I'm watching this because I still haven't gotten my hands on a PS5 or Rebirth, but Cloud's little hum when he gets his reward on the Shinra-8 just convinced me that it has to be done this month.
I'm gonna take 5 business days just to watch this, but I will 😅
When I clicked it I thought it said 6 hours then after about 40 minutes I checked how much longer it had and was shocked it was 16 hours long.
It took me 5 business days to beat it lol

lol it's not messy, you just didn't get what they're trying to do. A preview on what is going to be inside Cloud's mental state for part 3 which is a major plot, also his grieving and acceptance.

A list of questions:
1) At what point does the scene in Intermission take place, where Zack came to Airith’s church and found out that she was not there, because judging by the amount of dirt on his face, he went to Midgar immediately after canceling his execution, without entering the church. (is there a third timeline here?)
2) Midgar was destroyed by a tornado, in Cloud’s reality he was not there, but he was in the pocket universe when we went to beat Seph at the very end of the remake (Did we beat Seph in Zack’s reality? Are the worlds somehow still connected?)
3) In the news they say that they are looking for a former soldier with a Buster Sword, and they are looking for him in the ruins of Midgar, i.e. It’s immediately obvious that this is not Zack, but Cloud (how many damn Clouds are there in Zack’s reality?)
4) How does time work here, because between the execution of Zack and the party’s departure from Midgar, at least a week or two must pass, while Zack, after the cancellation of the canonical execution, comes to Midgar at the moment when the escape from Midgar in theory should have taken place, but for him - It took at most half a day and a half.
The improvement from remake pt 1 to Rebirth is insane! Remake was good but this is amazing. Imagine how crazy the next chapter is going to be
I still say they should have just waited another 3-5 years and released 7 remake all at once as a 3 disc extravaganza it would have been the coolest thing a studio could have done , given us all the content all at once instead of milking it over 3 games 😅 everything in this game was probably planned to be in remakebbut they took a bunch out of remake so that rebirth would feel fresh, and atill orobably a lot is left out of this game so the third feels fresh 😴

They are playing Aerith’s theme too much in this game. It won’t hit the same during that you know what scene. This still has been one of my favorite games of all time though.

Makes sense. I can see how the Yuffie ‘singing’ at that part might be, but There are some scenes with no Bg audio that really seem like they wouldn’t be copyrighted(But not knowing the original I have no reference as to what’s being cut out so again, what you say makes the most sense.)
I'm quite curious, how is it that every game Square Enix develops always goes to PlayStation and *never* Xbox? Despite that Sony doesn't own Square Enix!
Nintendo and Sony jointly invest in Square Enix, so it's not a surprise when both get games first. And both consoles have had their share of timed exclusive this generation.

I'm so confused on what is happening with the timeline. The more the game progresses, the more complicated it has become. I clearly don't understand why, is cloud at aerith's house, is he taking a mile, is he falling down from the temple, what. So there are 3 Clouds??? I just couldn't get it. The game is amazing btw, but the storyline is broken at this point. You have to play 3 times in order for you to understand.

Why upload one with the optional date and not Aerith’s? Hers is what makes better sense with the story narrative… this just comes across as biased.

May be optional but Cloud treat the women he like the different way.
You act as if the date scene would make a difference in their relationship and bond. He can still have that with Aerith and still see Tifa in more of a romantic way. Tifa’s the reason he became a soldier. She’s the one that saves him. Aerith is a special part but so is Tifa. Aerith’s the one that held a certain purpose. Both Tifa abd Cloud’s purpose was to save the other, so I don’t know Aerith’s fans think it’s uncanon that he would go on the date with Tifa. Tifa’s the only one that got a kiss on her date. And anytime they hold hands they just find their way to the other vs Yuffue and Aerith they always have to grab Cloud. That pretty much tells you that it would make sense for him to go on the DATE with Tifa. Aerith gets more screen time anyway in the first two games.

Guys look at the comments, this video is missing sounds in multiple places, and the uploader cut out background music in many parts, so the scenes lack emotional impact. I was wondering why some scenes seemed off and didn't look as good as they should. Look for a different video if you want a better experience. Wasted my time with this

This game feels like they are trying to hard for the narrative. What a bad story detail to make everyone so upbeat 95% of the time. The random escape from Kalm was bad. Red's voice change was lame, so he did it to be taken serious 🙄. No, the writers did it to try and make that scene about his father still work. GI tribe changes was rough. Yuffie magically knowing Cid to fly on the map was bad. The Glenn character is dumb. I would give the game a C overall rating.

Just shut up and go tag radio towers and do fetch quests for generic NPCs. Maybe craft some potions. The only good things were the opening hour in midgar (apart from the filler Shinra installation) and the first time visiting Gold Saucer. Everything, EVERYTHING, else was shit.

Still to me XVI is way better then VII Rebirth (the gameplay and sidequests of the remake and this sequel didn't convinced me at all and got bored).

Both are just bloated single player adaptations of MMORPGs. Open world brimming with meaningless sidequests and legit RADIO TOWERS. I hoped I'd never see the day when Square turns into Ubisoft, but they took EVERY. SINGLE. POSSIBLE. MECHANIC from eveyr open world Ubi/Bethesda game and ended up with a diluted Filler Fantasy 7 which would have been great if you cut 90% of it. Like the stupid ghosts, the Kingdom Hearts LIGHT DARKNESS LIGHT DARKNESS shit and parallel universes...
