Trent P. McDonald - Piano Sonata in G Minor (The Classical) 2nd Movement

Several years ago I wrote a "Classical Style" sonata. By classical, I mean late 18th, early 19th century, with the biggest influence being Beethoven. The first movement is the closest to the Big B in style. The second movement, the Adagio, does have some of the influence, but is very much a modern piece in many ways. It is in a simple rondo form (ABABA). Although it is the calm after the storm of the first movement and respite before the dark comedy of the third movement scherzo, I did use the same storm clouds in the video... Part of it is to bring the different movements together. Someone listening closely will hear that they do share a lot of musical material. Basic motifs are developed from movement to movement to unify the entire piece into a single whole.
