    It might be the ponytails babe. As a cosmetologist, we learn that putting your hair into a ponytail can cause stress on ur scalp. It can cause it to bleed, turn red from irritation, and even cause hair to be pulled out without you even noticing. It’s nothing serious to worry about. Just take a break from putting your hair up.

      I think it happened to Jojo Siwa, too? No shade intended at all.
      The only 'tight' hairstyle I can withstand without getting a headache is braids, and I assumed that's because the stress is more evenly distributed over the scalp.

    How could he be on a dating show when he's a 'registered sex offender'? The answer to your question is there was no such a thing as a registered sex offender in the 70s. I don't think the registry came around until the 90s. And computer databases weren't as prevalent back then either. People had to literally share paper files. He wasn't a 'sex offender' he was just someone who had a criminal background, but back then no one was able to check up people's criminal activity that easily.
    Also the odds the motorist was watching the news when the sketch was released was pretty high in the 70s. There weren't that many channels or shows in the 70s and everyone pretty much watched the same thing at the same time. You couldn't even record anything and there was no internet to stream. You watched stuff when it was aired. So yeah, there was a good chance you and all your friends/coworkers watched the same thing the night before.
    And that's your history lesson from your resident old lady who lived, kinda, through this period of time :)

      @deeriehl7032 ปีที่แล้ว

      Glad you added this. All things that popped in my head with my old lady chuckle as she mentioned them. My only add is when databases started being used it was limited to local areas and current, forward data. It took years for old cases to be logged and cross referencing to happen, and even then it was at a state level. Every state was doing it different making national level searches difficult. The origins of the UCR may have started in 1929 but it wasn't until 1988 a standard was adapted by where reporting was the same across all states.

I'm in the Spokane area & Robert Lee Yates was a huge serial killer at about the same time, even close enough to have a murder case the local police thought might have been linked to Gary Ridgeway. Just to add, since I'm texting... I really don't think it was anywhere near 100 murders that Rodney Alcala actually committed. Sounds like maybe dozens tho, which is terrible enough... basically all humans can pick up on other humans emotions but a lot of us are focusing on our own thoughts and our own emotions so we don’t pick it up, my dad studies this a lot so i learned it from him and it’s super easy for my to just turn off my thoughts and feel other peoples (it sounds weird but i swear it’s not) But when you get that “bad instinct” feeling and it’s really strong that it feels like that gut feeling then yea you should trust it 100%

These days they just freak out when we smile at them unless at work/school etc where it's just polite to. Maybe it's because we're not in their DMs? Who knows? I remember he creeped me out when he put his hand on my shoulder from behind. In the 90s a caller phoned in talking about his passion for killer prostitutes and the things that he was saying resulted in the show handing over the tape to the FBI because he was saying things about victims that they hadn't released to the public, that only the killer would know. Looking at the statistics in the UK, it turns out only 0.001% of the male population committed a murder so any fear women are feeling is irrational and built upon sensationalist stories such as in this video. You have more chance of being hit by a moving vehicle than to be killed by a man. Also, don;t you think men are murdered too. Again, looking at the UK statistics, more men are murdered than women and the difference between the murderers being male or female is so small it's practically insignificant. Stop hating all men for the sake of what 0.001% of them do.

    If you were alive in the 70s and watched that show, he did not come off as creepy. That's what the show was like, really cheesy and hokey with a lot of innuendos. He actually came off very well. His answers made the audience laugh and the contestant. It's important to think about how normal somebody can seem and still be a killer. You can say now that you think he's creepy because you know what he did, but if you didn't know what he did he seems like he's funny, charming and attractive. Monsters come in all shapes and forms.

    I'm glad you did the research and found that there are a lot of Virgo people in the world.
    Virgo can be very meticulous and rigid in beliefs and so set in the ways. It does make a bit of sense bc it's never good when a person gets stuck on bad thoughts in the head but I think a Virgo might dwell or take that to far bc of the driven mental capacity.

    “Lesser offense of child molestation.” Ugh!! This infuriates me because this offense should warrant a life sentence! These monsters kill the innocence of children and impact the child for the rest of their lives, therefore the offenders should get a sentence that impacts them for the rest of their lives! Even IF a child is able to heal from the trauma of molestation, it leaves a really bad scar. It’s so unfair that child molesters don’t get sent to prison for life unless they kill someone!

  • @renboneify
    @renboneify 2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

    Why can't he have been given a harsher sentence from the beginning? Trust me, if he'd been Black, even if innocent, he'd have gone to prison for at least the better part of his life. Welcome to the US! Especially in the decade right after Jim Crow was, in the legal sense, overturned by the Civil Rights Act.
