I wanna build one of these but I will add more width to the mash screen to have a U shape, The material under that doesn't need that much space so I can get more load and rolling effect better, and instead of being steady I rather have a swing effect by spring on top of the load section cross to the side stands. let me know what is your opinion.

If you shook the screen a little bit then you may not have to scrape it with your shovel. I pan in creeks in north Georgia so to utilize your idea I thought of installing the screen hinged to a plastic tub that I can submerge in the creek. Looks good Alan. You could run a header bar across the top and about 14” spraybars down the sides and make it a wet washer for wetter dirt. Set your bucket in that black tray and make a recirculating set up. Your 1100 pump would really give the rocks a good washing.
Hmm!? Turn that into a header box grizzly to turn your sluice box into a highbanker. Or do you have something similar made with a three sided spray bar? I need something for my Jobe 10" sluice with attached legs. Trying to figure out what to do with my Keene 6" sluice, like leave it as is or change it up. Also i want to build a light gutter sluice like Tom & Perry's Clean Up Sluice but wider for areas with fine gold. But, how do I make the flair and what do I put on the inside?
Very nice! Great payback to how you can do things simply and cheap, but also showing how 3D printing parts can help. That looks like it would help you shovel right onto a river sluice as well as filling buckets.
Lol I’ve been planning up a sluice on the same kind of concept using buckets basicly that but heat and flatten for mats and put a washer head on it. That way it breaks down cheap to make and weighs ounces vrs lbs. if we could put our minds together we’d be dangerous lol. One day I’ll get back to Montana been way tooooo long since I’ve been home 30 yrs
You spent more money on 3d printer filament than just buying PVC 😂. I do the same sometimes. Cool project, I need to build something portable like this.
Allan, you have read my mind! Recently I've been thinking about designs for a lightweight, backpackable high speed production classifcation screen / gravel screen. Would enable very, very fast classification to -1/4". The 'shovel onto screen' method is way faster and easier than shaking buckets as gravity does most of the work. I think gravel screens are very underrated as a way to speed up one's excavation and classifcation efforts and thereby have lighter, drier buckets to move. This leads to WAY more materal processed at the end of the day as you aren't spending precious time and energy on waste material / gangue. For people who can't highbank I think this is the best way to increase the amount of yardage one can move in a day.
I think you are exactly right. I am surprised that more people don't use a screen like this. So simple and affective. I will love using this this summer just shovel and classify at the same time then sit in the lawn chair and feed the sluice. Good luck if you make your own.

Hello Yes that old coat still exists. If I did as new review video on the new Carhartt jacket it wouldn't be good this new coat is only a few years old and falling apart.

This gave me motivation to make a highbanker pretty much the same way! I made a bucket blaster a couple years ago and it was perfect for the clay that shows up in the New Mexico desert.
