They work great. Even better are the cowlings off industrial fans because their bars are concentric circles. Its not important to get an even size when getting rid of the dross but it helps.
Since I did this video I've started a dedicated prospecting channel. Coming up on that channel I've got some new classifiers made from bits and pieces.
I've started using a fan cover and it is so much faster and costs me much less energy. Especially with the wet sticky material. Thanks for the great idea!
You are more than welcome. I've now got a dedicated prospecting channel and as soon as I've finished my workshop I'll be doing more DIY prospecting stuff like this. Some really cheap equipment but also a series on designing a highbanker to suit the pump you have available.
Brilliant! I shall hit my local thrift stores and procure my own fan shroud classifier, as all I have are box fans.
