I was looking to purchase the UPS POWER BI-LED + Laser projector but no longer see it for sale on your website and FB page which is a broken link. I emailed you a couple days ago how to obtain it as well if you are able to custom retrofitted for me but never got a reply.
This video is a few years old, but we do believe it was the standard 35W that was used. Not every application can use the 50W since it essentially overpowers the bulbs to create more light... which also generates more heat. Not ideal for small applications.
They will both have a fan that you will have to install inside the headlight housing, this will be totally fine as they are designed to funciton inside those headlight housings! You will have nothing to worry about as far as heat goes, that is why they have those fans! Let us know if you need anything else or have any other questions, have a great day!
MORIMOTO MLED 2.0 ( LOW BEAM 1850 MAX LUX ) are you sure about this numbers ! because I have HID Projector (HELLA 5 F1 ) with 55w Ballast and Osram CBB I got 1200 LUX.
It totally can, with any retrofit, if there is a will there is a way! Retrofits are a custom install, so they can be made to work with almost anything provided the actual headlight itself is big enough!
Great video! I have a question, can you add some photos/video from above demonstrating the how far down the road the light actually gets? I would like to upgrade to LED's and get more light. My concern is losing visible distance.
Although the bulb doesn't determine the wattage, the ballast does, the bulb and ballast that was used in that video would have been a 35W setup, as the 50W ballasts void the warranty on the projectors. Do all of these require you to take your housings apart and glue them back together?
Depends on the headlight, but as a general rule of thumb, yes.
Hello! What do you suggest for old model car such as Toyota camry 2004 which is best HID projector or BI LED projector?
I would say an HID set up would be much easier to make it all work!
Would the MLED 2.0 fit a first gen tundra headlight?
Yepp, should be plenty of room for the MLED!
How difficult it be to replace a projector housing for a bi led housing in a aftermarket head light? I have a 2008 silverado. I think it has recon projector head lights.
All depends on how it's mounted, it could be a direct swap, or it could be a ton of custom work!
WAIT!!! FX-R ain't the top of the line anymore?....I did a retro back in 13' with a set of those...thoses are like my holy grail
Unfortunately not, better projectors have came about since then. Maybe time for an upgrade? 😉

I was looking to purchase the UPS POWER BI-LED + Laser projector but no longer see it for sale on your website and FB page which is a broken link. I emailed you a couple days ago how to obtain it as well if you are able to custom retrofitted for me but never got a reply.
We no longer carry that projector, and unfortunately we don't do retrofits at our location. Only offer the retrofit parts!
@RetrofitSource Awww...OK. Thank-you so much for the very quick reply and update.🙏👍

Was this done with 35watt or 55watt?
This video is a few years old, but we do believe it was the standard 35W that was used. Not every application can use the 50W since it essentially overpowers the bulbs to create more light... which also generates more heat. Not ideal for small applications.
Ram Ram brother, biggest day for India. eagerly waiting for your videos. Thanks
Glad you liked the video! Thanks for watching!
Does the MLED 2.0 come with LEDs or would those be a separate purchase?
The M-LED 2.0 is a fully integrated LED projector, those LEDs are built right in! Let us know if you have any other questions, we are here to help!
Does the profile bi led or the morimoto 2.0 bi led fan have to be enclosed in the light housing or can the be left out behind the headlights?
They will both have a fan that you will have to install inside the headlight housing, this will be totally fine as they are designed to funciton inside those headlight housings! You will have nothing to worry about as far as heat goes, that is why they have those fans! Let us know if you need anything else or have any other questions, have a great day!
MORIMOTO MLED 2.0 ( LOW BEAM 1850 MAX LUX ) are you sure about this numbers ! because I have HID Projector (HELLA 5 F1 ) with 55w Ballast and Osram CBB I got 1200 LUX.
You got it, this is the number that we got testing in house! They are insane!🤯🔥
Can the MLED 2.0 replace the 2013 Hyundai Sonata factor projector?
It totally can, with any retrofit, if there is a will there is a way! Retrofits are a custom install, so they can be made to work with almost anything provided the actual headlight itself is big enough!
can you recommend a h4 projector for budget price
None of the projectors we offer are H4, sorry!
We do have plenty of HID projector options though!
Great video! I have a question, can you add some photos/video from above demonstrating the how far down the road the light actually gets? I would like to upgrade to LED's and get more light. My concern is losing visible distance.
Check out the group Headlight Junkies on Facebook, this is a great place to check output shots that other users have posted!
Any of these work if I want to retrofit my 2017 Ducati Panigale 959?
Yes, they will!
bulb used in morimoto d2s 5.0 is 35 or 55w?
Although the bulb doesn't determine the wattage, the ballast does, the bulb and ballast that was used in that video would have been a 35W setup, as the 50W ballasts void the warranty on the projectors. If you have any other questions, shoot us an email and we will be happy to help! Support@TheRetroitSource.com
I have a H7 LED to put in a projector, does it have to be in the 3 & 9 o'clock position even in a projector housing??
Yes it does.
Would it be possible to change my OEM D1S projector for a set of these Morimoto D2S 5.0 projectors? The 45 degree slope that it outputs looks way better than the almost 90 degree slope of my OEM D1S projectors.
...would there be any bulb errors if I were to use a D2S bulb vs the original OEM D1S bulb? What's the input voltage for a D2S vs a D1S bulb?
It would take some work but it can be done!
When will the RHD version for the Mini H1 8.0 be available please ?

TheRetrofitSource Inc ... you’re kidding right 😟 ... I was looking forward to the RHD version

It looks like your bench setup is cutting off the foreground because you place the light too far back from the edge of the bench. You can see a lot of light hitting the bench top which prevents me from seeing what the foreground would really look like on a vehicle. The foreground is important, especially on a motorcycle - in the future could you reposition the lights to the very edge of the bench?
Thank you for your input!
Is it posible to put the morimoto 2stroke 2.0 h1led into the morimoto h1 mini 8.0 projector? I need a 2.5" bi led projector for my 67 beetle i cant use hid due to the heat... keep me up!

How's compatibility of MLED with H1?
I'm not sure what you mean by this.
Hi guys :) With the UPS Power + Laser, since it doesn't have a threaded shaft, are there any bolt-and-nut kind of kit to install it, or is it a complete 'you figure it out' kinda thing? Its for the main large reflector of an 06 CRV build, so space isn't an issue. Assume that $ is not an issue either. Thanks
It is very much a DIY install, no vehicle specific kits that we've seen for them yet!
@@RetrofitSource Hi again :)
Aside from a full complete kit, are there individual parts that can be used? Or is it like a 'fabricating metal parts' thing? I AM going to get them in the car, just doing my homework, if you know what i mean. :)
Which is brighter and far reaching?MLED or HID?
The HIDs will reach a little further, but the LEDs will have wider and better distributed spread of light! Let us know if you have any other questions, we are here to help!

I am sorry to say that we do not have that in stock, and I am not susre when we will be getting those in stock. Sorry about that!

Tons of room in those headlights! I would recommend the D2S 5.0!

Fairly simple, will need to be recessed some or have a larger shroud to cover up the internal bits of the projector.
@@RetrofitSource when does your black friday sale begin this year?

Hello! I can install projectors type MLed in BMW E 46 without showing light code, or what recommendation can they make, which is the appropriate size and type . Thak you.
It's a BMW. Almost anything you do to that car (I had an E38 and now I have an F01) needs to be coded. I'm upgrading my headlights in my F01 to a G5-BRT and I'll lose AFS...so it's going to have to be coded.

So I have the mini h1 7.0 and I never did like the steep cut off so would the new 8.0 cut off shield work in my 7.0 and do you guys sell it separately?
While it would probably work, it is not sold separately. I just upgraded to the 8.0 from the 7.0.
@@LamborghiniReven1000 is the 8.0 a big enough difference to justify replacing the 7.0? Is it brighter or bigger/better hotspot? does "retro fit" mean installing something that gets rid of that black line crap that I have on my 2016 Toyota Camry?
Retrofit, by definition, means adding a component or accessory to something that did not have it when manufactured. In this case, it's retrofitting bi-LED or bi-xenon projectors for a much better experience when driving at night!
they need to make a Mini D2S 5.0 that bolts up to Hella E55 housing to replace the EvoX-R
Hopefully we will be able to do something like that down the road, we will keep you posted! Have a nice day!
Man... I'd love the Morimoto MLED 2.0 in my headlight but I have a 2019 Toyota 4Runner. Darn side projectors...
I'm shamefully running factory projectors with HID's as the original halogen bulbs are dimmer than a candle.
PLEASE HELP ME lol
Hey there, not sure if I have heard of any issues with running projector retrofits in that side projector, but you should be good to go! If you are worried about fitting those in your headlight housing, you could go with the Mini H1 8.0, as that will be a fair amount smaller.
Lexus rx350 projectors with a clear lens will fit with some mods to clear the solenoid and bolt right in. With your choice of d2s bulb to go with.
Looking at retrofitting a 2009 G6 with a quad-projector for an off-road project of mine. Space is tight as I might have to cut the back of the frame. Anyone have experience with this?
Not sure exactly what vehicle that is, could you get me the year make and model for that?
So been waiting for RHD M LED 2.0 for Australia to put in my 07 GU patrol but my only concern is replacing the LED as this car had been all over Australia on ruff dirt tracks and blows a light every time on a 5000-10000km trip as I always have the lights on especially towing. I put LED H4 in it and still blows a led on I trip, and to replace a M LED isn't something that you can do on the road, but I'd so like the works, demon eyes, Halo's, switch backs, the etched Lens that said Nissan and instead of the M on the ground I want it to say patrol, oh the sky's the limit. How much can the M LED take in ruff dirt roads?
