Thumbnail's a bit misleading. I thought we'd see Clapton himself discussing the guitars like he did in the "Martin Eric Clapton "Crossroads" Signature Guitars: Presented by Guitar Center" video.
What a beautiful guitar to look at it, and even better to play. One of the finest acoustic guitars ever produced. The fact that one of the greatest guitar players of any generation owned and played it, m makes it irreplaceable!
Very beautiful guitar. Appreciate learning it's history. Am curious about what happened to Martin during WWII? How did they recover? Respectfully, it really would be nice to hear a little more of the actual instrument. Thanks for sharing.
Don't wanna argue w/ George, but that's "aught" not "oh". As in triple aught 45. Not triple 0 45. Also, where is Clapton at ? My fave story about George is during the Hippie daze when you'd go to his house to look at guitars and he had snakes freely slithering around the house.
oh i m sorry !!! i was expecting though to find it live..like eric playing on that chair .. cause when we look at a photo before we click we expect to see what it let people think .. anyway .. my fault though .. "however I do understand where you are coming from." what u mean?
Taistoisitcon Merci I mean that I agree that it can be seen as a misleading thumbnail, but to be fair the picture is in the damn video. It’s a Gruhn Guitars video for Christ sake, you should be able to make an educated guess that it’s going to be about the guitar itself, not Clapton playing live. There is still plenty of footage of Clapton playing an acoustic guitar on TH-cam, so go and find a different video. Some people are actually interested in the history of the guitars shown.
And after all that build up of how special the guitar is.......not even a hint of it's value. Stick a few grand extra on anyway since Clapton bought it!
@@RavnerRavner just simple, vintage guitars became to expensive. 20 years ago, we ( musicians) could afford old Gibsons and Martins, nowadays only investors or Hollywood actors :-)
One thing I noticed right off rip... The bald guy with his giant rings on his fingers, banging and clacking the guitar. This will put small dimples in the instrument. I would NOT buy an instrument from this man, be it $100 guitar or a $100,000 guitar. If my business was handling delicate wood items, I would not be wearing hardened jewelry..
Clapton is my guitar hero

Yes! Lot of bla-bla and no Clapton playing - totally misleading.
👍🏻
Gruhn says you can call Martin and they can tell what maker by serial number. Great piece of information. Thanks George, you are an expert.
Loved the detailed specs on models not shown in the video too
Beautiful instrument. Thank you for the history lesson, Mr Gruhn 🙏
A triple 0 Martin with a quintuple 0 price tag ;) Always nice to hear from George and his soothing voice.

that is a beaut❣❣
the snow flake fretboard inlays are much more appealing than the 45 style hexagonal inlays!

My dream guitar
Thanks for a very informative video. I loved the Martin model designation description.
Nice to see George still clanging his rings on a 6 figure guitar
beauty it is in great shape
Stunning guitar.
Mystical, magical, Martin!
Remarkable
new one sounds gust as good
didnt know about gruhns when i wrked in smyrna...
Why didn’t he play it?
He may not be allowed to.....even if he is the owner of the store. Sometimes that happens.
George Gruhn is the Behram Shah of guitars.
Jeez Louise guys! All that talk and you don't even play it so we can hear this fantastic guitar ring. What a wast of a demo.
Totally agree! I feel ripped off.
Typical Gruhn " demo"
That’s as good-looking a guitar as you’ll ever see.
Wouldn't mind having that....
This instrument is a piece of fine jewelry..

I can’t imagine what it’s like to own a guitar like that - oh well I can dream dammit
Is this Guitar for sale??
I’d give my kidney for that guitar lol
and both my nuts........
@@youroldshopteacher1691 you'll be singing like Demis Roussos
What is the name of that tune he plays at the opening?
I am assuming something of his own creation..
Pretty stuffy
I came here to se Clapton
stop making photos that don t exist in the video !! it s just misguiding and unfair
Taistoisitcon Merci the photo is in the video, however I do understand where you are coming from.

wowwww ok ok sir calm down .. i told you you were right after your point ..
I think it's a Martin 00 000
As in £200000
@Hammerin' Hank riiiiiight....
And it's only 14,000 dollars...!!!
more like 140,000
And after all that build up of how special the guitar is.......not even a hint of it's value. Stick a few grand extra on anyway since Clapton bought it!
Who cares, many less expensive guitars sound better
Oh boy
Is this guy a librarian full time to pay the rent?
Man I still swear my cedar top solid rosewood Takamine is top dog.
Guitars for Investors, not for players, stupid market !
what is wrong with the market? I'm interested in your point of view.

Yes now the rich found another way to get richer
Went to Gruhn one time, they are not very friendly.

you're not Mr Gruhn's intended clientele
@@RavnerRavner LMAO Exactly.
He doesn’t care, just sees $$$
Just play the fucking thing!!
I hate click bates. You are misleading everybody with Clapton’s picture.
Unsubscribed.
Click bait, not bates
Well that was disappointing
