Tom Ford Neroli Portofino Acqua (released 2016) is a near clone of John Varvatos Artisan (released 2009). Both these scents were done by the same perfumer Rodrigo Flores-Roux. Of course, you get the expected performance issues with the Varvatos, but if you're on a budget, go for the Varvatos, it's 99% the same.

Exactly good weather conditions. It's very annoying when people in hot humid countries just starting "fake perfume, duplicate stuff" not knowing the heat causing faster evaporation and hence power longevity, in fact if in conditions like this a perfume lasts way to long I'd expect it to be a duplicate because it's using synthetic fragrance oils, which would last longer, and not natural ones
Pure is a lot better than the original and I say that as someone who really likes neroli. The neroli of Artisan smells too much like a cleaning product and not that super clean, uplifting neroli found in fragrances where they use real neroli or use a very good synthetic neroli accord. Pure is a masterpiece and has the perfect mix between citrus, spices, florals, and woods.

It’s a BEAUTIFUL fragrance. At first I hated it but it grew on me an it’s one of my favorite summer scents.
I have both and I love them equally!

I have both, and enjoy both. JV Artisan = 6hrs, JV Artisan Pure = 8hrs+ on me.

I love these too but nothing beats the soapy neroli beauty of Neroli Portofino. Very overpriced but you can't deny the quality.

For me, it's not overhyped at all. The fragrance is not mainstream and there's no other Parfum that match it.
