Damn no episode 5 talk kinda disappointed after last UU video you mentioned being on the verge of getting hooked. The union members reveal, the plot twist for the union's end goal, apocalypse, quests/rewards/penalties. Regardless, great to see UU being talked about yet again.
I absolutely love Andy’s character,dude saw this poor girl that just wanted to get married and he didn’t even think twice about it,actually he did think twice,he asked permission from Fuuko first. What a gentleman,he might be a bit crazy but he’s a really compassionate dude. Also the poor zombie girl…wasn’t expecting to get this invested in her with so little time,but man,the moment she hugged Fuuko my heart broke…RIP badass zombie teacher,she went out with a bang after finally realizing her dream

As far as Fuuko not using her unluck on spoil when he brings his face right up to her, their are three likely reason why she didn't try to use it. First is fear, she has spent most of her life a shut in and is now thrust into fighting titan sized monsters, its not surprising for her to be paralyzed with fear. Second, for all she knew, touching Spoil directly could cause her to instantly spoil and die before her unluck could effect him. Third, given that the unluck is stronger the more she likes a person, their is no guarantee that her unluck would work on Spoil. For all she knew, if positive emotions negate positive luck, then it might be possible that negative emotions (such as hating a mass murder) would negate negative luck. That is also assuming it would even work on Spoil considering she has only ever attempted to use it on humans.
As the very rule of Spoil the dude actually has a three layer defense system. Four layers probably. First layer and second layer you've already seen. The area around the town triggers the countdown. The second layer is what got Andy and Clothy. It hasn't been confirmed in the manga. But I bet the closer you get to Spoil the faster you rot. Directly touching him results in straight up evaporation. But. He is still bound by the mechanics of his powers. Meaning if something physically can't decay it won't work. So things like fire, magma, electricity, won't be affected by spoil. It's basically pokemon logic with these Umas when it comes to fighting each other. And that to me is hilarious. And the fact that all the Uma cores are balls is even funnier.🤣🤣🤣🤣
Episode 4 sold me on Andy as character, the Spoil content sold me on Fuko. These are definitely some of the more unique battle shonen protags I've seen in awhile.
I didn't think you covered this one anymore on TH-cam. It's adorable for how bloody it is. Was really hoping to get the conclusion this episode but it's fine. Hope all the townspeople turn back to normal after Spoil is taken down. And "Andy" is a really nice guy when it comes down to it.
According to my math. We're going to get two chapters per episode. But seeing as tho UnChange took three chapters. We could get all the way to chapter 52 and higher which is the Autumn Arc. And that's the entire 24 episodes this series is running for. So yay. Everyone gets to meet Uma Autumn!

Can we pause and talk about the heavy hitting cast we got with this series? Like damn. I was wondering why i couldnt find the Uma VAs list. DP must be holding their info until they come out. Bc imagine my surprise when i found out that Uma Spoil was being voiced by Ze Major from Hellsing!!! I loved his performance. And its not just him. We got gojo as Andy. TWO GINTAMA VAS!!! Gintoki and Kagura!!! And Tanjiro?! TANJIRO KAMADO AS SHEN?! ARE YOU F**KING KIDDING ME?! I swear to god if I hear Zoros voice and Luffys VA in this series at any point i may actually get so excited i may crap my pants.
Sad to see the teacher go and disintegrate. The show may have OP characters and an immortal character but there’s lots of death to go around that doesn’t feel cheap. Always serves a purpose however much it hurts. Just recently caught up to the series. Episode 8 should be exciting to talk about since it’s out and I have watched it at the time of me making this comment

God I hope so. I wanna see this anime make it to chapter 135 in the manga. But so far everyone seems to be loving it. But it's concerning bc usually I can tell how an anime is doing by how many episode clips I find. And I only found 3..... Meanwhile Mashle is doing fantastic. But... Undead and Mashle were supposed to dominate this season and yet it feels like UU is being left behind.
Although I like this show I have some problems with it. (1) I don't like the conept of luck (Good or Bad) being a super power since it's an ability that just makes random things happen which characters can't be predict. I think the unluck ability would work better is if there was an invisible creature causing all the bad luck. PS: I think an unluck ability would be better in a gag series where reality doesn't always have to make sense. (2) It sometimes hard for this show to keep my attention since the plot has taken a while to set up what will be the status quo. (3) The whole un title thing for everyone's power's names I think should not be done. I think it would be better to just have that be a trait that links the main characters together. I just it unrealistic that everyone follows this pattern without a proper explanation. (4) As a side note I really didn't like that scene in episode 5 where Andy got his clothes. It's one of those forced scenes where a writer wants to give a character a new ability or item but doesn't want to write a engaging story about how they just hand it to them.
Bro, all the things that you mentioned are what make this show really good and unique. The unpredictability of Fuko's power, the world-building, and the unique power system with a fun naming system are the strengths of the show. Maybe this show is not your type. This is a shame cause this series gets 10x or maybe even more times better as it goes on.

Number one. It's understandable that you feel that way. But trust me and other readers when we say, Fuuko does a lot more with this power than most others do. Also. What you described with the monster is no different than a JoJo stand. 2: very very understandable. No comment on that. Things don't get interesting in the manga until chapter ten. 3: the Un- Prefix is very intentional bc the prefix Un- also means nullify, take away, etc. also my own head cannon is that it's short for Universal Negation. So Fuukos full title as a Negator is "Universal Negator of Luck" 4: bud. You're gonna see a lot more crazy shit than Clothy. Umas and what they are cover a very BROAD subject. Every single concept you can name has an Uma for it. Whether they're shown or not something like Uma Ocean or Uma Thunder, definitely exist in UU. Clothy isnt a plot device. He's part of the power system. This is my own. Perception Expansion is a huge part of being a Negator. You don't exactly train these abilities you apply them to different scenarios. Negator powers can go from a 1 on a power scale straight to 100 in a matter of seconds regardless of what it is. What we call plot armor. It's called Perception Expansion in Undead Unluck.

Luck as a super power has the issue of characters don't always need to think things throught because luck will just make it that something random happens that will save them. It also can sometimes get in the way of tension since it feels like anything could happen instead of the audience being able to predict what will happen. (2) As I keep watching the show, this eventually won't be a problem, it's just how I feel now. (3) Fair point. (4) I would just make them old friends that Andy caught up in episode 2 when he and Fuuko went to Andy's hide out or have them bump into each other on one of Andy's missions.
1) the thing is these are not superpowers, they are curses, it just so happens that if a negator is creative enough they can use their curse in their favor, there are some UN- that are at the time or their introduction completely useless at first,(they probably will not be introduced in this season though) also Fuuko's power scale to how much she likes her target so it's kind of useless in fight, the only reason it works early on is because of Andy, also it's not completely random, the bad luck strucks are limited to what is near the target, a whale is not going to materialize over Andy if they are in the desert. 2) clothy actualy gets some character development later in the story@@lesterwilliamsjr649

It’s a slow burner but in an episode or two is when it gets interesting and then subsequently immediately in the next arc it really ramps up
Yeah yeah there is some potential.
I could hear some "Fireforce" sound effects in the background.
The chapter where the teacher hugged fuuko solidified this as one of my favorite anime/manga of all time.
