The Dangers in My Heart is easily a 10/10 for me, each episode felt very rewarding and granted something to look forward to as their relationship blossomed
When the first season started airing, I remember reading the synopsis and shoving it aside, laughing at how someone in their right mind could conceive such a pathetically edgy plot. So it's quite a whiplash seeing how highly the second season is being regarded, might actually check it out. If it can recover from such a nuclear waste of a premise, all the power to it, but man is it a hard sell.
@vencelfoldi8236 it just goes to show that sometimes reading the synopsis dosent really give you the full story. Everybody even me had that "oh god why is this mc edgy" but now it's been so beloved by the community and held in high regarded, you should watch it it's very very good
Also, much respect for adding S+ because apothecary diaries and dangers of my heart deserved to look down on those others while still aspiring to be at Frieren’s level someday.🎉 P.S. I have not watched delicious dungeon yet because of reasons (Netflix), but will check it out
Honestly, I kind disagree with Echidnut on the Dungeon Meshi as the best new anime this season, Gushing should have taken it. Yes, it's worse production-wise, but it absolutely was the most entertaining show of the season, better than Frieren and Apothecary Diaries in that specific regard even.

The title of 7th made me not wanna watch it. I only gave it a try because of the main characters voice actress (Lena - 86, Kita - Bocchi, Übel - Frieren) and ended up enjoying it a lot more than I thought as well.
Gushing’s humor had me absolutely dead. The part at the end where the heroic fight music _stops dead_ while Alice walks through the scene picking up her teammates was _Deadpool_ levels of hilarious meta humor.

The Dangers in My Heart disrupting the tierlist to have a ravine of a tier between God and S-tier is just poetic, just like the series quaked the anime community by how good of a romance anime it is.
I might gate some hate for this but I have to state it: Apothecary Dairies should be a tier higher than Frieren, it has the best-written female protagonist I've ever seen in a long time and the plot keeps you so engaged that you just can't wait for the next episode to come because you want to see where is this scheme going, not to mention the top tier animation that keeps getting better with each episode ! Not saying Frieren is bad at all, in fact, it deserves all the praise it got for the fantastic job it did but I am saying between those two, Apothecary Dairies keeps you slightly more engaged by its world and plot !

Frieren and Apothecary Diaries made the last few months so great. and now Mushoku Tensei is back as well. anime this year is actually curing my depression.
Nah, Solo Leveling is definitely not an S tier anime, it is low A high B at best, it is not bad, but it is not even close to being memorable, impactful, or having actually new and interesting concepts, it is a good "filler" show and it would be amazing if all filler shows were of equal quality, since you could just randomly click at any show and you would at least not feel like you are completely wasting your time not even having fun watching something but that is it.
You're right. Solo leveling is generic wish fulfillment. The characters are bland and tropey, the setting and world building isn't creative, and it generally does nothing particularly special. I was also glued to my screen with every episode, and binged the manhwa in about 2 days. Not everything has to be "good" to be wildly entertaining.
I think Tis TIme for torture Princess is misunderstood. It should not be watch as a comedy show, But a Feel Good Slice of Life anime. and with that in mind I think its A tier.

Thanks for doing these vids. Some of us have only some time to watch anime and knowing how to best spend our time with lists like this helps us greatly. I watched MahoAko and Frieren this last season (plus a couple i missed from old), but will definitely watch Dungeon Meshi and Apothecary now.

What a perfect choice of song for übel, what else to represent a murder hobbo than the theme song of 2013's best mom? It subtly insinuate to the audience how great of a mother übel would be. I won't fix her because whatever is broken with her is what makes her hot

• Mashe magic and muscle S2
(Very Boring in other half of season)
"Pearl Harbor wasn't even that bad" - Echidnut 2024
Love these seasonal tier lists that YOU make. Always gives me a fresh POV and entertainment while putting me on.
“PEARL HARBOR WASNT EVEN THAT BAD”
Not everything has to be "good" to be wildly entertaining.
id say it was pretty memorable and impactful, def not that creative but compared to literally any other anime in the genre and it's top 3 easily
ORV is what solo leveling wanted to be
I think Tis TIme for torture Princess is misunderstood. It should not be watch as a comedy show, But a Feel Good Slice of Life anime. and with that in mind I think its A tier.
pearl harbor wasn't even that bad
Been reading Dangers in My Heart since like Ch30 and its insane to see how far its come
frieren s tier because of ubel armpit 🙏
spoken like a true nord
This year is looking to be one of anime’s best. Would be interested when all is said and done for a “turn of the century” tier list of each year since 2000.
We can all agree that solo leveling is the best anime of the season
nah, mid leveling weak saf
The manhwa was better. The anime is good but the art is only above average with a weak plot.
nah frieren, kingdom and apothecary diaries were better
@@argy7526i just finish watching all these anime(exept kingdom) and can say that i was wrong
12:39, the starting music for apothecary diaries is the streets of whiterun from skyrim. What a good choice.
Thanks to you i binge watched the magical girl one in one sitting. It was pretty good.
In terms of rom-coms I was stuck in the past for quite a long time with the like of School Rumble, ToraDora and a few others but recently we've been served quite a few good ones and Dangers in My heart is def up there.
Echidnut, your taste is impeccable as always. Love your videos, you make great recommendations, and the tier list is never less than spot on
Let’s goooo now I can have opinions about this season XD. Also I like watching the S-B tiers
Thanks for doing these vids. Some of us have only some time to watch anime and knowing how to best spend our time with lists like this helps us greatly. I watched MahoAko and Frieren this last season (plus a couple i missed from old), but will definitely watch Dungeon Meshi and Apothecary now.
I remember enjoying your videos explaining the alternate timelines of rezero so much, would you ever consider doing something like that for the other Mushoku tensei novels?
Thanks for making these videos, i've been getting into anime recently again and these lists help me figure out what I should watch :D
As a gushing over magical girls enjoyer, I can confirm I read the entire manga BEFORE finding out how old they were. I promise.
I thought I was the only one who watched The Dangers in My Heart! Both VA have put dazzling performances, the adaptation of the manga panels is so beautiful, and overall it's just a joyous watch. ❤
I honestly get happy when you post vids are fire 🙏🔥🔥🔥
Immediately liked after you put dungeon meshi over solo leveling 🗣️🔥
In Pon no Michi, they are playing Mahjong, which is very different from Mahjong Solitaire (the matching game that uses mahjong tiles).
I would have put Hokkaido Girls in A tier. It's one of the better "Average MC get a sexy harem" anime out there in the last 10 years for me.
THE WINNER agrees 👍
Like always, I almost completely agree with you, but... 'The Apothecary to God Tier' and 'Classroom' weren't the best for me. I feel they're artificial, not truly clever. And now that you've added S+ tier, I have to completely agree with you, except for Classroom. Damn! But still, I loved 'The Danger in My Heart' and found it a 10/10.
Happy with the cote placing Ik compared to the LN it’s lacking but it’s a comfort anime for me I love it
What a perfect choice of song for übel, what else to represent a murder hobbo than the theme song of 2013's best mom? It subtly insinuate to the audience how great of a mother übel would be.
I won't fix her because whatever is broken with her is what makes her hot
I just thought I'd quickly browse what anime you rated and how high, but I just had to watch the whole thing because of your jokes and commentary. I rarely subscribe, but now I had to do it. Well done! :)
9:49 bro thought i wouldn't notice the Ultrakill ost, well played
6:59 relatable. Echidnut and i have alot in common, ur the goat man, keep going!❤️
You are very clever. Buttering up Dungeon Meshi and Frieren fans so their fanbase won't mass downvote season 3 of Re:Zero on MAL when it threatens their aoty prospects. I appreciate the psyop bro, you're doing gods work.
Love the use of Nujabes from the Samurai Champloo OST!
The first manga of the dangers in my heart, makes the main character sound as if he’s a serial killer
Dude, the Pan Piano callout was amazing. I subbed to her just because of the Ubel cosplay, but she is honestly really talented at piano too.
_Apothecary Diaries_ would have been God-tier in just about any other season. Bad luck coming out the same time as _Frieren_.
11:48 MADE IN ABYSS
Epic music choices throughout man
Omg fr I love made in abyss. Kevin Penkin, the one responsible for the beautiful OST for Made in Abyss also helped in The Apothecary Diaries music as well.
i could not agree more with all of these placements
awesome video
