Every run my goal was to hit at least 50 laps and my first 3 I was always around 53-55 laps. For my last one.. I wanted to be the first one at my school to hit 60 laps.. so that meant getting 6 laps every minute and I will tell you right now.. you need to be going all out every minute to hit 6 laps every single time. I ended up getting 62 on that last one and I about died after lol

This call at the finish here is reminiscent of Dan Hicks (with Rowdy Gaines) calling the 4 * 100 freestyle relay in 2008 Beijing when America ran down France to win gold at by a finger nail at THE WALL to keep Phelps' 8 gold medal hunt on track... If you haven't watched the end of that race, you must. The fact that I am able to use that comparison here shows how good this call was.... Another would be Phil Ligget calling Greg Lemond's 1989 TDF stage 21 time trial win to take the final yellow jersey in Paris on the Champs-Élysées. Thousands of kilometers raced around France and the entire tour was decided by JUST 8 seconds. It was bonkers!!! Thanks for adding yourself to that list (IMO).

Grant Fisher just narrowly missed the 5k American record of 12:53:60 by Bernard Lagat. However, Fisher obliterated Galen Rupp’s 13:01:26 American indoor record! Great race and exciting commentating! 👏👏👏

I think it was Talbi. Atkin did great to hang on for a huge PR after pacing.

Would have been a perfect race for Jakob Ingebrigtsen with how Grant slowly cranked last couple kms down. Someone needs to get that indoor 5k WR
