    Your choice of relaxation is a win win situation, for you and us. Thanks so much, Ashley. Loved the story of the kingfisher chicks queuing in the nest. Never heard of this before.

    Very nice. Where I live, we only have the Belted Kingfisher. They are very skittish. The juvis are a bit more tolerant. Would love to get them diving, but my reflexes are just not good enough. Ours are as colorful, but still a beautiful bird. Would love to have a place to have a hide, but around here they are along public parks. I do what I can with what I am given. Have been watching then for years and this years brood seems to be very lazy. I did manage a few nice images of a juvi with a crayfish. Striving and getting the images is part of the fun.

    Your photo at 9:52 is absolutely stunning. The crisp sharpress of the image and capturing both the bird and the water looks incredible

    Man! These shots are amazing and inspiring. Makes me wanna get out more!
    I know in the bio it shows the gear used, but it would be awesome if on each photo it had a tiny caption saying what camera and lense :) maybe what mm you shot at too. :)

    Great vlog, as always, how do you find the Canon EF 2x III Extender with the 100-500

      @WildlifePhotographerUK  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@alunlambert7456 hi Alun, many thanks for your comment, don't tend to use any of the extenders on my 100 to 500. I do have the one times extender, however I do find that it makes the images softer and I only tend to use it for video.

      @@WildlifePhotographerUK Thank you for replying, I’m just toying with the idea of going back to Canon and was trying to work out my options for a long focal length but not be paying £10000 plus for the big canon lenses

      It's the net. These are paid hides with buckets of fish. Proper birders really kick off over these types of setups. You can see what the setup looks like on Google. That said nearly every amazing wildlife shot you ever saw these days was "faked" or paid for so it is what it is I guess.

      @pentagramyt417 I've not done so myself but to be fair there isn't much chance of getting shots like these in the wild because you have no idea where a Kingfisher will dive. I guess they have some value in teaching beginners the basics and such although many people are against them as the Kingfishers can hurt themselves when diving in these setups.
