    Just got these. I didnt know that the switchback bulbs also have an auto dimming feature after 2 seconds on both white and amber functions. Obviously its so they don't get too hot but I kinda wish they would stay that bright all the time and put a fan on instead.

      When I installed my V6 Tritons, all I had to do was switch out the OEM flasher for a heavy duty flasher on my Ford E-350, and on my 99 Ford Ranger, I switched it to a LED Bulb flasher from NAPA. No hyperflash, or resistor needed.

      @RetrofitSource It's okay. I found the reason why it didn't fit. I thought it was the screws, but when I removed the headlamp and saw the bulb base (what the gasket/seal sits on) a bit too big to fit in the opening (on the aftermarket lamp) and just touches the edges before the screws can enter the slots. I had to shave the bulbs base diameter down to 1.25in, same as what the OEM sockets base measured. Now, the bulbs are fully installed and work beautifully. I could've shaved off the opening from the headlamp, but I didn't want to risk getting shavings inside the lamp even with tape covering. This was on a 01 Lexus GS300 by the way. Thanks.

    Another video of a guy with a Ford Flex claimed it hyper flashes “after” being on for a while…He also made claimes of heat and sequential blinking cuz his front signals uses 2 on each side🧐… I questioned hood installation😒

    • @RetrofitSource
      @RetrofitSource  ปีที่แล้ว

      Some Ford vehicles have a function called Forscan, where vehicles are programmed for halogen bulbs from factories. To fix the hyper flashing issue, we would recommend using the plug-and-play resistors and re-programming the car through forscan.

    • @akmarksman
      @akmarksman ปีที่แล้ว

      @Ishmael Greene All I had to do on my 2 Fords was switch out the OEM flasher for either a heavy duty flasher like in the case of my 06 E-350, or a LED Bulb flasher from NAPA for my 99 Ranger. No hyperflashing, and no resistors needed.

    • @xtremegamer2218
      @xtremegamer2218 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@akmarksmanThe thing with newer vehicles is that they do not use the traditional flasher relay that is easily replaceable. The flashing of the turn signals is controlled through the vehicle computer, meaning that you would need to have specific bulbs and/or need to reprogram the vehicle computer to stop hyper flashing.

    In my personal experience, having rear leds can be blinding for drivers behind you. Just like how your not suppose to stick leds in a reflector style headlight. Can you comment if this is an issue of concern?

    • @RetrofitSource
      @RetrofitSource  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I don't think this should be cause for concern, these bulbs are very bright but not bright enough to effect other drivers behind you I would say!

    • @chile2610
      @chile2610 3 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      This actually would not be a bad thing….. the purpose of the brake light is to make aware to the driver behind you that your stopping…. Imagine this in a heavily dense fog or heavy downpour on a highway…. I want them to see me stopping or slowing down… 👍🏼

    • @feliiiik
      @feliiiik 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@chile2610 The reason why I ask is I have some lasfit leds for my rear turn signals. In my opinion, they are too bright cause when I stand behind my car (at night) with the emergency lights on, they cause a blinding effect if you stare at them for too long. (Imagine staring at the sun for 5 seconds and then driving) Thats pretty much what I image the driver behind me feels like. You dont even have to stare at them to be blinded cause they produce so much glare.
      Also, the newer Audi LED tailights are super bright but not blinding.
      A super bright led bulb may not always be better since it doesnt diffuse the light like a LED tube does.
      I dont know... In my opinion, it is dangerous. Its common wisdom to not stick leds into your front headlights since it will blind drivers, I feel like the same logic should be applied to rear leds.
      Again, I can only speak for my lasfit led rear turn signals which are too bright.
      I have no idea about these GTR lights and it would also depend in your tailing housing. Too many factors so I suggest if you do install any LEDS to stand behind your car at night to see if they blind you.

    • @CT_Taylor
      @CT_Taylor 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@feliiiik You could put a tint on your tail lamp or just your turn signal that is a little more to the aggressive side if desired, or just a litttle bit to cut down the intensity

    • @johnnyjimj
      @johnnyjimj 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Very pertinent question. I was in traffic a couple of weeks ago behind an obsessive driver constantly accelerating and slowing instead of going with the flow and it was extremely annoying. Under normal driving it's not annoying. The biggest advantage for an LED stop light is the instant turn on.
      That being said, I'd love to see dual intensity lights for day and night use - it would avoid glare. The biggest culprits with excessively bright lights in my experience are emergency vehicles - at night their lights are so bright they can be a safety issue for other divers.

  • @toyotabrony
    @toyotabrony ปีที่แล้ว

    I know the lasfit led turn signals bulbs are more affordable and remains good quality bulbs with a built in canbus or anti flash.
    But honestly, these GTR lighting sets are the best lookin items, that are very high quality, such a beautiful look.
    Makes ur vehicle look more premium. For my vehicle, the 2015 lifted Scion xB. I’ll definitely would love to have four sets. Both front and rear turn signals, rear brake lights, and reverse lights. So that’s what around $520 bucks.
    They are worth it. Yes that’s damn insane but the quality and style, and function, it’s the best of all worlds to have this for the price.
