Thank you! I like how they changed the jumping animation. In mirage he jumpes like an assassin, while origins up to valhalla the jumping animations is like a ``mario`` type

It's an improvement on the same system, so it's more than a "Copy and Paste" that some people have forgotten that the older games also did as well (With improvements and adjustments in each game) in order to have something to throw at this game. There's more fluidity and more variety in new animations with the older ones from Valhalla all the way to Origins.

@@steventhekid2150a lot more time? I would agree if they had years to master the game, and they weren't a very experienced studio. Thank you. People are getting delusional trying to convince themselves that they improved something. It's literally the same, just a re-skinned Valhalla. Ubisoft is disgusting for putting out this manipulative nostalgic marketing just to make easy money.
Most of the hype for Mirage was caused by Unity fanboys who don’t know anything about AC and low and behold Ubisoft dishes out Mirage in an attempt to satisfy those guys who wanted to “go back to the roots” but clearly failed and went a step backwards with a downgraded version of Valhalla. Valhalla is actually a better game than Mirage and instead of building on that and adding new features (I don’t have a problem with the RPG system, it actually works) Ubisoft went a step back.

I love Valhalla it’s a great game and I’m playing it alot lately but I noticed in Mirage that not only did they just copy and paste the parkour but the combat is clearly a downgrade from Valhalla too and the world looks smaller as well so yeah clearly disappointing. Having said that I think the story will make up for it in Mirage.
the point is it is smaller, many felt Valhalla was way too big and felt a massive amount of fatigue with the game after 25-50 hours of it. Personally, I don't think combat looks like much of a downgrade, I think it's just a separate take on it, AC's combat has vastly changed from the early days of counter combat, and this feels like it brings some of it back in a way that may require more skill, beyond that stealth is the focus of this game not being a Viking warrior but an Assassin, someone who logically would want to avoid open combat.
Smaller does not equal bad. Have you seen how small Paris was? That still is one of the best AC maps we had, so was Venice, Florence, Acre, Jerusalem and so on. Valhalla was more running and horse riding rather than anything, at least black flag had ship battles which made it fun, same cannot be said about Valhalla
Much as I love Valhalla, it was way too bloated. There were very few opportunities for parkour. Mirage seems to be the polar opposite, which to me is a nice thing. Also about Mirage's combat being a downgrade, it's supposed to be combined with tools and overall should be seen as your last resort if things go south. This game puts a lot more emphasis on stealth and quiet approach.
Ay Mirage is better than the last 3 games... it's just sad for console players because they ain't gonna be getting the mods we gonna get to make the game even better
It’s no secret, they’re using the same animations for every 3 games. AC 1, AC 3, Unity, and Origins are the “transitional” games for the parkour.
