    I love the travel videos! Yes, the midnight sun, maybe we will get another look when it isn't so cloudy. Can you see the Aurora Borealis in Bodo? What a gorgeous country...

      +Astrogirl1usa The further north you get, the stronger and more common is the artic light. It's very common in Bodø in the winter.

    I love these videos Bjorn, thanks. I learned two new things (1) you need MORE charge in Germany ( ha ha ha - zoooooom! ) and (2) my favourite new name for internal combustion engine vehicles (previously known as Ices) now called - fossil cars - lol brilliant stuff!!!! You could not have put that better!!!!

    Just had an amazing revelation: now the drone can shoot the little drive off from the supercharger shots for you, so you no longer have to walk (or drive?) back!
    Also, for drive-by shots, couldn't you fly the drone somewhere up the street, set it into a hover position, drive by and recover it a bit further down the road?

    Between 41-42 minutes you toggle between the energy and distance setting for the (super)charging display. I've seen you do this in other videos and I must say that, even though I don't own a Tesla, it really bothers me from an interface design perspective that you have to leave the charging window to change the setting. It feels unnatural.
    Why not make e.g the displayed values to the left and right of the green bar, or the bar itself too, clickable as am energy/distance toggle shortcut or something? There must be a better way!
    It's probably a good sign though that something like this is one of the biggest issues I currently have/see as non-owner. The graphics and rendering speed in general could also be a bit more powerful as well I guess..
    Having said this: once again an awesome video, many thanks!!!

    Bjorn i have an answer for questions about 1000 km range. Of course people have to pee, but for example petrol in Germany is 1,5 times more expensive than in Poland, so I can go further in cheeper gas.

    Beautiful countryside. Very nice aerial shots (from your new drone, I assume -- impressive!).
    Question: On long trips like this, do you record every mile? Seems like that would be painful to edit, too much material. You must have many memory cards!

    • @davidbryant2872
      @davidbryant2872 9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +DAVID BRYANT Oh, and I particularly liked the music on this video.

    • @bjornnyland
      @bjornnyland  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      +DAVID BRYANT I have shot videos and road trips since 2007. So I know where to shoot the important videos. As always, I shoot more than I need. But not too much either. I have experienced before that it's better too shoot a little too much than too little. Usually a weekend trip has around 1-2 hours of raw footage and ends up as 45 minutes - 1.5 hours edited movie.
      In my camcorder I have a 64 GB memory card as well as 32 GB built-in memory. Usually I only spend about 10-20 GB each weekend. On longer road trips, such as Europe trips, I might record 30-40 GB or 3-4 hours. Especially if I shoot the sky for 10-20 minutes to make a timelapse of the clouds moving.

    So you went across a one lane bridge. Is there a protocol for how to handle on coming cars? That was a long bridge and you could have easily started across and then another car appeared. Is there a sign what says which side yields?

    Bjord Nyland, is it possible to live in Norway with only knowledge of English language? Do You know such cases in Your country?

    • @meforsure
      @meforsure 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Freighter, I do think its possible. I'm from Sweden and we all know English. Sweden and Norway is basically the same except that the swedes have a harder accent when speaking.

    • @meforsure
      @meforsure 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      JO, men frågan var om det var möjligt att bo i Norge och bara kunna engelska vilket det måste vara ju?

    •  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'd say yes. Even though English isn't listed as an official language, pretty much everyone in Norway and Sweden speak fluent English, and we have quite a bit of English loanwords aswell. The tricky bit may be signs and stores, but most of the time, that can be figured out. I'm not sure how easy getting a job would be without knowing norwegian, but by living in a country, you'll learn the basics of the language fairly quickly.

    • @kevinkrigsvold8253
      @kevinkrigsvold8253 9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +Freighter This is a true story. I visited Norway for work and traveled from Oslo-Andenes over 10 days. Every person that I interacted with spoke English. Even in small towns the locals were fluent English speakers. The week after I got back I had to go to Washington D.C. for work. I got lost and stopped to ask directions and the first three people I stopped couldn't speak English.

    • @bjornnyland
      @bjornnyland  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Freighter It's possible because most Norwegians speak English very well.

    Adding music links is a nice touch. Bjørn, you live in a wonderful part of the world. Your videos might be the only way I will ever get to see and experience your part of the world. If I had a chance to visit, enjoying the local food would be very much part of this. If I could only visit one restaurant I think it would be Noma. www.tripadvisor.com/Restaurant_Review-g189541-d694971-Reviews-Noma-Copenhagen_Zealand.html
    Have you heard of it? I would enjoy seeing on one of your road trips a drive by this location and if you stopped for dinner a few pictures of the food and restaurant would be very special. I hear this is the only place to get pure Nordic food. What do you think?
