Great video man. I ordered this. My birthday is next week and I'm the heaviest i've ever been in my life. I owe it to myself to start carnivore. Sick of being 350 pounds :(
I ordered this product on their launch day, been using it for 2 months, and this is my comment: I’ll admit I'm no Gordon Ramsay in the kitchen. My repertoire of dishes is pretty limited. But let me tell you, this product is a life-changer for carnivores like me. The built-in probe and pre-set program is just like my personal cooking coach, ensuring my meat is cooked to best result every single time. Highly recommend this one to carnivores who want the best cooking results in an easy way!
This is the second Tastee Air Fryer Demonstration I've seen. They seem to do a great job with little effort. Thx for doing this, filming it and sharing it with us.
Thank you, Kerry. I keep screwing up good steaks, trying all the different ways to cook them. Now I have a plan and process to cook steaks easier and much better.
I got one and I couldn't be happier! This thing makes cooking it a breeze. It's become my go-to for whipping up quick and delicious meals every day. It's literally better than a pan cooking for me. Especially when the days I just wanted to stay at home and do nothing. I will give it 5 stars!
Yep I love my air fryer, but need to research that more. Apparently coffee makers can have aluminum etc..that leeches into coffee also. I did a heavy metels test and I have aluminum and mercury's
Starting out on the carnivore diet and I have to say, with only meat and eggs on the menu, finding ways to keep things interesting is tough. Being able to cook up some delicious beef with different doneness levels has been a game-changer for me. Thank you for your recommendation!
Just placed an order. As a carnivore on a budget, I think this is a good investment piece. Love how little efforts it take to cook a perfect steak! I barely go out to have steaks, and this one I think will be of great help for my diet!
You definitely get the benefit of fryer & temperature probe integration. To use one, you use both. The same results can be achieved with a wireless thermometer probing your protein set at the same medium rare setting in the wireless proves app. Using a wireless thermometer you'd have to select whatever the closest to 'air roasting' (not frying) as possible. You could roast as high as 400F. If you want a crust to form, add a layer of butter to the top before cooking. The 'steak' setting is a 'roast' setting where air isn't circulated nearly as vigorously as the 'frying' mode. Cook as normal per the temperature probe setting. Should be the same results if not better (with the buttery crust that's developed).
2kg well marbled chuck roast. Cut into 2 inch thick portions. Dry brine in the fridge with Celtic sea salt for 24 hours. 48 -56 hours sous vide at 131F . Pull and rest for an hour wrapped in a towel and left in the bag. Pulled, dried off, and in an air fryer for 8-10 minutes at 400F. Prefect, simple, requires some planning. More budget friendly and as beefy flavoured as a ribeye!
And that view I simply don’t understand. 95% of what I described is hands off and on auto pilot. Time is only money if it takes away your personal time from doing something else. Given that a chuck roast is a fraction of the cost of ribeye, I’m actually benefiting financially.
The probe/app: wow, it's like you have someone else inside the house cooking & they ring the dinner bell when dinner's ready! 💥 What a production company the three of us...well 4 with Adam, we could have had! We did product sales support videos for 12 yrs & did this w/various talent(s) for so many of the major product lines on the Q. Your background clean, nice framing, the closeups...all excellent, Kerry! 👏 Nicely done! Seems like a winner product 😋
If I didn't already have a Dreo Chefmaker, I would probably be buying one of these. This is a great little unit at a pretty attractive price point ($119 with Kerry's discount!). The only thing missing for me is the Sous Vide method of the Dreo that really is quite nice. I think you could probably still get there with this one by adding a 1/4-1/2 C water to the bottom of the air fryer to help 'baste' the meat while cooking. I also really love the grill tray. I can't believe it took this long for a company to figure out we want to SEAR our meat! Great review video Kerry!
I just cook almost any steak (T-Bone and Porterhouse are my favs with lots of fat in it) at 375 (F) for 16 to 18 minutes (20 minutes if really thick), flipping it halfway. I'm happy with that in my basic ninja airfryer.
Hi Kerry, well this is pretty much a cheaper version of the Dreo Chefmaker. You did not mention if it has a 3yr. warranty . The DREO doesn"t require the steak to be flipped half way through, and also has a BROIL function so that after the steak reaches your desired temp, you can hit broil and get a nice CRISPY crust without searing it in a skillet ! BUT, BUT, BUT, for those who are carnivore and on a tight budget , I would say to definitley get THIS over any other "airfyer" out there because the built in temp probe is the key to cooking the best steaks at home without all the guess work !
Right, that was my thought. I get soooo many comments from folks who are new and on a budget. With the temp probe this makes it easy to cook to perfection within a fair budget.
@@Homesteadhowjust ordered one with your code. Thanks Kerry. Also, thanks for all the great videos you do, that have been key to me starting carnivore 8 days ago, and already positive changes for joints, focus, and mood!
Great option to at least be aware of. I have a DREO but this one is a lot cheaper. Air Fryers are great when in a hurry and to be able to set it and forget it is wonderful. ALWAYS cook to temp!!!
*_My own air fryer ribeye steak_* Bring ribeye home from store. Salt liberally on ALL sides & ALL edges. Place STEAKS on wire drying rack in refrigerator for several hours. DO NOT STACK, OR ALLOW ANY OF ThEN TO TOUCH 1 ANOTHER (This part next, varies w/thickness of steak, but my rule is ~48hrs for 3/4" steak, & ~56hrs for a 1", & around ~72hrs for a 1.25" thick ribeye. Cook @ 230°f for 4 minutes on 1 side, then turn over & cook other side 4 min @ 230°f as well. Flip again Then cook 1 minute @400°f, & flip 1 last time for another 1 minute @ 400°f. No need to rest more than 1 minute on rack outside of airfryer oven. Temps & times will vary with hours/days you dry aged, as well as the thickness of your steak. If you've never dry aged a steak for days before cooking, you have no idea what you're missing. Its critical to not overcook a dry aged steak, as its Very easy to do so. At least when compared to 1 that's brought home & cooked straight from store pkg, or thawed from your own freezer. The more you age it, the less cook time that's necessary. 👌 I won't eat them unless they are 2 days minimum in aging on drying rack, or I am completely desperate because I didn't plan ahead. Remember to salt liberally on all sides & all edges, as that does mutiple things, including the halting of bacteria from growing on your meat. You CANNOT PUT THE MEAT ON A PLATE or flat surface. It must be on a wire rack that allows air flow under the meat. I usually turn them once after the 1st 24/ to 36hrs of aging, just to be sure its adequately drying on both sides. If you're not willing to follow the drying instructions as laid out, then don't even bother trying to make the best tasting steak you have ever had. Cook times/temps will vary w/ your own desire/meat thickness, & # of days ag. The low heat, followed by that blast at the end, is awesome. Or you could do the final sear in pan as well, & would be a bit better. Assuming you're using a good quality air fryer that has wire racks vs a bucket.
It does Rare! I have a DREO Chefmaker and it only goes as low as Medium Rare and it usually overcooks thinner steaks. It also never tells me to flip. If someone is out there shopping for a new air fryer, keep this in mind. Even if you don't want Rare steaks you may still at least want to have the option.
The latest software update for the Dreo shows the current temp of the probe while cooking in Chef Mode which is super helpful because my husband likes his steaks rare too. I also like to use Probe Mode and set the finish temp to about 100. Thinner steaks are difficult no matter. I put those in frozen solid and hit them with Broil at 450 flipping every 5 until my instant read says they're done. Sorry for the long response, I get excited talking about steak!
I've had a Chefman 8 qt for about a year now. It has a large window, light and probe and I love it. Cooks steaks rare, medium rare, medium, medium well and well done. A lot of details and useful, unique features as well. This is my 5th air fryer and the best by far.
@@ellieb2914 My Chefmaker is updated to the latest firmware and it does _not_ show the temperature of the probe while cooking in Chef Mode. Maybe it's a regional thing. I'm already looking for the next air fryer that does it better since I want to be working out while my steak cooks not babysitting a supposedly "smart" air fryer to get the steak exactly how I like it. I don't even really want an air fryer as much as a dedicated smart steak cooker that could be programmed all the way down to blue rare with completely customizable cooking programs. I bought my Chefmaker through the Kickstarter campaign and I am really disappointed that they haven't added user-customizable cooking plans or at least the ability to choose the finishing temperate in Chef Mode or at least be able to pick Rare. I'm honestly expecting a company to be able to do this for half the price I paid for my Dreo in the next year or two.
Omg, I always cook mine in the air fryer and love it. And Ive heard some carnivores say they just cant cook that rib eye in the air fryer. No other way for me! Love your videos!
Good demo! I always had a hard time with keeping space for an air fryer, since they’re pretty big… I never got one. It would make more sense as a carnivore, but I have a culinary background and opted for the simple, budget-friendly (non-toxic) + industry standard stainless steel pan instead. (Cast iron = too heavy/energy intensive for one, no grill access currently) A group carnivore cookoff/feast would be so fun to be a part of! ❤🥩
Thanks! I'm anxiously waiting for mine to come in! Your video has calmed my nerves about pairing it up with my iPad and iPhone. Good to know it will be a breeze!😊 Once I get the notification upon the delivery date, I will have a big steak waiting! 😅 i've heard that if you put your steak in a brown paper bag, it helps to cure it to where the flavors come out! Great video!
Just started using a iron skillet the past couple weeks to put a crust on my steaks then Finish them in the grill for a minute or so on each side. I grill 4-5 days a week year round and the iron skillet method is amazing for sure.
I mean, it works decently well, but I don't get why you would do this rather than use an oven. I eat steak about two to four times a week, and I tried cooking it in a cast iron pan, a steel pan, air fryer, and the oven. I finally settled on reverse searing it. Its absolutely consistent and easy to do. Just put a steak (ribeye at least 1.5inches thick) in the oven at 300 for 30 minutes, check with thermometer when it gets to 20ish minutes just to be safe. I pull it out when it reaches a 100, and transfer it to a hot steel pan on the highest setting with five tablespoons of butter. Then just sear each side for a minute or two until I get a good crust and then let it rest for five minutes or so while I make a pan sauce. Its minimal work and it never fails to give a perfectly done steak. I'd tried making it directly on a pan but that is so hit and miss, plus you get that grey layer of overcooked meat near the outsides. Of course if its a thin steak, I just quickly sear it on the hottest setting available with my steel pan, but thin steaks suck, I can't seem to avoid either getting undercooked steak or overcooked steak. Given now narrow the temperature range for the perfect steak is, I think a thermometer and an oven are the way to go.
Wow 🤩 this is awesome . I went to Outback Steakhouse recently and they got my rib eye steak temperature wrong twice . Not medium rare. Yours looks perfect! That’s medium rare!!! Enjoy ! At home steaks now will be better every time cause of this air fryer 🙌🏽
Kerry, holy moly, PERFECT steak/burgers every time, EXCEPT... I ordered parchment paper on Amazon that's a perfect fit: OH MY GOD! No clean-up. My slide out handle-tray is perfectly clean. The parchment paper is a MUST BUY ITEM! I kid you not...try it. You will thank me.
My preferred method: at 6 am when I get up for work, I drop any cut of beef (oxen) into a pot, 3 teaspoons of pink salt, and cover in water. When I get home I lift the meat from the water, place it on my chopping board which is covered in 2 layers of foil, then I use a kitchen blowtorch to caramelise the outer surface. this works perfectly with everything from nose, to tail, including the soft organs, bone marrow etc 🤤🥩.
Brother, I watched the America’s Test Kitchen “Cold Seared Steak” video and I’ll never go back. Put a dry steak (no salt) into a cold pan. Turn the stove on HIGH. When you hear the first sizzle, turn the stove to medium and set a timer for 2 minutes. Turn the steak every 2 minutes until it’s cooked to your preferred temperature. I got THE BEST crust I’ve ever gotten on a steak, no splatter, no mess.
Kerry, have you tried bone in beef ribs? I make 'em slow and low heat for 4 hours. They're sooooo fatty and melt in your mouth! Been following you for almost a year now, (June/July 2023) you and others have inspired me to change my life almost a year ago. Over summer 2023 I lost 65lbs cutting out sugar, carbs, seed oils, fast food etc. At the end of summer 2023 I got serious about fasting and got down to 1 meal a day. In February 2024 I started walking and lifting weights and lost another 10lbs. I am now 175lbs down from 250lbs a year ago. My parents both died in their 60's of obesity related issues. If they were alive today they would've greatly benefited from the proper human diet. Cheers from Canada!!! Dan
Looks like it has no stick coating in part of that construction which would make it unwise to use if you were to dump the fat from it and thankfully the part the touches the food is a stainless steel rack. If dumping fat on your meat after air frying then the air fryer needs to have a stainless steel drip tray at the very least. This air fryer is seems fine if not consuming fat from the drip tray.
Does this air fryer have plastic in it or is the entire inside that heats up made out of stainless steel? If it's got plastic on the inside you're putting harmful carcinogens and forever chemicals into your food....
I have the Ninja Grill Pro Max. 6-8 minutes and steak is done. But for nicer cuts where I want it as perfect as possible I'll do reverse sear to avoid gray bands.
hello. I'm trying to make a carnivore, but would it work better if I used a frying pan or air fryer rather than grilling it outdoors on charcoal like you did?
It depends on why? This air fryer is great for those who may overcook their steaks, it makes it foul proof. I personally enjoy preparing steaks on a grill, smoker, cast iron- I like variety and I know how to cook it. The air fryer is also for speed and convenience… so I think they all have a place
No need for a thermometer after many years of grilling. Mine are consistent and awesome every time. I have started using a iron skillet in my Arsenal lately.
We almost went out this weekend and I told my wife. None of them can cook a steak as good as I can. Cooked in beef fat and butter instead of vegetable oil which has no vegetables in it.
A friend of mine that smokes a lot of meat accidentally left that knife at our house, and I’ve been borrowing it ever since I’ve got to pick one up myself or I got to get a good knife sharpener but I’m in the same boat as you
great video, but a lot of these air fryer videos. they never let you hear the searing marks on the steak with a knife........run it across the top to let us hear. I love the sear.......
Fry the fuckin steak in a pan like a normal person, let rest and eat. How bout a chuck or sirloin with grass fed beef fat. I eat biltong as a munchie, this guy's voice does my head in.
Not way Jose, that rib eye is getting dry brined, seared with tallow, and butter basted in in the skillet or grilled every time! That seared fat is bacon on steroids, and I'm about to cry looking at that grey steak.

Jimbo878 is it cooking all day in hot water or just soaking in cold water?
Dan
Does this product produce a lot of smoke or smell when using ? I need something for my steaks for the Winter
I’ll stick with my Weber Kettle! Perfect steak every time!
Are you up for this on Longhorn Lester's channel? Internet Farmers: Will you accept my challenge?
Looks like it has no stick coating in part of that construction which would make it unwise to use if you were to dump the fat from it and thankfully the part the touches the food is a stainless steel rack. If dumping fat on your meat after air frying then the air fryer needs to have a stainless steel drip tray at the very least. This air fryer is seems fine if not consuming fat from the drip tray.
i like the temp probe plugs in outside of unit - love my dreo but temp probe can be a little tricky👍🏼
Great video, now I know what airfryer to replace my old one with when it dies 👍
@7:12 looks delicious..🤤
I just wanted to see the hands in the air approval 😁
My ribeyes come out perfect every time I cook them in my air fryer!
Is there a way to add some applewood chips under the rack of the meat to smoke it? I'm wanting an airfryer that smokes.
I have a Weber BBQ with steak burner. I love my fat almost on burnt side. I do not own air fryer, one day I will cave in. Thank you for sharing.
I think you'll find better and cheaper options the longer you wait. :)
😮 oh my looks delicious i hope i can buy this in Australia 🇦🇺 im drooling😅😊
I love my Dreo Chef Maker Combi Fryer
I have a Dreo. I’ve wanted the flip reminder feature for so long. Plus, Tastee seems to take less time than the Dreo.
What cut of meat did you cook?
Then you just need a propane blow torch to sear it nicely and done
Best and easiest way I cook my steaks
Just slice my Roasts and throw em in the air fryer.
Add Salt and DONE!!
No need for a thermometer after many years of grilling. Mine are consistent and awesome every time. I have started using a iron skillet in my Arsenal lately.
What was the cut of beef you bought? Anything that size here in the UK would be SO SO expensive!!
Here's my thing: if you let the steak rest, it won't be as hot. Maybe sear it quickly after it rests? Tips?
Looks delicious
Is this fryer forever toxic chemical non stick teflon? If so, it’s a no go for me no matter how perfect it cooks the steak.
Hello, thanks for your interest! Tastee uses non-toxic coating free from PFOA and PFOS. We always put our customers' health first.
Do they work in a similar way to microwave ovens ??
Is the air fryer have plastic on the inside where it get hot is it PBE free
Nice steak have you tried the maldon smoked salt have a try
I was waiting for those arms to go up. :)
We almost went out this weekend and I told my wife. None of them can cook a steak as good as I can. Cooked in beef fat and butter instead of vegetable oil which has no vegetables in it.
Dr Sean O’Mara says your steak is perfect-watch some of his videos on visceral fat. He’s in Minneapolis.
What kind of roast is this?
If I'm not going to fire up the grill, it's a cast iron pan with bacon fat or beef tallow.
What is it with North Americans and the inability to use cutlery properly?
Cast Iron Skillet
Find an air fryer that doesn’t have forever chemicals in the metal coating. Find one that is all stainless steel.
Those steaks are huge 🤤
Check all air fryers for toxic PFAS! 🥩❤️❤️
Way to small.. As much meat as I cook for me and my wife I would need a few of them..
What kind of knives do you use to cut the roast into individual ribeyes?? Mine is pathetic!!
A friend of mine that smokes a lot of meat accidentally left that knife at our house, and I’ve been borrowing it ever since I’ve got to pick one up myself or I got to get a good knife sharpener but I’m in the same boat as you
Steaktastic! 😊🎉
Yum
Hell yeah BO!
How toxic is your air fryer. Look into it. Very important. Glass air fryers are your best option.
🙌
My air fryer does not do steaks well
Sorry to hear that! Give Tastee a chance to impress you! You'll find it extremely easy to cook a steak to your desired doneness.
Let's be honest.Temp is fine, but we all know that a steak needs a crust. You can't get that steakhouse crust with an airfryer.
great video, but a lot of these air fryer videos. they never let you hear the searing marks on the steak with a knife........run it across the top to let us hear. I love the sear.......
Gotta make money somehow, I guess.
❤❤❤
age salt your meat
Cooked in metals from a country where there could be lead and all sorts of more toxic stuff in the metal. Don't use a air fryer.
Fry the fuckin steak in a pan like a normal person, let rest and eat. How bout a chuck or sirloin with grass fed beef fat. I eat biltong as a munchie, this guy's voice does my head in.
23+13 Anyonr ever cook s steak for over 30 min?😮
Not way Jose, that rib eye is getting dry brined, seared with tallow, and butter basted in in the skillet or grilled every time! That seared fat is bacon on steroids, and I'm about to cry looking at that grey steak.
No substitute for tallow , butter and a cast iron pan .
Isnt ’carnivore steak’ just steak?
Kerry, you washed your hands 🙌 but didn’t wash the air fryer basket and rack…….yuck
Off camera after
No, actually I don’t want to watch to the end. There are enough commercials on tv already. I love you Kerry but I’m not going here with you.
Lets cook in plastic.
Please have a better microphone your voice is not that clear
U.S only. Too bad
Hold that fork differently
