Australia actually has 5 trains that use Bombardier MITRAC, as listed below: Transperth B-series (Perth, Western Australia) QueenslandRail Suburban Multiple Unit 260 series and Interurban Multiple Unit 160 series (Brisbane, Queensland) Adelaide Metro A-City 4000 Class (Adelaide, South Australia) QueenslandRail New Generation Rollingstock 700 series (Brisbane, Queensland) And 3 trams: Flexity Classic 100 series, Adelaide Metro Tram (Adelaide, South Australia) Flexity 2, G:Link (Gold Coast, Queensland) Flexity Swift E-class, Yarra Trams (Melbourne, Victoria)
If there is a sixth generation of high capacity trains on Taipei Metro (Most likely under Contract 391 or C391) what do you think will be its design and the traction system it will use?
@@EthanGaming_YT The difference between C301 and C951 is that C301 uses conventional 3-phase AC induction motors, whereas the C951 uses TEFC PMSM's (totally enclosed fan-cooled permanent-magnet synchronous motors). However, both share the same Bombardier IGBT-VVVF (MITRAC 1000).
@@EthanGaming_YT Yes, but there are a few differences. The PMSM's for the six upgraded C151's are not totally enclosed fan-cooled unlike the C951, and as you know the C151 PMSM is from Toshiba. The totally enclosed fan-cooled PMSM's for the C951 are from Bombardier (type is DR1200).

older trains are always the best :)
I will miss GTO-VVVF 😭
Replaced by cheap IGBT-VVVF
I compared the current VVVF with SMRT C151 (note it is Mitsubishi GTO-CHOPPER VVVF), and they sound very similar.
I also compared the original GTO-VVVF (Westinghouse) with Toronto TTC T1, they also sound very alike
@@EthanGaming_YT Try comparing C301 (refurbished) with the Toronto Rocket.
If there is a sixth generation of high capacity trains on Taipei Metro (Most likely under Contract 391 or C391) what do you think will be its design and the traction system it will use?
Design would probably be from CR151, traction system from the Stockholm Metro C30.
This train's motor is a lot like Singapore MRT C751A/C751C Alstom ONIX and C151/Tokyo Metro 03 Series GTO-Chopper.
More like Victoria line 2009 tube stock.

Is this the train with the lowest acceleration rate on Taipei Metro?
No,it doesn,t C381 is lowest acceleration rate
Any GTO Chopper here?
Only VAL256 using it.
