You are doing a good job by attracting people by the means of mainstream media (the meg and subnautica) to the topic of ocean life and bringing more awareness And that's very smart to bring awareness through entertainment
You're so blessed to have a home next to the great Atlantic Ocean! I've also been blessed by seeing this Ocean many times, absolutely breathtaking. But 16 degrees C is really warm actually. My dearest Baltic Sea is like 3 degrees C at the moment. 😃 Amazing footages, loved it.
lol I was thinking that too, I'm also up by the Baltic and 16 C is pretty much the best you get on an average summer day here. I'm guessing Portugal must be a really awesome place to go swimming in the summertime.
i have just found your channel through the subnautica videos and it is GOLD. the way you talk about what it is you're doing is just so wholesome and positive
Love the footage of all the marine environment there, and the outcropping geology around the place. The ripple marks of the sandy sea floor will always look soothing for me.
Such a beautiful video with such great music choice and clips. It captures a whole different layer of beauty of this incredible landscape. Thank you so much for sharing this adventure!
I'm very impressed that you could get enough underwater footage while snorkeling! I am a scuba diver so I can keep my camera steady while filming my dive videos. When I snorkel, I IMMEDIATELY float back up to the surface (buoyant butt LOL). I love these types of videos - can't wait to see more! :)
That was very nice to watch, above water filming was stellar as always, and like you said, underwater filming was inhibited by other factors, but you're killing it by virtue of doing it. Plus, there's a kind of charm to not having absolutely EVERYTHING be perfect regarding cinematography. Whenever the virus clears up (fingers crossed),, a series on different aquatic sanctuaries would be cool to figure out how to do. Like what specific issue made the sanctuary, what kind of pushback there was if any, and the impact seen over it's lifetime. Basically the information you provided on this one and whatever else you think would be relevant. Again, great vid as always, even though there were little hiccups, but I'm sure you're going to use them as learning experiences rather than make habits out of them. No matter what you decide to do, I'm excited for the future of the channel as always!
Thank you for the sweet comment. I would really love to make more videos like this when all this clears up and I'm able to go to other places. The sanctuary idea is actually pretty great! Thanks for that
So glad you're looking happy & able to get in the water Maria! Also, I love your Subnautica videos, I've been considering filming some gameplays too and been recommended that game so much! Let's see if I get the courage 😋. Hope you're healthy & safe x
I'm making 2 comments because the topics of each are so far off from one another. Lol. Watching this really brought back a few great memories: The first of which was while being stationed onboard my first boat, I'm in the U.S. Navy Submarine Force, and we were doing a swim call in the Caribbean. You couldnt really see them before you jumped in but once you got in the water you saw, what was probably, hundreds of tiny (1 in. or so diameter) brown jellyfish. That was the first time I had really swam in such close proximity to anything other then a human or domesticated animal so I was really in awe of it. The other was while I was stationed in Hawaii on the island of Oahu. There is a place up on the North Shore called Sharks Cove. It's a "small" natural sanctuary. There we always tons of small fish, sea urchins, even a couple of sea turtles in there everytime we went and the deepest part of it was probably 20ft so snorkeling was the best and easiest (imo) way to see it all. I for sure saw what you ment by the current made filming difficult just by watching the fish and such knocked back and forth during the few clips you did get. I was brought to your channel by the subnautica playthrough but for sure have been sucked in by all the other content you provide for your community. I hope you keep having fun while doing this (because then what's the point?) and bring us along for the ride as much as possible!
Thank you for the great video :) The place looks so lovely, I miss the open sea and ocean much Where I live it's thousands of kilometers to any big water (Russia, Siberia) at least I can feel it like this 😃

I understand you missing the ocean and being glad to be back in it. I just moved from Washington state, USA right on the Puget Sound and Pacific Ocean where i could dive whenever i wanted to Kansas, USA where the nearest thing to dive is 5 hours away. I miss the water. I'm glad you are able to get back in the water.
Living on the gulf coast of florida, I wish the water was as clear as it is over there so that I could see the wonderful flora of our waters. At least there are endless shorelines to explore. The flow of the waves has always been so calming for me. I'd live in the water all of my life if I only had gills. Please come visit the Gulf of Mexico someday. We have wonderful sealife like marlins, tuna, sailfish, and stingrays. Our manatees are particularly adorable and the mangrove forests are incredible. We'd love to have you stop by for a snorkel. ^^

Depends where you are from. In the UK its 3 years for your degree usually, a year for your Masters, and 3 - 4 years for your PhD. Things can take longer however, you may choose to take a gap year during your degree for 4 years there, find you cannot afford fulltime for your Masters so opt to go part time adding another year, but get your PhD complete in 3.... I know of one PhD student who took 10 years to complete their PhD, though to be fair he was largely part time....

That is actually a great idea! Lets see where I will be at during summer xD. Let's keep in touch. I am in Portugal until the end of January. If they don't cancel my flight again, I will be going back to Vienna on the 28th.
@@Seamemaria hoping to get back to italy soon but might be in austria until then... lots of waiting games these days...
I did badly at school so it's too late for me. I'd love to be a marine biologist.
For me taking off the wetsuit was always harder than putting it on! :)
Lmao im just here for subnautica, also, that does not seem like winter y envy u...
Mam, how many years it take to be a marine biologist
Depends where you are from. In the UK its 3 years for your degree usually, a year for your Masters, and 3 - 4 years for your PhD. Things can take longer however, you may choose to take a gap year during your degree for 4 years there, find you cannot afford fulltime for your Masters so opt to go part time adding another year, but get your PhD complete in 3.... I know of one PhD student who took 10 years to complete their PhD, though to be fair he was largely part time....
