I want to see one of these British Tower FI builds in a mirror match now. I have a feeling that a cursed monkey's paw somewhere is going to grant my wish, though, and the entire game will be nothing but British Tower FI mirror matches in about three weeks.
I don't understand these games. When I try to focus on eco early game I always get rushed at 5-7 minutes and I'm dead. Do those players agree before playing to not rush each other or are they just lucky?
Probably not. The 2 early towers with the TC would shred them easily. The best strat would be going age3 and petards (in the case of India, the Seige Elephants, maybe 4 or 5) and just take down the TC followed by the towers. Make like 15 sepoys and 4-5 Seige Elephants with FF, and it's gg at around 9 min.

The best play against this is to instead go FF, get artillery/petard and brute force the TC. Then artillery the Outposts. You cannot outboom this play while playing standard game anyway.
@Aussie_Drongo what nerf do you reckon would be appropriate for the towers? Make them Age 2 buildings? Less damage/HP in Age 1/2? Or do you think they should be left as they are?
@@deyankanev9556 I know that this is quite a radical change, but I think that they should change the towers to what they should've been from the start; a much higher damage output, allowing them to, well, actually defend, and in return they'll lose their ability to call in shipments. To make sure they can't just be spammed to oblivion early game, the tower cap should be something like 0 in age 1, 1 in age 2, 2 in age 3 and so on. Their price should increase as well.
So Iron troops can't get 3x multiplier because CIR doesn't affect them. But what about Iron troops from China? What if China sends repelling volley? Would that grant 3x multiplier to Iron troops?
as a 1100 elo player who has never learned how to execute a proper build order or right click my units onto their counters, i want to say that i would have simply beaten this brit tower FI by simply pike or musk rushing. 9 minute age 1 is simply too slow

if you aren’t good enough to make units and micro them well, making towers and walls and hoping that your enemy doesn’t make a coordinated push with artillery can win you games. the games community is so small it’s literally no surprise at all that lame troll builds take over the meta. they’re recycled between 5 nerds who play to lame.

Coz as Drongo said, everyone is now abusing it - abuse it until they eventually nerf (balance) it
