I don’t think it’s fact but it is valid opinions based on a multitude of investigations. I know the entertainment industry very well being that music business has been my job for about 13 years now.
I’ll just say it’s corrupt af and what happens within bands/artist compared to what people hear through media and now social media is so insane it’s almost laughable.
My personal thoughts about this case based on what I’ve “Lived through”, is that if you look at who made profit, you’ll find your guilty parties because there are just no coincidences. If you look at what was happening legally you’ll see motives.
And I’m not just talking about Courtney Love. Billy Corgan was very smart to let CL go because she is definitely “Where boys fear to tread”.

@@starwinksbackfromtheskypit6790 There's a difference between fact and opinion, and many people confuse the two too often. I will say that I agree with the entertainment industry being corrupt - no one truly knows what happens when the cameras are turned off. Either way, seeing people treat their opinions as if it MUST be true then disagreeing with anything that does not fit their narrative of the story is irritating, and I see that happen too often when it comes to the topic of Courtney Love. I came to this video looking for opinions on the album Live Through This, not whether or not Courtney is a serial killer. I guess the fault's on me for expecting anything civil.

Kurt was also leaving Courtney and Nirvana. He and Kristen had becoming close friends. After CL found out she was livid at both of them. Kurt had enough morphine and valium in him to kill a junkie 3 times. He would've been unconscious in seconds from the injection. Handwriting experts say his note was written by multiple people. She's trying to play celebrity skin... about 3 basic chords and it sounds like when a 5 year old picks up a guitar and whacks the strings pretending to play. CRINGE. That's why her guitar is always muted and she just wears it. Yeah... I'm sure he learned a lot from her! To be fair back in 94 she could play way better. Still badly but she could actually play a song. Still the only thing he could learn from her is manipulation, sociopathy and lying.

Kurt helped with the music, not the lyrics. Courtney had no musical structure compared to both Kurt and Kirsten or even Eric. She'd only been playing/learning the guitar since the early-mid 80s, and stated later Kurt was the best teacher she could've had.
"Celebrity Skin" had a lot of help from Billy Corgan, Courtney claimed he only wrote the riff for the song "Celebrity Skin", but as time has passed turns out Billy was actually correct.
Honestly chances are Kurt helped a lot with "Live Through This" too..Not just vocals. There is a story about Courtney asking for riff to "Heart Shaped Box" and Kurt told her to fuck off. Courtney's solo albums even needed help composing music. Courtney is poet/lyricist but not a musician.

Kurt's role was indirect, in that he was spending hours on the phone with the very talented Kristen Pfaff, and surely they spent some of that time with the phones on speaker, working on music together. If anything that they worked on together made it onto the album, there's his contribution (plus a couple of backing vocals).

@Billy Blade Why are you getting offend because I said that Courtney's has needed help with piecing her lyrics/poems to music? There is nothing wrong with it. Courtney is a performer, not a musician, and that is apparent. I never once said "Live Through This" was shit (nor "Celebrity Skin", etc). I like Courtney..she's hilarious and very talent at acting, but she is not a natural musician.

Liar, liar, pants on fire Courtney! It wasn’t a rumour at all! She claims she would have been ‘proud as hell’ if Kurt had written the album for her. Not a hope! She would have been slated by the critics for having her talented husband write that album. She hasn’t had a “hit” since except for the radio friendly Celebrity Skin song which was written by Corgan. There’s no way just herself and Captain Creep wrote Live Through This.
Did Kurt Cobain write all of the songs on Hole's 'Live Through This' album?
Ian James, Rock Musician at Geffen Records (1991-present)
Yes, Kurt wrote the vast majority of the music and probably some lyrics (although Courtney’s a decent lyricist). How do I know? I’m friends with many of those who were around Kurt and Courtney at the time (their band mates, managers, friends, etc. - my band was on the same label as Nirvana and Hole at that time and were part of that whole social circle). I’d also met them myself, Kurt a few times and Courtney once (which was more than enough for me). At that time it was considered uncool to “out” Kurt’s writing of the album, so no one in the know would admit it publicly in order to protect both of their integrity.
Also just listen to the music - it’s totally Kurt, which is especially evident when you compare it to Hole’s first album (recorded before he met Courtney) which is pretty weak musically and a different style of song writing.
I’ve often wondered did Kurt threaten to “out” his immense input on that album if she played nasty in their divorce?? Did he mention that in the Rome letter that Cameron told her to get rid of because it wouldn’t do her any good??

There are countless things one can say about CL, most of them bad, but this particular criticism isn't fair. Hole played some of the songs live before CL met Kurt, or at least before she had much of a relationship with him. The production crew have all said that they witnessed the other songs being written amidst the recording process. With that said, Kurt may have had an indirect role. He and Kristen would spend hours on the phone at this time, and I'd be surprised if they didn't work on music for some of that time, strumming instruments with the phones on speaker mode. Maybe they did some of that in person before Hole went to Atlanta to record, but I don't know. A lot of the music and arrangement on Live Through This is thanks to Kristen and her classical training, and it's likely that some of her input was developed by working with Kurt.
Kristen's influence was just one of the triggers for Courtney's hostility and bullying- "You fuck my guitar player, you constantly make eyes at my husband and now you're trying to tell me how to sing. Just don't fuck with me or you'll regret it forever."

OK, so I was working at a large record distributor in Canada when this all went down, and I actually talked to Warner (dist for Geffen) sales rep's about the HORRIBLE optics of releasing the Hole record a week after KC died. In the business at the time, we were sensitive to appearing to be cashing in on an artists death. The greedy rush to release sub-par material when Elvis died was something everyone had been keen to avoid since then, since the public saw it as so exploitive. So when Courtney and the label decided to do this, the sales reps were fucking embarrassed. It was obvious they were cashing in on the death of KC, who was rumoured to have ghost written much of the record. Anyway, it was awful and it was the first indication I had that CL was a psychopath. Soon after I was on the phone with Tom Grant, who had released his info on the "new" internet. Since then, I've never stopped studying the case.

By '94, if he hadn't made much progress in leaving her after Rome, it's likely because he was brain damaged by the roofies she gave him that night. Anyway, this CL as the victim BS isn't going to fly with anyone truly familiar with their story. I think it’s so funny that she’s so adamant about Kurt not having anything to do with live through this. You can actually look up videos of her pestering Kurt to write riffs and lyrics for her, screaming at him. She did it all the time when he was alive. She annoyed the hell out of him. A lot of times he would go hiding from her because she was so nutty. Please go look up police reports because you will see this is the truth. I think it’s funny that this is hole’s most sought out album. I think it’s funny that she hasn’t really had an album like this since his death. Dear God.
Cobain was married to and was not even separated from Courtney Love at the time of his death, he was trying to seduce her a month before his suicide and his last known words to her were glowing ("I have a goddess of a wife who sweats ambition and empathy"). Pfaff willingly left Hole and Pfaff was attempting to get in a relationship with Lanegan who she was flirting with at Cobain's funeral. Pfaff is just a replacement conspiracy theory for the Zapata theory that was proven utterly wrong.
He wasn't in the process of divorcing her at all. Cobain's lawyer's name was Allen Draher and he has not spoken and has no record of any divorce claim being made by either Love or Cobain. Tom Grant making things up as usual. If he were in the process of divorcing her, there would be documented evidence of this but as usual, murder theorists can't come up with a single document to back up their assertions - the standard "if I shout it loud enough and for long enough, it automatically comes true" theory.
She wasn't going to lose everything. That's why she was the last one to threaten divorce (which both did, neither followed through). Cobain was paying out and he was paying through the nose if wound up divorced.
Nobody was called out of nowhere. The house needed a lot of work done on it and Cobain and Love agreed to have it done when they were meant to be away for the entirety of April - her promoting LTT, him at rehab for the month. There were workmen there all week installing security, not just on the 8th.
You don't seem to know what you are talking about.

Now, I totally understand that rumor though (true or not), the first album was meh at best, then she marries Kurt (the song writing genius) and her next album is great, then her third album she had a bunch of help from Billy Corgan. So for her two biggest albums she’s attached to strong songwriters and none of her other stuff is really anything great. It’s easy to understand why people thought Kurt was involved, just the evidence suggest it (even if it’s totally untrue). You are aware that Wrench is a troll who just winds up Nirvana fans and all Hoke's cronies have admitted the entire thing was a scam and was one of many outlandish claims they were making at the time to sell to the media. They were friends with a guy who worked on the Jerry Springer show and could easily get it out there. Hoke had been hawking this scam for two years before he died. You will also be aware that Hoke's death had several witnesses (including Al Jourgensen from Ministry) who all confirmed that Hoke's death was an accident when he was drunk and dicking about to impress fans. You will also be aware that Hoke never passed "3 polygraphs" (which are junk science anyway) and passed one so-called "polygraph" conducted by a quack with a fake doctorate he'd bought on the black market, in a crowded bar where the witness was so drunk he passed out and Hoke was absolutely hammered too and only agreed to it for beer money. When SPD offered Hoke a test, he refused to take it and cut all contact.
There are dozens and dozens of people who literally witnessed Hole work on Live Through This together without Cobain's input. Love wrote around half the songs before she even met Cobain and Cobain had severe writers block at the time and could barely write enough to force In Utero out and was completely devoid of ideas at that stage. "Jennifer's Body" is about how Courtney was a Christian at this time. Both "Beautiful Son" and "Asking for It" are about how Kurt was gay and how disgusted she was about it. Kurt killed himself over the shame, but she's saying "live thru this with me, l swear that l will die for you.." She's saying that as a Christian she'll give her life to him and God.
Apparently she's a buddhist now and l can only speculate that she lost her faith in God when Kurt killed himself.
Nirvana were a very good pop band, but Hole are on a completely different level. Eric is an incredible guitarist and Courtney is without any question the greatest lyricist of the pop/rock era. To think that Kurt had anything to do with writing any Hole records is laughable.
