“We’re more travelers than campers” amen. I’m with you. Very little compares to locking the door, grabbing a bag, and jumping on a plane for a couple hours to get anywhere in the world. Excited for this next chapter for you guys.
The boredom factor/Groundhog Day effect is really interesting too. That deep human desire to have a community of friends and acquaintances around you (even the smallest interactions, like the guy you briefly chat with at 7/11 when you buy beer) is impossible to quantify until you no longer experience it daily. You hit the mail on the head.

I definitely enjoyed meeting you guys at cottonwood Arizona couple of years ago. I'm single and have been doing this with my dog for 4 years as of last September. I live full-time in my travel trailer but due to cost like fuel several of my other RVing friends and I have gone in together on some raw land a total of 10 acres that were working on making home with our trailers so we can still travel but we still have a home base. This lifestyle has brought my shoulders down from my ears the stress level has dropped dramatically. Yes are being is work but it's satisfying work. This will be my home to the end of my days whether I travel or just stay on our land. I'll continue to see how your adventures go because of your friendliness and down to earth attitude I have always enjoyed following you. I hope your next adventure is all you want it to be.
Hi and we remember you! 😊💗 That sounds amazing in regards to your new land purchase! That will make life a lot easier with the rising costs of fuel and campgrounds. RV life can be the solution for many. We have many friends that have been full-time for 5+ years and they wouldn’t do anything differently, either. Sorry to see you stop rving but totally get that. That's one of the reasons we decided not go full time when we retired but to just take off from our home in Oregon when we wanted to and travel the USA and come back home. Each year we travel a little farther. Happy you will be still YTers cause you are fun to watch. Much happy to you both.

Hay Guys, We enjoyed your adventures thus far and we wish you all the best on your next elevation in your adventures... Just to let you guys know, we deeply considered going full time but after following our very close TH-cam friends @RV Daydream (Who also stopped full timing after 2-1/2 years) We figured out that Full timing wasn't right for us. We are happy going out several months at a time and returning to a home base. We are gearing up to snow bird for our second time in Florida, but figured out that we also loved coming home in the spring. Good luck!!! 💯👍🏽 Herbie, Mary, & Peanut. PS. I’ve been RVing for 25 yrs. Everyone I knew over the years that full time ended up stopping within 5 yrs. They almost all said that they had burnout. Most last 2-3 years. The longest I knew personally was 5 yrs. That’s why we never even considered full time. We’re on the road 4-5 months a yr. Mostly in winter down in Florida, Georgia. I must say the RV boom of 2020 did ruin camping fees. Mostly in resort areas. Also, the real estate companies that buy up campgrounds raise fees to astronomical levels. For example. In Bar Harbor at Narrows Too we paid $80 / night in 2018. Now the same site in 2023 is $199 / night. It’s a killer. The new Rvers don’t know what happened. They just pay. I remember telling the Narrows Too staff we are not coming back the fees are too high, they said “ we don’t care, someone will pay” We will never sell our home, it’s not big and is a low cost to keep. Low taxes, and low maintenance

We have voiced our opinion at some of the rates and have been told the same thing. The rates will continue to rise as long as people will pay. And, yes, the burnout is real! We are hoping for 1-2 more years of full time…but we started preparing ourselves for when we come off the road by buying the house this summer. We will use it as an Air B&B until we settle down…just really nice to know we have it there if we need it…So we totally understand.
