It's been on the market 4 years, that should answer the question
Overpriced
Imaging paying £24 mil for a house and finding a drunk using your front door as a toilet...
Feels quite claustrophobic. The location is the only factor that would warrant a high price but even still it is WAY over priced. Imagine what you could get for that amount of money in a more rural area. Guess if you have £100's of millions to spare then yeah, go for it 🤷♂
The owner of this will have a spacious rural home too.
Nothing like a 24 million home with a £500 focus at the front. I don’t get why anyone would spend that much for something without a private driveway
Or front garden/land etc etc etc..
Its MOT run out july 2023 with 57K on the clock
500 is a lot for a Focus even with a driveway (LOL)
I think for the target market this is the perfect lock up and leave central London home that someone can use as an investment in prime central London. It looks and feels like a shiny corporate hotel. The lift looks like a commercial office lift and I think a more discreet offering would be preferable. It's a very functional house. There's no soul to this house. I think we are all moving into a new chapter where having a cinema room and and indoor pool would happily be traded for a private garden with a fire pit and a connection to nature. None the less I hope this house finds a happy new owner.
I will never understand the basement kitchen thing. Feels so claustrophobic. Generally the house gives me hotel vibes. Nothing you would actually feel at home.
This was designed like a newer Four Seasons hotel but as a compact high-security bunker. It feels very dark and the use of mirrored surfaces everywhere just gives me the impression that wasn't designed for someone to actually live in full-time, but own as an investment and visit for a few weekends per year.
This was on TV featuring Sotherby's... they obviously did not manage to sell this and now its with Beauchamp. In the meantime, price has dropped from 30m to 24m.
It was also on bbc2 Crazy Rich Agents and had an offer turned down at 23/24, so it's mildly amusing it's now dropped to that.
I wish I will be able to afford luxury like this someday 🙂
That’s a truly captivating story, what kind of investment does he offer and how can I benefit from him ?
@@MelenyVillarrealay just be safe mate thete are a lot of scams don't fall into one
You do realise this whole thread except you is an automated scam@@reefbreaker9350
I worked for the previous owners. The developers tore down the original house . If they had restored it . That house would have sold by now. This one is too over developed and too vulnerable from the street with no parking and no security. At that price point you want more outside space. It’s going to be a difficult one to sell.
Imagine not only knocking on doors to try and find who owns the peasant car, but actually admitting on video that you did it. I’m genuinely astounded.
Agreed… these people are so far up their own arses it is frightening.
The owner of the Ford Focus is Jacob Rothschild
Agree- I know it’s about luxury homes but they’re starting to make quite snobby comments
The car is parked LEGALLY, so why should the owner move it?
Poor move there Mat, wasn’t expecting a comment like that about someone’s car.
20 Mill for this? People who like boxes might pay tis, also its so claustrophobic.
I get it now. I’ve been constantly complaining how developers are taking these period London properties, at top notch addresses. Gutting them of any character, giving them all the same old, same old cold modern hotel like interiors with those “high-end” finishes…it’s just to flog them off as investment properties to foreigners with more money than taste. And be damned with the history, local colour and culture.
So that’s it…anytime another one of this type of property comes up here or elsewhere I’m not going to moan and groan anymore, because it’s pointless. London is being homogenized into oblivion. And nothing can be done to prevent it.
Did they reject the 26 mil offer from the Saudi family from TV show? Was on for 30
if they rejected a $26m offer for this heap of overpriced junk, they're idiots.
@@kaisa9688definitely they will regret Turning it down. 🇬🇧
This house has been on every luxury home show in the UK. Whilst it’s beautiful it’s obviously over priced otherwise someone would have bought it ages ago.
Ridiculous price. But that's London.
for that money i would want a one off ...........this is much the same as all multimillion houses - im rather bored of seeing dark marble and cold rooms
Me too!
Hello Hello. Summer and Matt, always a joy to see you both. 🎉🎉🎉
I love how Matt is looking in the kitchen cupboards for sensors...you have to scan the bar code on the item with the ipad before putting it away. I would offer a piece of advice as an Estate Manager.. I would say please don't touch everything in the house or turn taps on or get into bathtubs...the housekeepers have a tough enough time as it is keeping a place looking immaculate, plus you don't want to scuff up expensive wall paper or sheets etc and have to pay for it. Good job guys, I enjoy your videos. :-)
Imagine dropping the steel dumbbells on the glass gym floor 😅
There's hardly any daylight ......the size of the garden is half the size of my front garden. It doesn't look like a home
Well, not worth.
I don't know who like this type of design, but I would change it.
And watching the video I understood that 1/2 of price is just because of used materials, and those materials was used not for quality but just to say: hey, I'm rich!
So, no, it didn't worth so much, lol
Mayfair is an amazing and beautiful area of London...and with Hyde Park right there!
Dream goals. I hate to say it, but where I live, 24 million for this prestige location and square footage isn't outrageous. If it had a better garden area, this would be a home run. But I think it's a beautiful property.
This property has been doing the rounds for quite some time and still hasn’t sold. Yikes. It’s got new money naff about it. Ewwwww.
"Can you move your poor person car please, you're not Instagram-friendly enough".
Probably just as well you couldn't find the owner. You might have gotten what you would have deserved.
I replied to another similar comment so I’ll add the same response here for clarification -
This was intended as simply sarcasm 😁 it’s ironic because the house is £24m and the focus perhaps £240. The reality is the focus owner could well own a house on the street outright, the Lamborghini owner renting down the street maxed out trying to keep up with the Jones’. That’s what’s funny about it (to me) it’s a joke intended to highlight that our intro shot has the focus clearly in the background, it’s not stereotypically what you’d expect with multi million pound homes. I’m worried to think some people interpreted this as I would actually make him move 😂 perhaps I’m not as funny as I think. Probably true 😉
Home is just fantastic…. Showing us around the bedrooms I was waiting to hear the principle bedroom but no mention …. You could say they are all principle bedrooms BUT there is one somewhere ???
I dont think ive seen a house be simultaneously be so shiny and yet so dark. I would be constantly seeing fingerprints everywhere. Loved the light fixtures and the bedrooms and pool are nice, but the living spaces feel cold. Not a home at all.
But i suppose its a 'bargain' after being reduced by 20%.
Another house for overseas criminals to buy with cash, leave empty and borrow money against it (as it's classed as an asset) then reinvest the money in some other income generating investment. Hey presto, dodgy money laundered
Zelensky might buy it when he gets his$60 billion
This house is absolutely exquisite! The attention to detail is breath taking! However, for me personally, after being born & living in central London all of my young life, if I had this sort of money I would buy a large piece of land somewhere either on a beach or on a lake & build a stunning spacious secluded home that has a huge garden with a massive outside heated swimming pool and not one but two enormous garages! But one can dream, can’t one! 🥰🥰
Ah my uncle had this property short listed while looking for a place to buy in London... we didn't like how the gym and pool were on different floors...didn't make much sense and those glass floors were largely unnecessary as well.
I think it's such a shame that people take these kind of places and make them so modern and cold!
Selling this furnished? (Sorry if I missed this)… if not, the cost of the light fittings etc doesn’t matter!
The black lacquer, gold, and marble is like they were trying to bring back the 80s. There is a reason why everyone remodeled from that look a long time ago. Sorry, but whoever designed that needs to find another profession.
£26m.. No private driveway.. No gates.. No trees
I feel like I've seen this property on soo many tv shows and they still can't shift it! I think on one show they turned down a 26 mill bid😮
Nice job, both of you! I could see you two living in this home.
Im guessing the home would be a fit for people with security issues. It is very dark and there are few outward facing windows. It’s probably constructed that way for security reasons and for folks with massive security private staff
I can just imagine a barbell dropping on the glass floor in the gym..
The powder room is so... powdery! 🤩
E verything is sooo dark.
This house has been featured on a few platforms… and there is one thing that none of them ever show you. And the reason they never show you is because the minute you become aware of it you would never buy it. Regardless of your wealth.
This is property development lunacy… and a £6mil dip tells you everything.
Nonsense
Absolutely not haha, I’ve seen better places for like 1m
Cool house...brilliant review. You two are great.
If you want to live in Mayfair, nice location. I agree the biggest negative is no car accommodation. Maybeheritage rules wouldn't allow a facade modification to allow a garage? I think the interior is tacky. Too much marble and mirrors. The kitchen is very plain looking compared to the rest of the house.
Souless hotel. We know who the target market is, and they'll never live there. The only thing that has real character is the car parked outside it.
Good one on the thoughts session, more of it.
£24MIL. I NEEDED A GOOD LAUGH. THANKS.
It saddens me think that at one time all of these homes were filled with fine oil paintings and antiques!! Sadly modern design has taken over everything!!
Stunning🎉
On the money this for the targeted buyers looking for absolute luxury in London! Great tour. £24M? I wouldn’t if this was my budget but someone would.
Can you imagine digging a pool under the building? Think of the approvals and not mucking up the street and such. Expensive indeed.
For 24mil,I would expect at least a biometric door lock, not a bog standard key! Also, ceiling height is too low throughout the property.
It’s like living in a nice hotel. Not for me, but great job. I love to visit London. I would hate to live there.
Ford Focus....great car and future classic 👍
Looks like a place Patrick Bateman's British cousin would live in. Feels kinda creepy to me. Especially the Gym and Home Entertainment.
It’s not my style of design, I give this house ….awesome… house…. Thanks to cheer…. Keep up the good work…..
There is an extra 0 in the price.😱
I think that there was storage behind a narrow push mirror on the left of that sink.
How can any valuation be 20% out or is it opportunism.
why should anyone move there car for your video at least he owns his car and not credit or loaned bloody cheek
I was thinking the same .
I will never understand why owner let these two people do videos in their properties.
Very tacky.
Remember watch this house on tv .
Didn't like the owner.
Be interesting to see what this is sold for.....
£14M - £17M
Damn. From 30 millions to 24 mills? Kam Babaei must be really desperate.
I'm sure it's just my poor person mentality but I can't imagine having so much money I could think about spending 14 grand on a light fixture. That's ten times the cost of my TV, the most expensive thing in my house.
I know It's London and that's why its a fortune, but I just think what you could get with that sort of cash. Great big mansion in the country with electric gates, swooping tree lined drive up to the big house over looking huge gardens and lake. Spectacular scenery over the countryside with enough parking for a fleet of cars. And I bet you would still have a lot of change left from ya 24mil. I know which would look more impressive.
Loved Summers comment .... So at one point this is where horses and coaches were living and now its 24 million. To which Mat cuts her dead and moves on .... Now lets see what this garden as going for it .. Errmmm not a lot from what I can see of the ickel thing.
They wanted to ask someone who was lawfully parked outside to move their car because its presence didn't fit in with their video.
What cheeky buggers!
The Focus is probably there because the owner's garage is full of Pagani and Rolls alternatives.
Bet its lease hold
That's a beautiful house--especially the interiors. Is it worth 24M? Well, as the real estate buzzword goes, "location, location, location." (BTW, that's not snake skin in the spa room, that's crocodile.)
It just surprised me that one of my bosses spent £30M+ on some paintings in New York and he lives in a very ordinary house in London but is looking for a country house,he is not in love with London houses yet.
This is fanplastic, Sublime for all those who know the price of everything and the value of nothing.
Definitely my dream 💭 house 🏠
Ridiculous price.
I would get the bulbs in the outside lights changed!
Thought someone offered £26M for this house and it was turned down
Just bullshit.
No real offer .
I remember that program.
Bunch of losers .
Embarrassing to watch .
The only hope for some people on that program, wouid be only fan 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️
As ridiculous as this sounds, I’ve got young children and despite the proximity to Hyde Park, I simply couldn’t live in a street with such a poor broadband connection. 11mb? They’d have had similar connectivity back in the stable days! 😂
You lost me at the snobby comment about the Ford.
bring back vlogs!
the more I watch London housing videos , the more I think it is a joke 😒
for this amount of money , I don't have a private garage , basically no privacy (neighborhood are too close) , everyone can so easily access the streets... etc
just because of the post code and I have to pay for that price ???
this is ridiculous
I am not hater, but even I am rich as Elon Musk, I will never pay for this price just for the post code
3:19 £14,000 for a light fitting? Well, I guess you've got to spend your money on something.
there is no car garage?
Can anyone tell me the name of the house tour matt and summer did between 2 and 3 years ago. I believe it was around £2 million. It had a garage with a full glass door detached from the house. And the underground to the house had a massive bar area and a swimming pool. I can't find it anywhere. Please help
That's a very impressive cage
Very nice house
Nice house but it shows the ridiculous profit the developer is making when they can drop the price by £6 million. What’s it actually worth? Perhaps half what they are asking.
Can’t believe how rude you were about the gentlemans Ford Focus. I bet he’s got more spare change in that car than you two have put together. So arrogant.
I had to turn my phone’s brightness up whilst watching the video 😅
Which shows the lack of natural light. Feels like a condemn cell 😅
Don’t drop the dumbbell onto the pool window!
lol imagine asking someone to move their car for a vid 👎🏾
I love the house and the interiors
I am sure that there are stairs somewhere. It would be interesting to see how they hid them.
2:46
It’s not worth 24 let alone 30. I’d pay 10 for it max
That really was a luxury house with top quality finishings.
❤🤍💙 all your videos mate👍
LOVE❤❤
Who is the developer
immediately no. for that kind of money I don't want to live next to a park, idc that it has a "hyde" in front of it. It's giving high end access to the ghetto. This area is a tourist attraction and considerably populated the area is.
Que pasa a los ingleses con los espejos? Todas las casas que presentan están llenas de espejos, tener muchos no es bueno😖
It's too dark for my liking , I like lots of natural light.
a little equine décor would be right at home
It doesn’t matter how much marble or tech you put, it’s a luxury small box. The gym and the pool are a joke. And it is also very impersonal. Tons of mirrors to pretend it’s big. And marble, marble and more marble. A place to spend 3 or 4 nights and leave. But at that price it would be better a good suite at the Savoy. Great imagination to use the space, though. I think that with less purpose digged levels and more light and less marble and pretentions it would easier to sell. Anyway, this couple makes a great job to show the house, if they don’t sell it, no one can.
Nice
It is an amazing house, but you’re in the centre of London, you wouldn’t need a car, you walk, get you’re good delivered, wonderful xx
