- Welcome back to another small boat Great Lakes salmon video! I head out with my buddies Alex and Tristan on a beautiful, flat calm August morning in search of King Salmon out of Milwaukee, WI. The fun of hitting fish early at a certain depth on certain spoon patterns, and. MATCH that with 4 downriggers and a couple dipsys & all rods are going off, you can limit in a hurry. Great fishing off South Haven!

Turn your Sam’s pro release to open up to the front of your board. Works almost every time

I had a net like that, and we had to use it once because we lost my big one. The handle bent and broke. I was sad.
Is that a temp probe your running? How does that work for you?
You need to turn your Sam’s releases around. Plus, run them with the included rings and put slack in between them and or16 and they will track better. Enjoyed the vid.
I already have! Certainly made a difference. Also had them too tight - working perfectly now!

That fish at 3:30 is a coho btw..... size of the fish doesnt determine the species. Mouth has white in the gums, entire tail isnt spotted, and wrong coloration below the dorsal fin
Fish had a mostly black mouth, although the roof of the mouth was about half white. Obviously size doesn't determine species.it was kind of a goofy looking coho
@@MadisonAngling there are some tank coho out there. You are convinced you're reeling in a king until you get the thing in the boat. Nothing tastes better than a ho, I'm always happier to get a 10lb ho than a small king. Great fish

Instead of using such long leads maybe switch to a mag slide diver
That's the plan going forward! Picked up a couple of wire diver setups for deep diver lines and will be swapping my braid diver rods over to slide divers.
