I purchased this last year when it was released. I own a couple other Varvatos fragrances and, wary of its performance, opted for the smaller bottle of this. Even though this isn’t a winter fragrance, I still wore it then and as I near the last few sprays, I’m kicking myself for not purchasing the larger bottle. Fantastic fragrance with good performance and am always complimented when I wear it, especially now in late spring. Will without a doubt purchase again. Great review, Jeremy.
This fragrance has already become my favorite. The opening is very bright, fresh, and evoking, but the most beautiful beautiful part is in its dry down, after 1 hour mark. And the bonus is in its longevity. I got solid 8 hours easily on my shirt and about 6-7 hours on my skin.

You are an inspiration to many out there and you continue to teach us to not limit yourself and strive for better things.
Very nice citrus blast in the opening, fueled by the usual bergamot petit grain combo. Instead of neroli, it’s lemon and orange, but the effects is still the same. Very refreshing, sour, bitter green citrus fruits. The base is soft and woody with just a little of the bright green opening hanging on. Seems like a great summer scent. Perfect for casual but it’s also refined enough for some formal wear. Projection is good during the first couple hours then it settles down on the skin. That final phase lasts up until 4 to 5 hours. To me it’s a must have just for the mesmerizing smell of it alone. But I guess to each their own when it comes down to this fragrance.

beautiful, well-made, rich and high-quality ingredients, relatively cheap to buy, no coughing or synthetic notes in it and all this with a new DNA: "woody/citrusy"
Sour/bitter smell that needs the heat to turn it sweeter and stronger, easily casualy to wear, but sadly not very versatile, but very unique.
This is not a 10/10 masterpiece like your Savauge/Aventus/ADG/ADG Profumo, but also not your typical cheap cologne.
A safe buy imo and worth having for a change of pace.

I bought because of this video. It is long lasting. I didn’t get any compliments to my face, or peripherally (hmm, something smells gooood!)
The sprayer is cheap though. Sometime it squirts, sometimes it sprays properly.

@itsmike9227 Just going by his face I'd say he's a very heavy drinker. He also said he had to massively hype himself up before filming every video so maybe pressure got to him aswell.
I love most JV fragrances. I received 2 compliments on the first day I wore JV Artisan Blu. I also own the original JV, Artisan Acqua and Dark Rebel. The only one I tried that I didn't like was Dark Rebel Rider.
Love this fragrance, my wife got this for me on our anniversary last month. My only complaint is it doesn't last long, it's not an all day fragrance but it does smell amazing!

I am with ya! I would be so nervous to walk up to people and get them to smell a fragrance. Jeremy is a good looking guy so obviously nobody is hesitant to be in his company and let him pitch his scent survey. I'm actually jealous these random people get to meet him, where as someone like myself would love to meet him. I have tried this one. It is very nice and although designer, it certainly breaks into niche territory. Nice review as always!

I did a blind buy and I just got the bottle today... Doesn't smell like its going to be long lasting at all. Its smells fresh, but not like a beast or super compliment getter, in my opinion. I will wear and look for reactions, but smells ok to me.
The original has been my favorite of all time for years!

Ah la promenade des anglais. I used to live not far from Nice, near Menton. I tried this in a store in London last month, I thought it was delicious & refreshing, really something special going on there, one of those scents that you want to keep on smelling (Can't find it here in France though).
This is my first day of wearing this fragrance. I had two unknown people sitting close to me and taking a deep breath. This fragrance does have something that does not leave indifferent

I tried this out on a paper strip and wasn't a huge fan to begin with. I sat the strip in my kitchen and forgot about it. When I returned to the kitchen it smelled amazing. I couldn't stop sniffing the strip after that! Haha. I returned and sprayed myself to see how it performed and it seems to have some great longevity on my skin. So I went back and picked up a bottle today. Thanks for bringing this fragrance to my attention.
For 15 seconds it smells like versace eau fraiche, and then, it goes in its own beautiful direction. So if u enjoy eau fraiche, try this, i am pretty sure you wont regret it. Quite the opposite. :) this is very beautiful .

What is the difference between Artisan Pure and just his Artisan? I bought the latter and while I like it, my wife thinks it's not very masculine:).
This sounds a lot like Aqua Amara, which would you say is the better all around fragrance? I already figure that Amara's performance is way better though.
D'von Gilpon Amara lasts longer and has a more unique scent. But ild say artisan pure is a lot more flexible than Amara. I find you need very hot/beach like weather for Amara to shine.
