I was sick with covid back in December and i watched this for enjoyment while sick... My quarantine i watched it and couldn’t stop! I thought i wasn’t going to make it, and developed anxiety. But this was my medicine. I caught up for season 11 , and for frank to die from covid jus made me so sad ... this was my comfort when i was down
@@Jessica-ei1ls no the director even clarified he died of covid. I believe they said the rapid was negative but the lab was positive which makes it realistic because the rapid test have alot of false negatives or say negative but positive

One more thing. A HUGE shout out to Joan Cusack for her role as Sheila! I have always loved her but this was her BEST role yet! She's so hilarious and Sheila was one of my favorite characters on Shameless! I especially loved how all of her pillows looked like anuses! Little things like that really made the show special! :)
I wish she would have talked to Cameron about his portrayal of bipolar disorder. That story line meant so much to me, as someone with said disability. He truly portrayed it so well and respectfully as well.
Imagine a Mickey and Ian spin-off delving into parenthood, navigating chaos, laughs, and love. As someone who relates to Mickey's upbringing and battles, including a friend I know, who is a single mom of 3, who struggles with bipolar disorder, it hits close to home. I've seen real-life challenges, and this spin-off could shed light on them with Gallavich grit.
The interviewer telling William H Macy “no offence but I can’t remember your career before Frank Gallagher” is extremely rude. He was a gigantic star before this role. Maybe before her time but either way, very rude comment.

Horrible job by the interviewer. Steve Howie (kev) just recently went through a divorce after 11 years then asks him a question about what his character did to keep a good relationship. He is visibly upset during and after the question. She should have done more research, it's a comedy show and he played the goofy comic relief, theres a million other things she could have asked.
"And..Cameron and Noel, where do you find your characters in 15 years?" Cam: "Prison." Had me cracking up. Also great interview, got a lil emotional too.
John is smart asf. I never realized until he said it "we didn't pull the Gallaghers of their hell whole because that's not how it goes for most families in their situation" I always wondered how they would end up making it out but not everyone does. And that's a pretty good take on the show because it doesn't separate anything from their past because they're still going through it they're just more experienced in this shit now.
This show is so close to my heart. My husband and I started binge-watching "Shameless" in July 2018, immediately following my husband's cancer diagnosis. He died 7.5 months later, but we watched as many episodes as we could stay awake for nearly every night during his cancer battle. Thank you for helping us take our minds off of our own personal disaster.

I feel like Shanola should have conducted this interview. She seems like the life blood of this cast and I think she would have asked some amazing questions.
Liam is the best character honestly....his final Interactions with Frank are touching...he knows the kind of person Frank is, but he has a mature outlook on life being the youngest and seeing everyone make mistakes before him. GOOD KID.
I'm so sorry Fiona was not able to be involved in the finale panel. I know she's been gone a couple of years, but she was a strong cast member for the majority of the 11 years. I always hoped she was going to show up again for the last episode
They "claimed" she couldn't do it do to needing 2 weeks of covid quarantine before she could be in either city where they were filming. I feel like a facetime call would have sufficed. The ending was weak otherwise.

It was childish, much like "Bennifer" or "Brangelina," just something 7th grade girls would do. I think both men hated how their story lines called for very little solo scenes without the other. It was as if the writers assumed all gay couples are joined at the hip. It was quite noticeable.
You're dead right, she prattled on far too much. Nobody is interested in her opinions or interpretations. Just ask the questions and let them speak. Most of the cast looked utterly bored having to listen to her.

This show hit home in so many ways. When Ian got diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder, I was getting diagnosed with it as well. So he’s near and dear to my heart.

you can really see the real connection and love that Steve and Shanola have for one another, the entire time one is talking the other is fully smiling. it's so sweet, no wonder they had such good chemistry on the show

Hates his own kids, just drinks and wanders the streets looking for drugs, love, and money. Its just my opinion, i dont equate the two!

This host totally disrespected William H Macy with the comment about him only being known from Shameless. Macy is such a damn good actor in so many good movies but for 11 years he was Frank and it will forever be his best known character. Everyone knows him for that (or sadly the recent mess his wife was involved in). How many can name his character from The Cooler or Boogie Nights. Macy also considers Frank his biggest role so I am not sure why he would feel disrespected. It's like Harrison Ford. He has made so many good movies but Han Solo and Indiana Jones will be forever what the world knows him for over everything else.
Found it kind of odd to hear them talk about Carl looking for structure and order "in a way the other Gallaghers haven't" when that was exactly what Ian was doing for the first few seasons and then in later seasons once he accepted his diagnosis and started thinking about his future again. Cam looks so done with this show in this interview, and I honestly can't blame him. Feels like they completely forgot about his character's arc and personality somewhere along the way. He said something about Ian and Mickey being two *individuals* and I wholeheartedly agree. It's like the writers stopped thinking of them as two individuals in season 11, and I can imagine that being frustrating. Even the interview questions were always directed at Noel and Cam as a pair. They are such talented actors and it would've been nice to see the writers do more with their characters and storylines, especially with Cam who I think was so underutilized.
Yes, and you can see on Cams face how done he was with the interviewer it was awkward to watch. Ian's character just had so much more potential and the writers did him dirty. But, I do love ian and mickey's relationship. The ending, starting from like..season 8 just seemed downhill for ian's character.its really sad.🥺 still love him and he deserved better.✌🏼
It's almost as if two straight male writers didn't quite know just what to do with men who are gay. It was unfortunate because it was an affront both to the fine actors and the audience, who are more nuanced than writers seem to comprehend.

A very small action where the nurse put her hand gently on Frank’s shoulder for a moment was so sweet. I took notice and it made me cry. No small parts.
It sadly mirrors real life over the past year. Frank died alone and due to Covid. The nurses and doctors were the last people there for them when family wasn't allow to see them. I read real life stories of nurses holding the hands of Covid victims in the end, embracing them because family couldn't be there.
This show was recommended to me by a friend. I watched all the seasons during the pandemic. I recently finished the final season. I enjoyed all the characters, loved the situations they got themselves into, all the crazy shenanigans that went on, the fights and the love. I will miss the show. Well done. Bravo.

I just watched all 11 seasons over the last week and a bit for the first time. Such a good show. Feeling very sad that it’s over. Feel like it ended a bit quickly. I’d like to have seen where they all ended up and loved the idea they would all meet at Lips for dinner on Fridays. Great show. Well done to all.

He is an excellent actor though and been in many great films but he will forever be Frank as he was Frank for 11 years.
Gallavich actually gave me the confidence to expect my sexuality. I’ve been trying to deny it for years because my parents are blatant homophobes. When Mickey married Ian even though his dad threatened him. It made me believe that one day I can marry or just be with who I love even if there the same gender.
My parents are very accepting and aren’t homophobic however seeing how Mickey came out knowing the that he would most likely get hurt doing so he stayed strong and did it for the person he loved gave me so much for confidence
They weren't the most perfect pairing, but they definitely were the strongest and most iconic in all of Shameless. Hell, in all of premium cable tv, if I am so bold to say. I would love a spinoff of just them living in their new condo and even trying to get a baby. That would be fun. But I can also understand if the actors wanted to branch out and do other things with their careers and I wouldn't fault them for that. 10 years is a long time to still be playing the same character in a tv show. Most tv shows aren't around for even half that amount of time. Though, I'm hoping they'd be just as excited and interested in playing these characters again as I am watching them.
I really hoped Emmy Rossum was more involved in this show near the end. She didn’t leave on bad terms and was a huge part of the show. Just sucks that she was not included. 😞
I know the ending felt so unanswered and so many open holes for us to figure out but I think a lot of it has to do with the idea that realistically for these characters closure and success aren’t always in the cards. Their environment, circumstances and just the reality of the lives they live. So in a way it’s fitting for us not to know, or for the characters to be in limbo and unsure of what’s next. That uncertainty of life and what tomorrow has in store has always been such a pillar theme in Shameless.
I like this new perspective you brought in, but we can't forget that Fiona got some closure. She was able to escape from being the caregiver she was forced to become through her whole teenage life and go live the life she wanted. I think that the house should've been sold already and we should've seen what direction they were all going in. I think we still would've definitely had a lot of unanswered questions with Debbie's love life, Carl's job, Tami's potential pregnancy, and Liam having to deal with the loss of Frank, but hey it would've been better.

Honestly, one of the best series on TV. Captured so many emotions in a world that is engulfed in turmoil and craziness. Thanks to those creative people behind the scenes and the actors who portrayed such an eclectic array of characters. I will miss the laughs and OMG moments.
We need at least a reunion film! From the loose ends they left (which I like that a lot) to each of the actors’ pictures of their characters in the next 15 years, there are so much possibilities to tell. When she said the Gallagher family was spoiled in the sense of not knowing shame.. wtf. Literally the entire show is about them being shamed by all of society. I’m glad Cameron said something he was literally scr atching his head as she said that. The entire show was them learning not to feel shameful of where and who they came from and how it didn’t stop them from becoming smart strong adults capable of love and responsibility.
i think they are emotional about the ending, as well as this was online and it's kind of hard to be all professional from your home. they handled it well.

From Italy...i started to watch this show with my gf cause of the quarantine. We stayed in pajamas for entire days watching this from the beginning to the end. We loved it and we will miss a lot
The ending wasn’t exactly satisfying but I did expect something like this to happen. I knew Frank was going to die, that was almost a given. I also kind of expect the ending to be very open-ended and unfinished because with Frank’s death he doesn’t get to see the resolution to the characters current storylines and neither do we. Death doesn’t wait for a convenient time. People die during times when their family are going through shit already. So the ending isn’t what I wanted but, it didn’t surprise me at all.
I'm confused... there must of been hundreds of people who read the script for this finale and not one of them thought to cremate it instead of Frank? Not one of them said, "Where's Fiona?" or "Damn this episode is boring" or "Why are we casting a random love interest for Debbie so late in the series when we could have brought back some old characters"? It's absurd to me, especially when the journey to get here was so amazing and epic! I'm going to miss you Shameless, but I wish Showtime had done you justice.

I can't say whatever, it was the drama of my youth. My 20s passed with this series. It's hard to admit that it's over now. I am thirty now and I spent almost ten years on this series. It is very difficult for me, I love you very much.
This interview had all the ingredients needed to be amazing. Unfortunately, the interviewer seemed out of her depth but the rudimentary questions were at least posed in a way that these generous actors were able to fill in the gaps to turn their responses into precisely what the avid viewers would wish to hear, and it was very thoughtful of them. Being in an ensemble show is so rewarding and it truly becomes very much like a family. As an actor myself, I can't imagine what it would be like to have a show run THAT long. It will be quite an adjustment, especially for the actors that have grown up on this set. I wish them all well, and I see great things for everyone in this wonderful cast. I miss the show terribly, nearly one year on from the finale.
My dad started to watch the show and enjoyed it just for the simple reason that it reminded him of his childhood and being raised in a similar situation and overcoming it all.
I can relate to the show not with the dysfunction and poverty but with alcoholism and drug abuse in my family and has changed us so much and I love I can relate to shameless and every family is dysfunctional
It made me sad for Liam, wondering if he'll grow up looking for Frank everyday, wondering where he went what happened to him, it would have been nice knowing at least Franks ashes made it back to Liam.
Christian is adorable! I loved everyone’s performances on this show. I can’t wait to see what the Shameless cast does from here. Especially Cameron. He was AMAZING as Jerome in Gotham. This is definitely my comfort show and it was so hard to see it end. You guys did fantastic portraying poverty, mental illness, and traumatic experiences and it helped me cope with some of my own problems.
None of these roles could have been cast with alternative actors. Each actor perfectly embodies their character. On another note: how am I supposed to live without Kev and V???? 😭💔

Covid prevented her from returning but still it was odd in Frank's letter she wasn't mentioned at all. Showtime should've allowed them to do a final season. I know other shows were hurt by Covid but this was the longest running and only one ending I believe.

The vast majority of fans hated the last few seasons after the writing staff changed after season 7. Seasons 8 till the final is some of the worst television I've ever seen from a cable network. Far worse than their failures with weeds and Dexter. Emmy left cause it was obvious that everything was being scaled back with production and the writing staff, asked for more money and they declined. Mainly cause at that point they no longer needed her, the show was already on borrowed time and Showtime executives just wanted to milk it for everything it could while spending the least amount of money possible. How is that for an observation? They ran off their star cause they didn't give a shit about the show or it's fans. It just became a woke public service announcement every episode from John Wells. No thanks! I'll never watch a show starring nobodies who can't act and if this was the cast from day 1 with Debbie as a lead character, it never would have got past 1 season. They killed this show years ago and fuck them for doing so. Seasons 1-4 are amazing, the rest is hot ass garbage.

i feel like the interview and writers forgot about ian and mickey as individual characters. every scene with them was together and it just started to get weird towards the end. especially that “dom top daddy” scene like wtf was that. and in this interview too. cam and noel were always addressed with each other and you could tell they were tired of it. i understand how much the fans wanted the couple together and i feel the same way, but it just started getting weird, especially towards the end. didn’t even feel like i was watching shameless anymore. all of the actors did an amazing job through all this though
That's why they need a spinoff with better writers to focus not just them as a couple but on them indivalgaly, with even Carl on the show since it sounded like he was going to buy the Alibi. And with Mickey and Ian there is the kid thing, but also storylines dealing with Ian's bipolar which was not addressed much the last season, then there's Mickey's mother she was mentioned in season ten that could be explored could cast Drew Barrymore or someone like that as his mother, plus they never brought back Mandy, so there's plenty storyline material for a spinoff. It's not like they can't do the show in between other projects Noel and Cameron got booked

I wish she would have talked to Cameron about his portrayal of bipolar disorder. That story line meant so much to me, as someone with said disability. He truly portrayed it so well and respectfully as well.
Imagine a Mickey and Ian spin-off delving into parenthood, navigating chaos, laughs, and love. As someone who relates to Mickey's upbringing and battles, including a friend I know, who is a single mom of 3, who struggles with bipolar disorder, it hits close to home. I've seen real-life challenges, and this spin-off could shed light on them with Gallavich grit.

Horrible job by the interviewer. Steve Howie (kev) just recently went through a divorce after 11 years then asks him a question about what his character did to keep a good relationship. He is visibly upset during and after the question. She should have done more research, it's a comedy show and he played the goofy comic relief, theres a million other things she could have asked.

I never realized until he said it "we didn't pull the Gallaghers of their hell whole because that's not how it goes for most families in their situation" I always wondered how they would end up making it out but not everyone does. And that's a pretty good take on the show because it doesn't separate anything from their past because they're still going through it they're just more experienced in this shit now.
This show is so close to my heart. My husband and I started binge-watching "Shameless" in July 2018, immediately following my husband's cancer diagnosis. He died 7.5 months later, but we watched as many episodes as we could stay awake for nearly every night during his cancer battle. Thank you for helping us take our minds off of our own personal disaster.

I'm so sorry Fiona was not able to be involved in the finale panel. I know she's been gone a couple of years, but she was a strong cast member for the majority of the 11 years. I always hoped she was going to show up again for the last episode

This show hit home in so many ways. When Ian got diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder, I was getting diagnosed with it as well. So he’s near and dear to my heart.

Macy is such a damn good actor in so many good movies but for 11 years he was Frank and it will forever be his best known character. Everyone knows him for that (or sadly the recent mess his wife was involved in). How many can name his character from The Cooler or Boogie Nights. Macy also considers Frank his biggest role so I am not sure why he would feel disrespected. It's like Harrison Ford. He has made so many good movies but Han Solo and Indiana Jones will be forever what the world knows him for over everything else.
Found it kind of odd to hear them talk about Carl looking for structure and order "in a way the other Gallaghers haven't" when that was exactly what Ian was doing for the first few seasons and then in later seasons once he accepted his diagnosis and started thinking about his future again. Cam looks so done with this show in this interview, and I honestly can't blame him. Feels like they completely forgot about his character's arc and personality somewhere along the way. He said something about Ian and Mickey being two *individuals* and I wholeheartedly agree. It's like the writers stopped thinking of them as two individuals in season 11, and I can imagine that being frustrating. Even the interview questions were always directed at Noel and Cam as a pair. They are such talented actors and it would've been nice to see the writers do more with their characters and storylines, especially with Cam who I think was so underutilized.
Yes, and you can see on Cams face how done he was with the interviewer it was awkward to watch. Ian's character just had so much more potential and the writers did him dirty. But, I do love ian and mickey's relationship. The ending, starting from like..season 8 just seemed downhill for ian's character.its really sad.🥺 still love him and he deserved better.✌🏼

It's almost as if two straight male writers didn't quite know just what to do with men who are gay. It was unfortunate because it was an affront both to the fine actors and the audience, who are more nuanced than writers seem to comprehend.
Christian’s portrayal of Liam became the best character throughout this entire series. You just know he’s about to take the world by storm, and I, like you all, will be behind him all the way. What a gem.

A very small action where the nurse put her hand gently on Frank’s shoulder for a moment was so sweet. I took notice and it made me cry. No small parts.

It sadly mirrors real life over the past year. Frank died alone and due to Covid. The nurses and doctors were the last people there for them when family wasn't allow to see them. I read real life stories of nurses holding the hands of Covid victims in the end, embracing them because family couldn't be there.

Gallavich actually gave me the confidence to expect my sexuality. I’ve been trying to deny it for years because my parents are blatant homophobes. When Mickey married Ian even though his dad threatened him. It made me believe that one day I can marry or just be with who I love even if there the same gender.

I love how they showed Mickey's vulnerabilities. This turned out to be one of my favourite story lines in Shameless.
They weren't the most perfect pairing, but they definitely were the strongest and most iconic in all of Shameless. Hell, in all of premium cable tv, if I am so bold to say. I would love a spinoff of just them living in their new condo and even trying to get a baby. That would be fun. But I can also understand if the actors wanted to branch out and do other things with their careers and I wouldn't fault them for that. 10 years is a long time to still be playing the same character in a tv show. Most tv shows aren't around for even half that amount of time. Though, I'm hoping they'd be just as excited and interested in playing these characters again as I am watching them.

I know the ending felt so unanswered and so many open holes for us to figure out but I think a lot of it has to do with the idea that realistically for these characters closure and success aren’t always in the cards. Their environment, circumstances and just the reality of the lives they live. So in a way it’s fitting for us not to know, or for the characters to be in limbo and unsure of what’s next. That uncertainty of life and what tomorrow has in store has always been such a pillar theme in Shameless.

I like this new perspective you brought in, but we can't forget that Fiona got some closure. She was able to escape from being the caregiver she was forced to become through her whole teenage life and go live the life she wanted. I think that the house should've been sold already and we should've seen what direction they were all going in. I think we still would've definitely had a lot of unanswered questions with Debbie's love life, Carl's job, Tami's potential pregnancy, and Liam having to deal with the loss of Frank, but hey it would've been better.

From Italy...i started to watch this show with my gf cause of the quarantine. We stayed in pajamas for entire days watching this from the beginning to the end. We loved it and we will miss a lot

The ending f ing sucked ass!!
The ending wasn’t exactly satisfying but I did expect something like this to happen. I knew Frank was going to die, that was almost a given. I also kind of expect the ending to be very open-ended and unfinished because with Frank’s death he doesn’t get to see the resolution to the characters current storylines and neither do we. Death doesn’t wait for a convenient time. People die during times when their family are going through shit already. So the ending isn’t what I wanted but, it didn’t surprise me at all.
It was the perfect way to end something we wanted to last forever.

I'm confused... there must of been hundreds of people who read the script for this finale and not one of them thought to cremate it instead of Frank? Not one of them said, "Where's Fiona?" or "Damn this episode is boring" or "Why are we casting a random love interest for Debbie so late in the series when we could have brought back some old characters"? It's absurd to me, especially when the journey to get here was so amazing and epic! I'm going to miss you Shameless, but I wish Showtime had done you justice.

Fiona only didn’t come back cause she couldn’t fly back due to covid and other things she had going on. so emmy missed filming, which is completely understandable in a way, definitely missed her :(

I can't say whatever, it was the drama of my youth. My 20s passed with this series. It's hard to admit that it's over now. I am thirty now and I spent almost ten years on this series. It is very difficult for me, I love you very much.

This interview had all the ingredients needed to be amazing. Unfortunately, the interviewer seemed out of her depth but the rudimentary questions were at least posed in a way that these generous actors were able to fill in the gaps to turn their responses into precisely what the avid viewers would wish to hear, and it was very thoughtful of them. Being in an ensemble show is so rewarding and it truly becomes very much like a family. As an actor myself, I can't imagine what it would be like to have a show run THAT long. It will be quite an adjustment, especially for the actors that have grown up on this set. I wish them all well, and I see great things for everyone in this wonderful cast. I miss the show terribly, nearly one year on from the finale.
My dad started to watch the show and enjoyed it just for the simple reason that it reminded him of his childhood and being raised in a similar situation and overcoming it all.
Same reason I started watching. So relatable. I didn't know about it until my brother had me watch it and was hooked right away.
Same here. This show helped me get through a lot of lingering emotions left from my abusive childhood and dysfunctional family.
I can relate to the show not with the dysfunction and poverty but with alcoholism and drug abuse in my family and has changed us so much and I love I can relate to shameless and every family is dysfunctional
It made me sad for Liam, wondering if he'll grow up looking for Frank everyday, wondering where he went what happened to him, it would have been nice knowing at least Franks ashes made it back to Liam.

Christian is adorable! I loved everyone’s performances on this show. I can’t wait to see what the Shameless cast does from here. Especially Cameron. He was AMAZING as Jerome in Gotham. I’m sad Shameless is over, but now I can binge the show from season one while I suffer from withdrawals. XD

This is definitely my comfort show and it was so hard to see it end. You guys did fantastic portraying poverty, mental illness, and traumatic experiences and it helped me cope with some of my own problems.
None of these roles could have been cast with alternative actors. Each actor perfectly embodies their character. On another note: how am I supposed to live without Kev and V???? 😭💔

Covid prevented her from returning but still it was odd in Frank's letter she wasn't mentioned at all. Showtime should've allowed them to do a final season. I know other shows were hurt by Covid but this was the longest running and only one ending I believe.

The fact that they barely mentioned Emmy/she wasn’t in this live just gives off that someone behind the scenes doesn’t like her. When The Walking Dead had a Zoom reunion in December Andrew was there.
She kinda screwed everyone over by quitting the show because they wouldn’t pay her as much as William H Macy. I’m sure the producers weren’t crazy about her after that. Great way to end your career as an actress

@@oldmanhendo7183 The money thing had been resolved a year prior to her leaving. They said they wanted Fiona back, were talking with Emmy but Covid restrictions didn't allow it to happen. Emmy also herself has said she left on good terms.

The vast majority of fans hated the last few seasons after the writing staff changed after season 7.
Seasons 8 till the final is some of the worst television I've ever seen from a cable network. Far worse than their failures with weeds and Dexter.
Emmy left cause it was obvious that everything was being scaled back with production and the writing staff, asked for more money and they declined.
Mainly cause at that point they no longer needed her, the show was already on borrowed time and Showtime executives just wanted to milk it for everything it could while spending the least amount of money possible.
How is that for an observation? They ran off their star cause they didn't give a shit about the show or it's fans.
It just became a woke public service announcement every episode from John Wells. No thanks!
I'll never watch a show starring nobodies who can't act and if this was the cast from day 1 with Debbie as a lead character, it never would have got past 1 season.
They killed this show years ago and fuck them for doing so.
Seasons 1-4 are amazing, the rest is hot ass garbage.

She called Liam "Spoiled"...and doesn't give any respect to the finale by asking the cast how they feel or acknowledge how the public may feel..Shameful interview..and that says a lot for a shameless cast. I have respect to all the cast and am respectful that they are probably feeling emotional now. Not a fan of this woman's interview at all!

i feel like the interview and writers forgot about ian and mickey as individual characters. every scene with them was together and it just started to get weird towards the end. especially that “dom top daddy” scene like wtf was that. and in this interview too. cam and noel were always addressed with each other and you could tell they were tired of it. i understand how much the fans wanted the couple together and i feel the same way, but it just started getting weird, especially towards the end. didn’t even feel like i was watching shameless anymore. all of the actors did an amazing job through all this though
That's why they need a spinoff with better writers to focus not just them as a couple but on them indivalgaly, with even Carl on the show since it sounded like he was going to buy the Alibi. And with Mickey and Ian there is the kid thing, but also storylines dealing with Ian's bipolar which was not addressed much the last season, then there's Mickey's mother she was mentioned in season ten that could be explored could cast Drew Barrymore or someone like that as his mother, plus they never brought back Mandy, so there's plenty storyline material for a spinoff. It's not like they can't do the show in between other projects Noel and Cameron got booked
