- Beautiful Bantayan Island Cebu is one of the best tourist spots in Cebu. In this vlog I look at the top 18 attractions in Bantayan Island (part 3). If you haven't seen my other videos please check part 1 and 2 out. I look at the German ruins and cliff diving, one of the most popular things to do in Bantayan Island. Also with some drone footage. If you are looking for where to eat in Santa Fe, I look at some of Bantayan's food delicacies such as dried fish (danggit) and their famous bbq Taguangkan. The island is famous for delicious and affordable seafood. I look at some of the best places to eat in Bantayan, including the popular MJ Square. I also checked out Street food, pop up coffee and Kermits Cafe in Bantayan town. We rate the best pizza in Santa Fe.
There are a number of famous caves on the island - Ogtong Cave and the one at Nature Park (Santo Niño). We take a dip in their cool waters. One of the top places to visit in Bantayan is St. Peter and Paul church and parish museum, an excellent place to visit. Kiteboarding is popular during the windy months. Maalat Baywalk was a fun place to check out. Visit Kota park to see an old fort, the pier and watch beautiful sunsets. I also look at a less known tourist attraction, the fort in Santa Fe. Hire a scooter, prices range from 200 per day +. Then we sum up what a guide to Bantayan for a 2 day itinerary. This is the ultimate guide to this awesome island in the Philippines.

The province is so different it's like worlds apart. Coming back to Cebu City it's just depressing! In the province you can feel human again!

Quite amazing to see how more retsurants (including the weekends-only 'food court', subject to weather) have opened. Let's hope with the slow return to normality that more Filipinos and foreign tourists will visit islands such as Bantayan so that incomes can recover from the undoubted hit many have sadly experienced during the past 26 months.

Yes, too many people have been struggling. Not only money but mental health as well. Hopefully the worst is behind us. Tourists, both local and international need come back and start spending. Tourism in the Philippines was in a real boom prior to the pandemic and it was sad to see that come to a grinding stop. Anyhow it does look like we have turned a corner. I was there in 2013 there was and old Spanish fort up in the jungle back then the island was quant and shabby I loved it then I went back in 2018 I miss the island of 2013
Yeah with its popularity with tourists it has changed a bit, particually in the last 10 years. With the expansion of the runway which will allow direct flights from Manila it's going to change a lot quicker in the future (after COVID).

One day it will open again, but who knows when!. Thanks for the feedback. I have found by appearing in the videos more (at least from TH-cam's algorithm point of view) people watch longer, more people subscribe and in general perform better. I understand some won't like it as much and I'm conscience of this. I don't want to radically change my style. I'm currently doing some more accommodation in Bantayan video (part 2), you will be glad there's not much selfies in it! Cheers

Nothing official still. Tourism minister was hoping for the end of the year. The president wants at least 50 -70 million vaccinated before they lower some of the restrictions (that may include international tourists). Still just a wait and see.
You look like you’re having fun. Wish I was there! Australia is a god damn prison right now. Shouldn’t complain being in S.A we’ve been virtually untouched throughout this pandemic but on the flipside I haven’t had a life for years and I miss traveling and adventure. So jealous but at least glad to see some people having a good time.
I'm back in the city again and back to face shields and all the covid protocols, being in the province is worlds apart. You still need a masks but it's just so much nicer to get around. You can just be more "human" there. My bro complains when they have those snap lockdowns in Melbourne.
@@FindingParadise Any Covid cases reported on Bantayan? Has it been untouched? Adelaide has been extremely lucky but the downside is I’m incredibly bored. I know I’m whingeing but when you’ve travelled constantly for 16 years not traveling feels like not living.
There have been but very low. I don't know how many though. News gets around fast there, I didn't hear of any having while I was there. I felt the same being stuck in Mandaue. I needed to get out. I was planning to spend 3 weeks in Bantayan and i ended up spending 3 months! I just felt freedom there. Just even getting out on the scooter riding around the island by myself. Anyhow hope things improve soon. It's all bad on your mental health. Take care mate.

I couldn't leach at sand bar when I visited there because of bad whether.By the way , have you been to Kalanggaman island ?

Actually a few days after i rented the bike, someone tried to rent me a bike but I said I already I one. He asked how much blah blah. Long story short he offered it for 150 per day!
