I love Forbidden so much, honestly my favorite book ever. It wrecked me but just like you said, the love between the characters was probably the purest kind I've ever read about. It's hard to find a romance book where the characters feel this deep, strong, moving, and unconditional love, and you, as a reader, can feel it too. And like you mentioned, it's not based on some plain physical attraction or lust but it's more like them being soulmates. They loved each other so much and when one was in pain, the other was suffering just as much. I feel like not many authors can portray it well. Not many authors can write like Tabitha. She absolutely nailed it. Whenever I browse through my books and I see Forbidden I just how to pick it up and hold the book to my chest, that's how much I love it. I'll probably reread the book sometime in the future although I know I'll be depressed again afterward. Gosh. I just fell in love with Lochan, I couldn't help myself. And my heart was shattered because of him. The fact that he was struggling with social anxiety was something I could really relate to. I highly recommend other books by Tabitha, she doesn't have a lot but I honestly really enjoy her writing and her depiction of mental illnesses. It's so real and raw. I love her bipolar disorder series with Flynn as the main character, I really enjoyed him as well. Her male protagonists are just so good, ah. I wish she had published more books.

How you describe reading forbidden is exactly how I felt! It is a beautiful book and so heartbreaking. I started tearing up again when you talked about lochan’s final chapter. I think how you talk about how didn’t have peace was totally why it got to me as well. It’s been like year since I’ve read it and still hearing you talk about it brings back how it destroyed me but in the best way. It’s an incredible book!
I never expected forbidden to give me such an heart attack. I was a total wreck crying uncontrollably. I read that the author has a history of depression and it was really difficult for her to write this book. Anyway, I really wanted to forget the heartache so I read No Tomorrow by Carian Cole. It was so soothing afterwards.👍
Forbidden shattered my soul. It’s in my top ten books of all time.
Flowers in the Attic by VC Andrews is similar and great as well

I was just searching for something to listen to while I painted my living room and found this video.
I just thought I'd throw on a comment and say I absolutely love forbidden, it's in my top 5 books of all time. I spent hours blubbering after I read it, it's the only book to ever have me like that. I gave it 5stars the second I finished weeping everywhere.
I recommend it anytime someone asks for taboo books.

I read unedited version and I followed author on IG. She changed age of Ria to make it more appropriate. So Ria was 15 when whole romance started. Lucia also kinda slightly changed chapters arrangement.
Forbidden broke my heart so bad. Would've given it full 5 if it wasn't siblings. I literally cried and wanted to punch everything. Read this book a few weeks ago and it still plays on my head. You are completely right in your assessment.

I wrote a book that is very, very dark. It's not exactly a romance, it's classified as a thriller, but the story is multifaceted and does involve a relationship. It also involves a lot of violence of varying kinds and things I can't list on TH-cam. Would this be a book you would consider reading and reviewing, or do you prefer to stick with dark romances alone?
i am so happy that i'm not the only one that just didn't find the wild believable at all... like it was so ridiculous that i couldn't even get into reading it
Yeah the whole premise of the trip and the trailer crash and everything was just like wtf for me! I think if my trailer fell off the side of a cliff I would just go back home lol

I super appreciate how you're so honest about what you like in books, even if it's "controversial." I remember seeing people read Balance and being weirded out by the extreme age gap and i was sitting here feeling bad because it also doesn't bother me that much. Same with toxic energy! I love it (in fiction) and people are like "but it's toxic" and I'm just like "but it's fiction... and it so so so good pls *insert that one Marge Simpson meme here*😭" 😅😅😅
I had no desire to read Forbidden, for no real reason. I just didn't feel pulled to it ...but the way you reacted and the way you described it has made me rethink my decision. I think I'm picking it up next after i finish my current book 💖
Omg I’m so happy you found my channel not weird at all welcome!!!💓 I like to push the boundaries with what I read and keep an open mind so with fiction, so I love reading these types of books! Balance is one of my all time favs and I know it’s not everyone thing but for me personally I love that series so much!! Also I know forbidden is definitely not for everyone either but if you end up checking it out I hope you like it! I still think about it all the time🥺
As someone who has read and liked both Forbidden and Flowers in the Attic I honestly prefer Maya and Lochan as a couple over Cathy and Chris. (Fyi for people who don't know, Chris actually r@pes Cathy in the first book, and as far as I know she's in denial about the fact that it was SA for the rest of the series). Like I don't condone incest, but if I had to choose a fictional brother-sister couple to root for, Maya and Lochan from Forbidden it is!

I don't know how Tabitha Suzuma managed to write a story about a straight up incestous relationship and not once make it feel gross. Like blood relation is not a hard limit for me when it comes to fiction, but I almost always still have that feeling of "this is weird, this is wrong, wtf they shouldn't be doing this," and while I knew deep down that that was true I never once felt that way with Forbidden.

I didn't like balance because cova was a cheater and I don't like cheaters and I'm not sure why she agrees to be with him while he's with his girlfriend at the same time.
