    I made these today.....thank you Anna. So easy to make, and they turned out absolutely amazing, warm and wonderful - and so impressed the mother-in-law. My husband looked at me like I was the goddess of the kitchen....so guess who'll be making them again...and again...and again.

    Just wanted to say Anna this recipe is perfect! I am a single dad and I make these rolls all the time for me and my daughter. They always turn out perfect! Crispy on the outside and so soft inside. I was wondering if you ever read comments? They always go stale really fast on me what’s the best way to store them so they taste fresh for a few days?

      You could put it In a ziplock baggie and when u warm it up put a damp paper towel on it

      ORANGE DURAMAX I would freeze them. They would thaw out quickly enough, and then just put them in foil and warm them up in the oven.

      I freeze mine so I haven’t noticed them going stale. Just take them out as you need them

    One of my favorite...I usually make rolls for T-day but not this recipe...I will experiment and try this. I love ur expertise N make these videos user-friendly. I also appreciate u explaining the difference in flours...I did not know so many uses to different flours. Oh have u heard what’s hot? Vanilla Paste...I have some and it is decadent and u see all those small vanilla bean seeds. I use it in my Creme Brûlée’s....have a gr8 holiday Anna. And again, thank u 😊...

    I first saw this recipe on good eats but I think her way is much more precise. I just use a packet of yeast myself

    just made these by hand and smaller size twists (apprix 40) the family loves them and with local Niagara Jelly made them even better. 🇨🇦

    This recipe is AWESOME and not too hard to make HOWEVER, the thumbnail is the way I remember what a Parker House Roll was when I was a boy and I would like to know the technique on how to make the folded version!! Great recipe though!

    Pretty good. But exact temp of yeast liquid? And how long to knead. I think these are the two keys to the success. Thanks

      1) 36.6° (body temp)
      2) knead for 8-10 minutes, you will know when to stop

    Hi Anna. Rules of baking have some ratios of flour to water etc. This recipe uses more water than the 60% rule. Are rules meant to be broken? Are there any thumb rules you would suggest for baking ?

    Anna, Can you show how to do the fold over Parker House rolls like your photo shows? I am having trouble getting them to stay folded over. I have to make 400 for a family reunion.

    I always seem to have trouble getting my dough to come together. I measured this recipe, even checked the temperature of my water and milk. The dough never stuck to the dough hook and pulled away from the bowl. So, I added a bit more flour. I left it in my mixer for probably 10 minutes or longer... I finally just put it in a bowl to rise. Fingers crossed.

    What is the best way to double this recipe? 18 rolls will be gone in 30 seconds at my family Christmas! I know with yeast recipes it isn't as simple as doubling the yeast. Much appreciated!!

    The classic parker roll was done exactly the way u did it....
    After baking there was no golden color even after an egg yolk wash....
    Can u suggest ? Any tips ?

      Hmm. Did the rolls bake up in the right amount of time? If they took longer maybe your oven is not at the correct temperature.

    Glaring error!
    With 3 and 1/4 cups of flour the hydration is about 87%. Far too high and awkward to work with.
    With 4 and 1/4 cups of flour the hydation is about 66%, just right.
    Weigh in grams always.
