Instead of funding Royal Weddings on tax money why don't they spend the money on making shelters for the homeless in Britain?

For once foreign media gets to talk about India beyond being a land of snake charmers , elephants and slums. This family sponsored multiple mass weddings and attended them too. They created business transactions and boosted economy like no other. While an average Indian too goes overboard when there is wedding in the family, why should the richest family shy away? In Cyprus it is normal to invite 5000 guests at weddings even for poor people. In a very small party about 250 people are invited and there is a problem because most of the people are not invited. All the guests give money as a present, therefore the weddings with many guests are considered very profitable. The wedding may cost 40,000 euros but 100,000 euros fare received from the guests.

I can totally understand this massive wedding. The Ambani is a rich and powerful family so it is logical that they have a huge umbrella of network including their immediate families and relatives. Naturally parties and weddings will not be small feat for them. If I may be right - the lavish ceremony, the luxury goods, the parties might be wedding presents from their powerful friends. For what would you give a family who has everything? Of course you'll splurge on a wedding present because the network you'll get will be massive too if the Ambanis shine their light on you.. When you are at the apex of success everyone is your friend.

Please, at least this is NOT stolen money. It's the hard work of this man and if he wants to spend ,so be it. BBC and the jealousy people got triggered because even the richest kings old days or the Buckingham Palace couldn't effort such an expensive wedding. If you are talking about their genuinely loved yes they are childhood friends. dont be so jealous about someones success

Marriage is all about friends and relatives and celebration of 2 souls but as an Indian myself I can say that this wedding (event) was merely an ostentation of their wealth and more than half of those guests were not even related to them or met for the first time 😂😂. They just teased their fellow Indians by showing all this show off and opulence and to make them feel how Poor and unpreveiliged they are. Interestingly they even raised their tarrifs of their telecom business to it's customers right in the middle of this ugly show off 😂. They dont even participate in charity towards needy people . What a stark contrast between them and Indian Philosophy 😢

We, Indian, love to flaunt our money on weddings... majority of Indian parents start to save money for their siblings soon they were born depends on your income ( Akash & Radhika's weddings were most expensive wedding the world have seen ever)...Annant & Radhika were in love from their school days and I wish them to be very happy and healthy life together..

What we know about the bride and groom in short, yes they are in LOVE and they dated for a looonggg time before marrying. He wasn’t as fat as he looks now, he’s gained his weight because of health issues - steroids mainly, that was actually cause he had chronic asthma and that steroids were the cure but the side effects was his weight gain. She’s been by his side through out, they’re always on the spotlight but they’ve always been seen away from any dramas. I think it’s a good match.

I am glad you are talking about Indians on sustenance.. but then let us also put some spotlight on the number of Brits on welfare and food-banks. How does BBC react to the coronation of King Charles and the wedding of the princes.
Was that spending too much and how much did the British government spend on those ?

Did Prince Charles love Diana when they got married???? I agree, don't be cynical lady asking about whether Radhika loves Anant...I think they love each other a lot n their marriage will definitely last longer than most Royal marriages!!

800 million? Are you living in stone age . And if it's in dollars so what can people do because it's by Indian standard it's okay. Because in those poverty stricken house there's electricity, sometimes tv, fridge, internet, they use that others do . So still you think that people are living in hunger . Look at yourself Britain you have more extreme poverty stricken and homeless people in UK .
