Been doing something like this recently, try going for mosque and to while gathering wood for a house to avoid getting popped
In age up to fortress I prioritize wood gathering for that first TC and sending the TC wagon. Works great for quickly catching up and surpassing any enemy eco in fortress
This is basically every Otto player main do, I personally rush at 2nd age
I've been using similiar strategy for a while. I begin with mosque, house, market. Use the remaining 50 wood on fast settler upgrade and spending 100 food for wood gathering upgrade. If my explorer finds 50 wood and 50 gold I get hunter upgrade. My first shipment is 3 vils. I pick 500 food for aging.
As soon as I begin aging, I send all villagers to wood and getting 2nd fast billager upgrade(125 wood), then depending on the treausures and opponent civ, I build tp and 2 houses or just skip tp and build only houses. When I reach enough wood for 2 houses and one barrack, which I reach before hitting age 2, I send 6 vils on gold, rest on food. In 2nd age I send 700 wood first, get the final upgrade for fast settlers(300 wood), build my first or 2nd tp and send 5 villagers as 3rd shipment. I age early than other civs, build my barrack early, train units early, while having the same amount of vils and not paying for them. I scout opponent, if armies look balanced, I stop Janissary training and go for age 3 with the help of 700 gold shipment, get the 2nd wood upgrade, gather 1200 wood to 2nd and 3rd town center and jan upgrade. 2 cannons shipment is my first shipment in age 3.
I'm a bit noob tho, I suck at microing and controlling hunts and defending my villagers. That's why I tend to build mills and plantations earlier than it should. I build 3-4 plantations and 3 mills. Mix Janissary and cannons. They are very deadly combo, and very cost effective against many armies. I prefer Janissaries over Musks in front of cannons because of their much higher hp. They suck all the damage and still stand. And Ottomans have attack upgrade card for cannons which is really useful.

I’ve been playing AoE 3 for almost 10 years, and just right now watching this video I discovered that villagers can collect treasures. O.o
Lolllllll,at beginning i didnt lnow explorer could collect treasures.i used to take a vili with hero like a dog.
Seems like after 10 years you would have done it accidentally at some point.

Edit: I actually clicked on this video planning to repost it, because it is probably my favorite strategy in the game. If you get the advanced arsenal and Janissary Combat shipments later in the game, the ottomans can have an endless stream of the best line infantry in the game.
Finally another ottoman video!! My only regret is that it only lasted 10 minutes😂😂

Really hiped to see that upcoming Spanish fast Industrial. I am really curious about why they felt they had to nerf it, Spain has never been seen as a top tier Industrial Age civ.
It was because spain has faster shipments, then in 10 minutes the had age 4 pikemen and crossbow and they had 24 pikemen in a card, lets Say that at min 14 i could had 2 falcs, 36 pikemen and 20 crossbows or make a 10 min rush with crossbows and pikemen of age 4 meanwhile the oponnent was age 3 because gold shipments arrive much early for spain

I love it,ottoman is best civ for beiginners.cause villager are automatically created. I can put my mind in other things especially combat

@@DakkaDakkaDakkaWaagh TRUE. Otto semo-ff is probably the easiest winning strategy in the game. Otto is not good for mastering the game.

This is pretty cool. Are there problems with having your entire pop limit filled with villagers?
That shouldn't be a problem since in aoe 3 vills have a maximum number of 99 and with most civs if the game lasts enough you want to be hitting this number, because less eco is unavailable to sustain a bigger army for long
Also keep in mind that normal training time for villager/settler are 25s while ottoman settler require 48 second, with 3 mosque upgrade the training time will be reduced to 30s per villager, so unless going for 3 or 4 tc they still take time to reach 100.
You can also just stop auto production which is neat. Regardless it's probably the best eco bonus for early to mid game imo whether you are super fast castling being aggressive in age 2 or just following a balanced approach

Why not ship 1k wood first, build 1 or 2 tc's, then send the covered wagon later on? It seems straight-up better, as the 1k wood gets you the 3 tc's earlier than you would with just the tc wagon. And you can still send the covered wagon later to get the 4th tc.
This is what I usually do. Depending on the map and my opponent's civ, I typically ship 3 settlers, then 700 coin, and then 1k wood and a TC wagon.
Because your explorer can build only one tc at a time and the dude builds slowwwly. Covered wagon builds very quickly.

In what way are "Ottomans basically a native civ"? They are very much a European civ: access to a kind of musk, huss, artillery in Age 3, factories, and so on

I don’t think so, trade routes here serves to boost to the next shipment, not to gather resources
@@MROKJIA Silk Road in DE adds another 25 resources for every 100 crates. A shipment of 700 gold will now be 875. The implication is you don't need to gather gold to age up.

He played On twich, now they are a truly b tier civ, the boom si lower, early si better but the blueberries is too situtional to be effective
He played them on Twitch and lost 10 out of 12 games. He seemed to be kinda frustrated with them

Obus só é forte mesmo misturado, sozinho é um investimento muito arriscado. Além do mais turcos tem upgrade especial dos arqueiros a cavalo
