    This is the best review I’ve seen on the Dyson V10 so far. Thank you for the video. :) Are you planning on making a follow up video?

    Great review 👍
    Just some tips: when you describe something make sure your facing the camera so the mic can clearly pick up what you’re saying.
    Take a breath between each sentence or two. This will give you a clean place to edit.
    When you’re nervous you say ‘um’ a lot, so take a deep breath, focus on something small and concise that you want to say and just say that. You can repeat this several times until there’s a take you’re happy with. Smiling also helps your body relax. The more of these you do, the better you’ll get and the longer points you can make.
    I loved your stories about how you personally found the Dyson helpful, or how you used it or why you felt a certain way about a feature. Like the fact you carry it on your bike, so being light and small and easy to dismantle worked well for your real life experience. These are views only you can share when reviewing. It helps us, the viewer engage with your review. So well done.
    I liked how clearly you showed the attachments. Showing how they work and what they do, as well as how you’ve used them was really great.
    I’d love to see you review more products but I’d also like to see you do other videos about tips and tricks you’ve learned about cleaning certain things.
    Like I said, great job. 😁👍

    A good, honest and I believe, a fair review for the Dyson V10. If this is one of your earlier videos, it was enjoyable and can only get better.
    The main complaint I have seen concerning the V10 is the battery life, and why people complain about the short time, is that they use top power when not always needed. Would they get into their new electric car an use full throttle all the time therefore obtaining a lower mileage? You used the settings sensibly and got longer use.

    Really nice video! We love our V10 and use it to clean the dust mop the same way you do. Thanks for that tip!
    Are you still doing cleaning work? Can you do a long term check in on this vacuum’s performance? Are you still using it? Or have you changed to another vacuum now? Thank you so much!

    For large tile areas use the soft powered head.

    Hi again. Here is a con about the V10 that I recently discovered: It’s a great cleaner, but one that, according to the downloaded V10 instructions, cannot be used on certain types of carpets - and these would come under the loop pile range. The supplied brush bar head for carpets could cause fraying of the tops of the loops, where what you collect in the bin might be as much carpet fibre as it is dust. Dave, Australia

      @mobileminimalist777  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Meshwork123 Thanks! Sounds like you should start a review channel! I think you would be good at giving very comprehensive reviews :) The rugs I vacuum tend to be long pile not looped. However, if I'm not careful the the long carpet can put pressure on the rotating bar and it automatically stops so that it doesn't get damaged. Then I lift it a little so it can start rotating again. One of the rugs I noticed that I got a lot of dust out was a cherry red colour so I could tell by the colour how much was dust and how much was rug fibers. Let me know if you end up buying one :)

      Hi Minimalist
      Thank you for the compliment. Having a philosophy background, I like to undertake research, and it was research which lead me to the carpet fibre issue with loop pile and rotating brush bar heads. I also checked out carpet manufacturers’ websites for further advice. As a retiree, they’d probably be ample time to start a channel.
      That’s interesting about your brush bar momentarily stopping with long pile. As for the pile which is looped, I’d be equally interested should you come across any such style of carpet in your work travels and if some of the fibre in the V10’s collecting bin were that of carpet.
      I’d love to buy the V10, but with wall to wall loop pile it might not be suitable. * The fact that Dyson only demonstrate the use of their V10 with cut pile makes me think that they do not want to disclose in their advertisements that loop pile is unsuitable; and, that a suction-only head for the V series would be too hard to push other than perhaps on the lowest setting. Further, this could mean that vacuuming with a suction-only head could take longer, which of course is not good with the battery life.
      If I did purchase the V10 my wife would be unimpressed with yet another vacuum cleaner in the place. 😀 Still, I will indeed let you know if I get one.
      Dave, Australia
      PS I like your videos. Just the right length with the relevant information.

    Great review! Was wondering if you know how well it cleans the foot wells in cars, the carpets in cars often get lots of sand and grit in the areas not protected with the mats. Do you think if would have the power to suck that stuff out of the carpet? One last question, do you notice any loss of suction when using the attachments with the bristles for smaller areas? as my V6 seems to lose some suction when using these attachments with the brush bristles on the end.

    • @mobileminimalist777
      @mobileminimalist777  5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I haven't tried the vacuum cleaner in a carpeted car only on carpet mats from a vehicle so I can't tell you how well it works on the ground in dirt in the footwells. I've noticed from previous car cleans that it can sometimes be hard to shift that kind of dirt and sand even with the big commercial detailing vacuums. I think there may be a slight loss of suction with the attachments, but not as much as the V6. Hope that helps :)

      I've switched to vacuuming the floor on the medium setting now. However, for you, I set a timer on my phone and vacuumed the house on the lowest setting. It only took me 20 minutes to do the whole house and the battery still had plenty of power left. So I tied the switch on so I didn't have to press it with my hands and left it running. It stopped at 44 minutes.

    thanks! very useful. I was really considering buying this Dyson but I will not do it...having to press the button all the time while vacuming would be a nightmare for me.

    • @mobileminimalist777
      @mobileminimalist777  6 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      The button is on the handle and is like a trigger button and is very easy to press, in fact sometimes I accidentally press it when picking the vacuum up :) Glad you found the review usefull! Having to plug corded vacuums in is much more of a nightmare for me than having to press the button lol.

    Nice review. Thank you. I think the lowest setting is a little too low for general carpet vacuuming: 16 airwatts only is the power it is my understanding. The medium setting at 32 (or 33) is reportedly more suitable. (Of course, if you’re using the machine for business then you’d need to conserve battery power.) Cheers.

      @mobileminimalist777  6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thanks, yes, I should probably use the medium setting more. Although, even on the low setting it picked over half a dustbin of fine dust from a longpile rug in the home of a couple who owned a miele vacuum cleaner, which surprised me.

    • @Meshwork123
      @Meshwork123 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Mobile Minimalist Wow, that’s quite amazing. And I guess you’d be able to get another 10 or so minutes out of the V10 with the lowest setting. I have the V7, but regret not getting the 10 with its Hepa filtration. I also have a bag Miele and the latest and very heavy bagless Miele. As a “maximalist”, I might still buy the V10 (Animal). You can’t have enough vacuum cleaners. 😀 All the best with your videos! You might end up as successful as JimsReview Room; Jim just did a video on the V10 himself. Cheers.

    I own a Dyson Absolute Vacuum, It may very clean well, but the battery does not seem to live to its hype. I actually use and charge up the batteries my vacuum every 4 months. I have used it only 5 times. The battery icon was blinking red. This is not very cool for a high-end vacuum priced at $989.00 the battery replacement will cost $159.00. both are from the official Dyson center. It's kind of disappointing. Oh yes, I never use the highest setting as the suction is too strong for usage.

    I really liked ur video. I wud like to know if it can used for wet cleaning? How many hours does the vaccume run on full charge? Also, Does the low setting good enough to pick up fine dust?

    • @mobileminimalist777
      @mobileminimalist777  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thankyou! No, it shouldn't be used for wet cleaning! I've occasionally vacuumed up the odd drip or two on the floor near the shower which is not good. Dust collects on any moisture that flicks up into the vacuum cleaner head and makes a brown mark, which is hard to clean of if left a long time. I find the low setting does pick up fine dust. However, recently I've been leaving it on the middle setting most times since the battery seems to last a while.
