I definitlely like the light effects. Just noticeable and not in your face. Reminds me of some of the light effects I would get with my Panon Widelux F8... which were often too intense for my liking.

While this is an interesting idea, and I’ve done it in the past; the XPan does not actually shoot anamorphic. There are no oval bokeh or anamorphic flare. None of the characteristics associated with anamorphic other than the wider fov.
Well if you shoot on daylight the flares don't really show up and on the 35mm there isn't much bokeh even when shot wide open. For the oval bokeh you need a longer lens and a higher squeeze factor to be noticeable.

What's interesting is how the lens is losing sharpness closer to edges so it has more character then just cropping perfectly sharp photo
