Toby Keith was the Angry American singer. Also, to give you an idea of how massive that guy who punched him was...Toby Keith is 6'3"/190.50 cm. Not small by any definition.
A quick note. Sending prayers to Toby Keith as he was diagnosed with stomach cancer last fall and has undergone treatment and chemo. He's had to cancel his concerts for the rest of this year. Praying he'll return healthy and strong to entertain us with more songs.
Toby took many things seriously; his faith, his family, his country. One think he never took seriously was himself. May God hold you in the palm of his hand Toby.
Fun fact. Toby Keith once stopped his concert and went up into the stands and grabbed a guy, had a few words with him, and then had him removed from the stadium. The guy was yelling nasty things and threw beer at the stage. Toby is big, and he really is a tough guy.
The first time I heard this, I agreed with you that he should have definitely helped his friend out, but after hearing it again, I realized that if his friend was hustling pool, then he got himself in trouble. The trouble didn't come looking for him. So once I realized that, then I was more forgiving of Toby not being keen on helping out in a bar fight.
Another good song by Toby is Don't Let The Old Man In. He was playing golf with Clint Eastwood when Clint said he was turning 88 the next week, and was directing as well as starring in a new movie. Toby asked how he keeps going and Clint said I just get up every day and don't let the old man in. So Toby used that to write a song, and Clint used it in his movie The Mule. Inspiration comes from anywhere!!
Toby did American Soldier and Made in America. Both great songs you should react too. He played 400 shows for our troops in 17 countries. Extremely patriotic. He left a huge vacuum in the earth when he went home to heaven
@@11BscoutNG simply your opinion which you’re entitled to. I wouldn’t listen to Post Malone if I was paid to. As far as Toby is concerned, nothing wrong with someone trying to instill some national pride in the music. We all need that as most youth of today are all about themselves and not as JFK said “it’s not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country.”
I live like 5 minutes away from where Toby Keith lives. Right on the lake. Dude is crazy at parties. But SUPER Patriotic when high. Shot a whole in his roof with a shotgun and kept partying.
Yes it was Toby you reacted to in the Angry American! I suggest Toby Keith's "I WANT TO TALK ABOUT ME!!" (it is a good song with a comedy video and telling a true story. Check it out! Its all good fun!
Yes, he is the guys who you listened to that sang to the troops--I watched that reaction of yours. I agree with some of the others--you should do "Red Solo Cup." A fun drinking song.
Country is not just the old twangy stuff. There’s a lot to it, crying in your beer songs; love songs; revenge songs; and quite a few with good humor. For the ladies, “Save a Horse, Ride a Cowboy” by Big and Rich. Just plain funny, “I’m Going to Marry for Money” by Trace Atkins. Serious, patriotic, it’s like heart and soul. Very popular right now is Chris Stapleton, you choose. He’s country soul.
YES...Toby is the Angry American! He can write songs about anything! He won a bet...writing a song about anything in 5 minutes. He wrote Solo Cup and it became a national phenomenon!
Not a country fan either, but I've always like Toby Keith because he straddles the line of "joke band" as my friends like to call it. A lot of his songs aren't serious, like this one, Red Solo Cup, Shitty Golfer, Wacky Tobacky, etc. He's done tons of goofy songs like that
Yes it was Toby Keith. He always plays for the troops and raises money for them. I watched you blokes react to Toby with the troops. Love watching from Washington State.
Yes Toby sings "Courtesy of the red, white and blue (The angry American)" for the troops it was wrote in memory of his father after 9/11 cause he wanted to write how he thought his dad would've felt about it.
They say at the beginning they have never heard of Toby Keith but they reacted to another Toby Keith song a month before this was uploaded, Brought To You Courtesy of the Red White and Blue.
