practice after that to get used to the handling. :)
im pretty sure you can use the middle mouse button to look around, im not sure if it goes all the way around though

@Spoufs Each faction has a faction locked fighter. TR - Mosquito, VS - Scythe, NC - Reaver
Oh, you need to hold W to increase speed to get it into forward flight mode.
That sounds like it's working. If you mean the engines don't move back, that's an animation bug that needs to be fixed, shouldn't effect actual flying though.
If you haven't figured it out yet: Settings -> General -> Invert Vertical Fly
If you hold CTRL and SPACE BAR you will slowly descend. good for landing.

I'm not sure what you mean by hover mode, are you saying the engines just look like they stay in the hovering position? If so, it's more than likely just a graphical bug.
Could you show the Liberator and the different positions within it?
3:44 classic thing I see new pilots do (except the recovery), they get locked and they panic and crash.
What specific changes are they planning on making to air to air missiles? If that info is available. But I don't understand the problem lock on missiles are supposed to be fire and forget they're usually standoff weapons.
Just press number 2 and it should switch to it. You have to have purchased it first and equip it on the screen before you spawn the mosquito too. :P

I have a question and i think you might be able to help me im setting up my logictech controller to planetsides 2 but everyone i move my soldier he move for about a sec then locks up and doesnt move after that but the other controls are fine any tips on how to fix this would be amazing tyvm for your time

Thanks. Still, it doesn't work in third person. Most of the vehicle 3rd person views are way too close IMO. Plus on the Liberator lower gun and on the Flash ATV a lot of the sudden movements give me motion sickness, lol.
is the M14 banshee worth the money or should I wait for the rocket pods?
so basically to go sharp sideways,i need W+arrows,not A/D ?that alone would require both hands on keyboard. how than you'd aim?
Can you turn you head or rotate the camera? It's kinda hard to dogfight when you can look behind you or to the sides.

Just out of curiosity, would the controls affect anything? I personally prefer to use Vertical Fly Invert (so when I pull down on the mouse I tilt up, and push mouse up I go down) Does that affect anything while flying? Also the sensitivity, i'm trying to find the right sensitivity; I currently have it set to the default 0.50 which is fine for flying however, when I start to chase an enemy I find myself moving the mouse too much trying to get a good shot which ultimately ends in my death. HELP!
what does LOCK mean,and how do you shoot your seacondary weapon?
Press W. If faster press W and space + look little down with your mouse.
is it possible to change the mouse roll to the keyboard ? yawn on the mouse bit roll on keyboard ? i searched my ass off so far to change this
one thing i need to know is HOW to use your second weapon with the mosquito ?? all i can use is the machinge gun, don't know which key to press to get to the rockets o_O
I find it hard to keep control over the aircraft after a hard bank. Any tips?
I tried to fly with mosquito, but it's quite hard in terms of control. I think it was easier back in ps1 (i don't remember tho, I played this game like 3 or 4 years ago). The problem is controls are kinda choppy of something.
While playing, do you use the mouse? If so, how sensitive do you have it set at? I find myself having to drag my mouse continuously just to turn sharply.
What sensitivity do you use for flying? I find using the mouse quite difficult and using the arrow keys isn't great either :(
Is there anyway to look behind you while flying?
is there some kind of air radar in this game like in bf3?
I have a question. In this game you pull the mouse up to pitch up? Right? The thing is that i want pitch up to be used when i drag the mouse towards me. I've tried to fix it in the settings, but i can't get it to work =/ Please help =)

Here is my question, you seem to have very little lag. Do you ever feel lagy.
See, when I play it feels like I bearly get 15 fps, especially when I am playing inventry and more over if I am playing a lush area.
My gauss right now is that my system can't handle this game, but I also have xp...
Any thoughts? I have all of the settings on the down low, including rendering quality which I put at the lowest aswell...

nope. no console controller support yet. it would be difficult to do as well with all the squad buttons

@SG .Stewart you are defining Anti Aircraft.
Waitwaitwaitwaitwait, ... how the fuck do i get it? i know the controls and Basics and im a brilliant Pilot allready. BUT when i go to the aircraft terminal (the Screen Thing) i only get the Valkyrie, the Liberator and the Scythe. so how do i get the Mosquito and the Reaver ( an other aircraft that i cant find)

You make it soo easy, anytime i fly i either crash or get molested by anti-air :D
air combat is broke until u get rockets(for the most part)
i find it easier to use a skyguard and shoot them down then try and dogfight myself
