I hated how towards the end, no one helped Fiona despite her doing EVERYTHING for that family. And in the final seasons, she's basically forgotten. I'm still pissed that in Frank's final monologue he doesn't even mention her.
I mentioned this to my friend... So franks not gonna leave a word for his oldest daughter who raised his children.... Gtfoh.. main thing I disliked about the finale
@@robfield6697 i guess that could be it, but unlike ian they didnt make any mention to it, so we dont know about the similiarity between monica and debbie and just put it off as debbie becoming shitty
As much as people hate her and don't want to admit it. But she's the most realistic character in the show. It's always the good kids who get older, realize they're doing good for people who don't deserve it around them or in other words realize the world isn't right. Admire and befriend the WRONG people like Holly and her fat ugly misandrist friend whose name I forgot.. and start realizing that no good deed goes by unpunished. I really wanted to like Lip. I really did… I tried, but he was just so mean to Fiona. Like yelling at her all the time, putting her down and making her feel like crap. Like give her a break, she has a lot on her shoulders and she’s young herself! Fiona went out of her way to get the kids out of foster care with no appreciation. She didn’t even want to stay the night in a nice hotel with Jimmy because she didn’t want to leave the kids…Also, I never uderstood why Lip yelled at her so hard when his Sponsee or whatever fell off the wagon…How was Fiona supposed to know? It’s not like she held a gun to his head and made him do it!? Then Lip starts f*ing up and drinking! I do like Lip, I didn’t like the person he was when he was yelling at her. I thought it was a little unfair.
I am a fan of the original show. My favourite character in that was probably Micky. He's way different than his American counterpart. He's really insecure and kind of pathetic.
Amen. They really knew how to write great drama to balance all the chaotic comedy in those first 4. Everything after was pretty goofy and uninteresting.
I feel like the final scene is what I wanted, the family together and frank being dead, but the show didn’t earn the ending at all, they kept adding more things like Tami being pregnant, Ian wanting a kid, and Carl possibly having a kid. They should’ve ended it when Fiona was still around
After season 6 something died in shameless slightly.. and I agree that after Sheila left the show lost a little magic. Season 7 and 8 were in between really boring, annoying, but some really special moments. At the end of season 8 going into season 9 it felt like things got a bit better again
YES!!! Finally someone gets it.. people say the show "went to shit" after Emmy Rossum left but honestly it lost its charm after Joan Cusack was written out (which i think is end of s4/5)
‘Shameless’ is probably my favorite show. It wasn’t afraid to be real and show how a lot of people live. After Fiona left it was a tough pill to swallow but I think Ian & Micky really carried the last 2 seasons and I loved them as characters and their journey. Sad it’s over but I understand it can’t go on forever... loved your video!
my favourite season is season 4 because of all of the dark storylines it has. but my fav character is Ian. Cameron Monaghan really showed himself in season 4 and 5 and i think he deserves more spotlight and more good roles. Ian going cockoo in season 5 is probably my fav arch of all of the show.
I really wish season 9 would have been the last. Such a great ending with Fiona at least and nobody would have been as disappointed with it like this season🤢🤮
S9 was terrible, show set up So more for Fiona's downward spiral just for her to face next to no consequences. Drunked hit n run, dropped next episode, trustpassing w assault and caught after running WHEN she was still on probation, nevermind not even a fine
The quality drop of the last few seasons hurt but I hated how the show lost all subtlety starting at season 9. Of course the show had political and social stuff but it was always part of the world. It was a room with blue curtains to convey the mood subconsciously. The last three seasons were a room with the blue curtains and the characters explaining to the audience what the curtains mean while patting themselves on the back for being so good at symbolism
I pretty much agree with you. 1-4 are perfect. 5-6 are awesome and it just keeps getting worse. 7&8 aren’t bad. But mostly because of Emmy Rossum. I wish they could’ve brought back things from the earlier season to close it all up. And Frank dying of covid… one of the most awful decisions I could imagine.
The original has a similar downward trajectory. It stops becoming about the Gallaghers and turns into a show about the McGuire's(They're the counterpart to the Milkovich's btw). Season ten I couldn't even finish initially. The last episode or two save it though. Most of the family come back. Sadly there's no Ian, Debbie or Liam, though.
They left the loose end bc that’s what life is like. Shameless has always tried to reflect some semblance of realism and had shameless had ended with all plot lines tied and done with, it wouldn’t be real. The Gallagher’s problems don’t end for them. They still struggle after the series ends. But I don’t expect ppl to understand that bc of their hatred
@@Idkwhatuser123 No they left the loose ends because they expect the cast to come back for a series of made- for -TV movies, a very dark sick version of all those The Waltons movies every couple of years. The audience is supposed to tune in and find out how these loose ends get resolved with a 'Shameless: The Birth" and "Shameless Family Christmas" Specials.
Here’s my theory/idea of how they could bring it back. Whether it be a movie or another season; It’s been 5-10 years since Frank has died. We see lip and Debbie have made amends and have created their own contracting/construction company, Carl has redeemed himself from his title as “bad luck Carl” on the police force, Liam being successful in his education and maybe either graduating high school/going to college?, Franny has become Frank now (taking on the predecessor title somewhat), and life is actually looking good for the Gallagher family name. Fiona comes back for Frank’s memorial anniversary but really it’s a chance for the Gallagher’s to celebrate. Fiona maybe has her own LLC company out where she moved so she’s successful in her own way (maybe has a boyfriend/girlfriend [always felt like Fiona was being teased in the show to “switch teams” so to speak from her taste in men being so shitty). We see the Gallagher’s having a good time and out of nowhere Lou, Frank’s lawyer, comes to them with a will Frank had made at the beginning when he knew he was slowly losing it. The Gallagher’s are contemplating on bringing Frank and his shit back into his life but secretly Frank created a scavenger hunt for the kids to find the clues to what he left behind and maybe each character has an ending arc with Frank in some way to grieve with all the shit they went through as kids. Maybe each clue for each kid shows a significant memory Frank had with them or even a shitty moment they don’t want to look back on but Frank remembers. Then once they all have made their grievances, the big “treasure/will” is maybe something disappointing yet something of Frank’s caliber to leave them behind that brings them closer together as a family. Like if you think this would be a good idea. Maybe we can get the ending this show deserves!
Shameless is in my top 5 of favorite series ever. The story telling, the character development. The ability to be serious and funny at the same time . The realism (we basically watch the whole family grow up) I also feel like season 9 should have been the last season . It would have been a excellent way to end it. Even tho they planned for her to comeback in 11
11:46 but that makes sense? Fiona knows she can’t add a baby to the mix, especially if it means she’s not working, not providing for the family for any amount of time. She knows a baby is work as she’s already raised so many. Debbie doesn’t and lives in a fantasy world where her having to babysit Liam every once in a while was the extent of motherhood. Fiona made the smart decision for everyone involved, Debbie made the dumb decision for everyone involved, especially her poor kid who even you expect her to abandon by the finale.
Stopped watching this show around season 7 but I remember Season 4 being my favorite by far even tho Jimmy was my favorite character and he was absent in that one
Ha ha, exactly the same mate. Funny init? Gotta say though I love cody leach, me watching this says a lot about him as a reviewer, that I'll watch his videos even if the subject i know sod all about.
I Just finished the whole thing, and overall I really thought it was brilliant. I agree that the final couple of seasons had its complaints, but some of the highlights were just great. I watched the original English version when it was on the telly here (it was very popular in the Uk and here in Ireland), and I loved how the US remake did a superb job in recreating often scene by scene the UK season 1's popular plots and stories. The pilot episode is a direct remake of the UK one and I loved seeing it on a grander, bigger scale and location. It was fascinating. I loved seeing Lip and the gang on extra, fleshed out, new stories that enhanced the characters and arcs that they develop, whilst adding to how they reworked the UK episodes. Brilliant. The US show then goes its own way from s2 onwards, and all the better for it. A new identity and life because it focused on the Gallaghers. If you know the UK one, Fiona leaves in season 2's finale, and over the seasons the Gallagher kids move out, leaving the "Maguires", ( Mickey and Mandys family) take the stage just as much as the remaining Gallaghers. That too was fantastic, but I loved how the US kept it all on the Gallaghers. The UK one is more lewd, crass and OTT comedic alongside the brilliant dark drama. The US one played it more dramatic in many places. Both versions are excellent overall. The UK finale- Frank doesnt get dementia, or die. He gets drunk with his returning family in the local bar, and they all watch the car burn outside, laughing together.
I did not think they treated Fiona very nice in the end. After everything said and done, to see her do so much for the family, only for them to be so hard on her in the end. Yes, she started to hit rock bottom but it didn't seem fair how quick everyone was willing to kick her to the curb. Yes, the scene where Steve Kazee sings his F YOU, FIONA 🎵 🎶 🎵 BEST REVENGE SCENE EVER.
For some reason I feel attached to season 6-9 a lot & 3. I feel like it’s because the other characters were getting much more airplay & stronger stories.
my favourite scene in the show was definatly the bar fight when mickey comes out, it was great: watching terry sit there for 5 seconds before it clicks and he goes into full rage mode is perfection
Great video Cody! I was highly excited when I saw this! About time you did a Shameless specific video. I just started watching the show late last year, and finished in time to watch the last 7 episodes of Season 11 when they 1st aired on Showtime. I'd have to watch it again to rank the Series, but I would unofficially say season 4 is also my favorite season! I was SO disappointed with the last couple of seasons, and super PISSED with the Finale they gave us. Fiona was missed! Maybe they'll bring everyone back for a Showtime movie in a few years and have a true send-off. They could celebrate the 5-year anniversary of Frank's death or something!
Fiona’s character carried this show on its back, she was the heart and soul of the show, and it clearly suffered without her. Emmy Rossum played her excellently and had great chemistry with a lot of the cast (despite her not actually getting along with some of them allegedly lol) and the show just wasn’t built to handle things without her
I think that's the point, life is unpredictable and people lives don't always get closer, exspecally the Gallagher's. They wanted the close the show with a open ending because in life not every question is answered.
shameless is not without flaws but one thing that never wavered is the acting. it is a shame this cast was never really recognized for just how incredible of actors they all were. genuinely one of the best casts of all time
Season 11 has a lot more redeeming qualities than season 10. For example, Mickey surprising Ian on their wedding anniversary. Also - the open ended storylines for the characters left the show open for spinoffs, and even if not, left the audience to imagine their own stories for what happens with the characters. I liked it, but it's an unpopular opinion
Didn't watch Seasons 10 and 11 wasn't going to watch without Fiona even though she wasn't my most favorite character she was so detrimental to every other characters she at least to me felt like she was the show. Also my ranking of favorite characters 1. Gallavich 2. Fiona 3. Kev&V 4. Frank 5. Carl
I started watching the show when season 4 was airing and it was my first season I watched without really knowing the backstory of the characters but I don’t regret it. Here’s my ranking: 1. Season 4 2. Season 1 3. Season 3 4. Season 2 5. Season 7 6. Season 9 7. Season 10 8. Season 8 9. Season 6 10. Season 5 11. Season 11 (Covid, politics, and bad writing ruined the season) If I’m being honest, seasons 10-11 feel like one long season. If the show have ended at season 7, it would have been perfect. Whenever I rewatch the show, I’ll stop when Fiona leaves. The finale felt like another episode with no closure for anyone other than for Frank Also fun fact, the nurse that was tending Frank in the finale was William’s daughter
Seasons 4 and 6 are my favorites. They are probably the darkest Seasons and take the most risks. The show starts to decline with Season 8 and only gets worse for me. I'm mostly indifferent to Season 5, but it does introduce some important elements that come into play in Season 6.
Cody, DAMN! You pocked the season that I felt was the number one season as well. But, damn I cried during this season a bit. I love Fiona and it was so PAINFUL seeing her go through what she went through in this season. Damn. Great ranking, Cody!! I am a fan of Shameless. I would have to say that Shameless and Dexter run neck to neck for me.....
So I've just finished Season 11 and feel frustrated by how open ended it is. I hate that they didn't take the opportunity to develop Carl's story.. and that they turned Debbie into an unlikeable horrible person.. she begins to show signs of a personality disorder because she never found out who she was after having Franny. I'd personally like to see Fiona return to S11 to sell the house as its in her name.. and be there for V and Kev
im pretty sure that the whole point of the ending was that there was no closure? if there was it would defeat the whole point of the show in the first place, that they are random people, who we're randomly watching, coming in and leaving at random points in time. it's not like a regular long-term life show, such as friends, where each character has conflicts and has them resolved by the end of an episode or two. a lot conflicts in shameless take multiple episodes or even seasons to solve.
i was thinking that too! that no matter how much time passes there will always be something crazy going on, which is why i’m somewhat okay with the ending because the creators want you to think that their stories will continue to extend and won’t stop.
I understand the ending and I think it was perfect. Their lives are shamless. The hustle never ends. The show concluded chaos and bedam continued with no end in sight. In other words, life as usual for the Gallagher's. Frank died and in hilariously fitting fashion went straight to hell. What's sad about franks dementia is we don't if he would have ever attempted to repent for his life if he could have. He never had a chance. He had dementia. What is interesting about Ian is Mikey is we don't know if they will stay on the straight an narrow or go back to crime. It's just crazy, it's just, Shameless.
The series finale at the end is supposed to represent how an actual family deals wit death, we never get closure, life goes on, and our main point of view has been frank for the longest
Me too! It could pick up right off where shameless left off complete the storylines of shameless for the first season and season 2 be just them and the mom, the twins and maybe Kermit and Tommy. And it's their life adjusting to Kentucky
I liked everyone in the family, Debbie not so much, like u said after season 5 I didn’t wanna see her on screen wasting the time that better characters with better story arch’s could have been, should have been in my opinion worked on more and showed hers less. The season lip goes off to collage is one of my favourites. This show definitely hit hard. The grounded reality of how life is on the lower income side is like almost perfectly represented. Myself coming from this sort of fam made me really connect to this show. I will definitely be rewatching all the seasons one day for sure. 🤘 awesome video. Always wanted a ranking vid or just to hear someone else’s thoughts on how awesome this show is and spread the show around for new potential viewers. My fav character from first to last: lip, Fiona, kev&V, Carl, Liam, Frank, Ian, Debbie
Oh my fucking God, thank God you guys said that first. I did not like the finale AT ALL. I loved this show for 10 seasons, only to be betrayed by season 11. Fuck season 11, fuck the finale, and fuck Debbie, boring ass Lip.
Started watching at the pilot, but stopped I think after season 7.. S1 and 4 were probably my favorites as well. Lip's whole college experience was really entertaining and a nice change of scenery.. Now remembering Frank getting his organs taken haha.
Idk I still like some of the drama in season 10 and 11. I think they’re overhated and underrated. They’re my comfort seasons after the stress induced earlier seasons. I think it’s time to revisit Shameless on the whole.
Hey Cody, I'm finishing Season 2 so can't watch this video for a while. I'm binging because my gf loves the show and I promised I'd watch it with her, but it's a chore to get through sonetimes. I can do dark comedy, and the acting is really solid, but some of the stuff going on and the character's decisions and lifestyles make me wanna dismiss any hope for humanity, or at the very least take a shower after each episode. Without spoilers, can you tell me, does it get better? Or worse? In terms of having some character arcs or anyone to root for who isn't just making horrible choices? It worked for me in Breaking Bad, watching people make bad choices, maybe because of the tone. This raw, unforgiving look at messed up people isn't meshing with the black comedy vibe for me yet, but I am continue to push through..
Awesome video Cody, didn't see this one coming! Haven't seen season 10 or 11 yet so had to skip those but I'm hoping Lip gets a good ending. First 5 seasons were incredible though😃
I just did a rewatch after having only originally seen seasons 1-9. I agree that the last 2 seasons are incredibly disappointing. The character of Fiona really held Shameless together. It was hard to watch a series that was so great literally fall apart. I would say 1-5 are my favorite seasons, but now it's all blurred together in my mind. I enjoyed the character of Sheila a lot. To your point about the poor way they wrapped up the series, I really wanted to see Lip go back to school or get a job in computers to use his intelligence. They teased about this when he helped that douchey finance guy with his computer/stock trade and then gave Lip a subpar tip. He also delivered meals to what looked like a hip and young start up company and Lip looked nostalgic. I always wanted more for Lip and I really loathed the character of Tami. She was the most unlikable character imo. Still a great series, great world building and characters but I won't ever rewatch seasons 10 or 11!
Great ranking Cody and that's awesome that your a Shameless fan. I still need to watch season 11. My favorite season Is season 4. I think the first 4 seasons and season 6 were fantastic, seasons 5 and 7 were good and seasons 8,9 and 10 were fun but the writing was weaker and there was def a dip in quality.
I watched this show multiple times haven’t seen season 10 and 11 season 4 easily my favorite I think it’s where frank is sick and I love the scene where Carl takes him out and Fiona going to jail and all that stuff was so well written and it was great seeing lip balance everything first 4 were amazing and 6 which is my second favorite 7 and 8 were pretty good and enjoyable 9 was meh but I know my ranking would probably go like this 1.Season 4 2.Season 6 3.Season 3 4.Season 2 5.Season 1 6.Season 5 7.Season 7 8.Season 8 9.Season 9
I've started Season 9 but I haven't finished it. I really want to wrap the show, even though I know it's going to get a lot worse. I agree, too - Season 4 is definitely the best season. Among my friends who watch the show, they think after the Fiona incident with Liam is really when the show started going downhill. I wouldn't go that far, but the show definitely had a different feel after that point.
completely agree with your number 1, season 4 was just on a whole other level one of my favourite seasons of TV ever unsure how I would completely rank the rest but agree the first 4 seasons would be in my top 4 and for me the final season would probably be last such a disappointment to go out on
The main reason why Emmy Rossum left the series was reportedly paid less than William H. Macy, even though they had equal pay. She requested more pay and additional compensation to make up for past discrepancies, but wanted to pursue new creative opportunities and said that it was time for the character to spread her wings. Emmy also stated in an interview that she would never say goodbye to Fiona. Rumor has it that on the set she didn't really get along with her co-star with her bad attitude as well. I think the character Carl had the best and amazing character growth. The writers made him very successful who made something out of his life.
Similar to Stabler leaving SVU, the Shameless show runners should’ve never let Emmy Rossum go. If the rumors are true and she left bc of money, that’s a shame.
Another amazing top 10 of one of my favorite shows of all time! Great job! I actually visited the houses from this show in the South Side of Chicago and yes it's as bad as it appears!
My gut is that they left things open because they are hopeful on returning in a few years. When you tie thing up its... hard to untie things that might not work for a return.
Not going to lie - Shameless is a guilty pleasure : ) I love it. My favorite, of course, is Fiona. ..Kevin....Lip...Ian...Carl. I loved Debs in the first couple seasons...same with Jimmy Steve 😍 the characters I love to hate??? FRANK , Monica, Karen, older Debbie .....and all of Fionas boyfriends! LoL I think its safe to say the first 5 seasons are the best.
Shameless talk? LET'S GOOOOOO. I'll admit the show lost me over the recent seasons. But I absolutely adored it at a point in time. So I will always remember it fondly overall.
Love you channel man! I I actually found his last season to be better than Season 10. William H Macy completely crushed frank having dementia aspect of the season, and the finale I felt work because Frank is our main character of the show. Respect your opinion tho and look forward to more videos!
Personally I think all the seasons of shameless were good I think season 9 was a good time for Fiona to leave as I was kinda getting bored of her self sabotage, honestly my favourite parts of the last two seasons was Liam's relationship with Frank I know Frank isn't supposed to be a good dad but in the last few episodes it would've been nice for Frank to show Liam that he loved him as Liam and him seemed to have a relatively normal relationship for the last few seasons
I thought maybe kev and vee would have a spinoff because they were basically distant from the gallaghers during the last two seasons and had a bunch of they're own storylines going on
Great ranking. I actually stopped watching halfway through season 10 because it had just fell apart too much for me. But those early seasons we're fantastic. What do you think of Sons of Anarchy? Would make for a good ranking video as well.
Honestly when i watched season 11 i was surprised to find out it was the finale cause i was expecting another season. It didnt seem like it closed together well
I’m completely shocked over season 4 being number one. I hated that season. Every character I hated, every story line I hated, just a very unpleasant season that didn’t even feel like shameless
What I hate the most about fiona downfall is lip. Yeah whatever he got high standard for her but could he give her a break, a moment of help before she broke parole? And how everyone watch her screw jimmy (really didn’t like him pooping up just to ruin Fiona marriage and leaving should had just ended up dead) and they all saying “no Fiona no”. Like they hurt people before and would had done it. So just seeing their very broken sister who gave up everything get no help and only get screamed at for messing up really didn’t sit well. And wished debb left like her UK counter part because I did not like her at all
Who's your favorite and least favorite"Shameless" character? Me: Favorite's: Mickey, Frank, Steve and Carl. Kev and V too. Least favorites: Fiona, Karen, Debbie.
I hated how towards the end, no one helped Fiona despite her doing EVERYTHING for that family. And in the final seasons, she's basically forgotten. I'm still pissed that in Frank's final monologue he doesn't even mention her.

To be fair, he was still heartbroken she left him, and he still had dementia
I realize I am kinda randomly asking but does anyone know a good place to stream new tv shows online ?
@Kaleb Roberto lately I have been using flixzone. Just google for it :)
@Colton Mathew yea, been using FlixZone for since march myself :D
I’ve always wondered who Debbie pissed off on the set because the writers destroyed her character. She became the most hated person.
I found that they were trying to reflect Monica’s mental illness in Debbie, hense the unwinding of her character, but that’s just me 🤷🏼♂️
@@robfield6697yes! In the last episode, franks note says that Debbie reminded him the most of Monica, and he states “not in a good way”

Come on we all know that white boy Carl is the best character
I am a fan of the original show. My favourite character in that was probably Micky. He's way different than his American counterpart. He's really insecure and kind of pathetic.
Same. He was the most realistic and best written. Debbie, Carl, and Liam were the opposite.
The first 4 seasons were fantastic and addicting
Season 8 and 10 felt like a chore ngl
Season 5 is also really damn good
Amen. They really knew how to write great drama to balance all the chaotic comedy in those first 4. Everything after was pretty goofy and uninteresting.
true
Yea 1-4 definitely

I really wish season 9 would have been the last. Such a great ending with Fiona at least and nobody would have been as disappointed with it like this season🤢🤮
Season 9 was the worst
They should have ended it when Frank's liver stopped functioning and killed him off then instead of giving him a transplant(i think this was s5)
S9 was terrible, show set up So more for Fiona's downward spiral just for her to face next to no consequences. Drunked hit n run, dropped next episode, trustpassing w assault and caught after running WHEN she was still on probation, nevermind not even a fine
Totally agree. Micky as a bridzilla was beautiful. THE GOLD CHAIRS!!!! 😂
ITS MY FUCKING WEDDING I SPECIFICALLY SAID THE GOLD CHAIRS!!!! lmao
Shameless is the only show I wish I could watch again for the first time
Watch Breaking Bad :) it’s my other favorite show. Probably number one but I love Shamless as well.
Yes
@@owenyoung9915 agreed! I love dramadies/tragedies like Breaking Bad, Shameless, Bojack Horseman, Ozark, etc. best type of series
U could watch the UK one if u haven't watched the original the first season is kinda the same but different with the other 10 seasons
For me it is game of thrones too
Helped? I did it all Frank. That's my finale to the show. Still one of the best series I've ever watched.
The quality drop of the last few seasons hurt but I hated how the show lost all subtlety starting at season 9. Of course the show had political and social stuff but it was always part of the world.
The only bright side of season 10-11 is Ian and Mickey would totally watch their spin off
Agreed on everything about S11, felt like the writers left all these loose ends so they can reboot the show in 10 years.
@@BTURNER1961you’re just making this shit up lol, it’s just an ambiguous ending
Never knew you were into Shameless. I agree big time with your ranking! Emmy Rossum not returning just didnt settle right with me.
Covid-19 threw a wrench into her returning for the finale
@@christophermarabella5683 really
@@christophermarabella5683 covid has been the excuse for a lot of things lately
Just a shame they couldn't have filmed a quick scene where Fiona is settled in a new place while Frank talks about her
Here’s my theory/idea of how they could bring it back. Whether it be a movie or another season;
It’s been 5-10 years since Frank has died.
This is the only channel I've seen that mentions anything about Shameless.
Yeah not enough good places to go to watch videos about Shameless on TH-cam
Honestly, I didn’t mind season 11. Obviously didn’t have a great finale but I still found enjoyment.
Season 4 is my favorite as well because I believe the show works better with more drama than comedy. Seasons 1,2,4 and 9 are my favorites.
Shameless is in my top 5 of favorite series ever.
The story telling, the character development.
The ability to be serious and funny at the same time .
The realism (we basically watch the whole family grow up)
I also feel like season 9 should have been the last season . It would have been a excellent way to end it. Even tho they planned for her to comeback in 11
Curious what are your other favourite series need ideas
@@anniesmolkin7685 Peaky blinders Board walk empire snowfall Sex education black summer
I think they were gonna end it on season 9 because it's the longest season
What’s the other 4?
Just curious
I'm curious, would you be interested in a spin off following characters like Ian and Mickey, Kev and V?
Nope
@@CodyLeachYT Yes
Yes maybe some franny and don't forget the liam
11:46 but that makes sense? Fiona knows she can’t add a baby to the mix, especially if it means she’s not working, not providing for the family for any amount of time. She knows a baby is work as she’s already raised so many. Debbie doesn’t and lives in a fantasy world where her having to babysit Liam every once in a while was the extent of motherhood. Fiona made the smart decision for everyone involved, Debbie made the dumb decision for everyone involved, especially her poor kid who even you expect her to abandon by the finale.
We need a Fiona spinoff!!!
That finale was shameful!!!
Lol damn right. I'm ashamed!😃 of Fiona send off
Stopped watching this show around season 7 but I remember Season 4 being my favorite by far even tho Jimmy was my favorite character and he was absent in that one
I hate when shiela left the shoe 😭 “YOU’RE COOCH SMELLS LIKE BRIMSTONE & SULFURRR” 😂😂😂
Never seen a single episode of this show, but I’m still gonna watch the video.
Ha ha, exactly the same mate. Funny init? Gotta say though I love cody leach, me watching this says a lot about him as a reviewer, that I'll watch his videos even if the subject i know sod all about.
4:40 yes though ian and mickeys stories are still kind of left unfinised since ian was literally like "lets adopt a child" like?😭
Great ranking brother. Would love to see a ranking of Sons Of Anarchy ( My all time favourite), Shield or Supernatural. All amazing shows.
I would love to see him review supernatural
Great way to end the day with more great content from the man himself.
First 5 seasons were amazing, sadly I thought it declined each season after
Agreed! The later seasons had so many forgettable characters just come and go with no impact.
@@mtb5431 yup! And some of the story lines were just so forgettable
I'm on S9 now, gotta get back into it so I can finish the series. It took my brother pulling teeth to get me to watch. Now I'm hooked. Great video✌
I think Carl should get his own show, he is the most interesting character in the show for me
Never seen this show, but just found your channel and have been bingeing. Thanks for the great content!
You should do a shameless character ranking! I would love to see it
I agree!!!
So true about Debbie, i ended up hating her character, the others, i hate what they did but still cheering for them at the same time
I wish Debbie didn't tell everyone about Fiona's check. She should've just told Carl, Ian, Lip & Liam
Didn't watch Seasons 10 and 11 wasn't going to watch without Fiona even though she wasn't my most favorite character she was so detrimental to every other characters she at least to me felt like she was the show. Also my ranking of favorite characters 1. Gallavich 2. Fiona 3. Kev&V 4. Frank 5. Carl
This show is soooo uncomfortable but realistic.I Love It
I started watching the show when season 4 was airing and it was my first season I watched without really knowing the backstory of the characters but I don’t regret it. Here’s my ranking:
1. Season 4
2. Season 1
3. Season 3
4. Season 2
5. Season 7
6. Season 9
7. Season 10
8. Season 8
9. Season 6
10. Season 5
11. Season 11 (Covid, politics, and bad writing ruined the season)
If I’m being honest, seasons 10-11 feel like one long season. If the show have ended at season 7, it would have been perfect. Whenever I rewatch the show, I’ll stop when Fiona leaves. The finale felt like another episode with no closure for anyone other than for Frank
Also fun fact, the nurse that was tending Frank in the finale was William’s daughter
Whats wrong with season 5?
I'd personally like to see Fiona return to S11 to sell the house as its in her name.. and be there for V and Kev
im pretty sure that the whole point of the ending was that there was no closure? if there was it would defeat the whole point of the show in the first place, that they are random people, who we're randomly watching, coming in and leaving at random points in time. it's not like a regular long-term life show, such as friends, where each character has conflicts and has them resolved by the end of an episode or two. a lot conflicts in shameless take multiple episodes or even seasons to solve.
the point of the intro being "heres what happened on shameless last week" is a satire of shows who's characters act like they are in a show.
i was thinking that too! that no matter how much time passes there will always be something crazy going on, which is why i’m somewhat okay with the ending because the creators want you to think that their stories will continue to extend and won’t stop.
I would love to see a 'Kev & V' spinoff!
Me too! It could pick up right off where shameless left off complete the storylines of shameless for the first season and season 2 be just them and the mom, the twins and maybe Kermit and Tommy. And it's their life adjusting to Kentucky
I was going to ask you to review this series but it seems you already did! Nice
Excited for this video. Did not enjoy the last season at all, terrible finale
Agreed
Oh my fucking God, thank God you guys said that first. I did not like the finale AT ALL. I loved this show for 10 seasons, only to be betrayed by season 11. Fuck season 11, fuck the finale, and fuck Debbie, boring ass Lip.
Oh wow. I absolutely LOVED the final season. Fantastic show from start to finish.
Still need to see the final season but great ranking man!
Thanks man keep your expectations low.
Season 5 is underrated and in my top 3
I was all agree until I saw season 2 at #4. It’s literally the best summer possible.
Would love to see more review and rankings for TV shows. The first 5 seasons of Shameless were great.
Really wish that Lip would have ended up with Mandy or Sierra. Tami didn’t really add anything to the show.
Agreed
I liked Tami especially in the beginning when she would crush Lip’s ego. Sierra wasn’t interesting at all but Mandy was.
I watched this show multiple times haven’t seen season 10 and 11 season 4 easily my favorite I think it’s where frank is sick and I love the scene where Carl takes him out and Fiona going to jail and all that stuff was so well written and it was great seeing lip balance everything first 4 were amazing and 6 which is my second favorite 7 and 8 were pretty good and enjoyable 9 was meh but I know my ranking would probably go like this
1.Season 4
2.Season 6
3.Season 3
4.Season 2
5.Season 1
6.Season 5
7.Season 7
8.Season 8
9.Season 9
I've started Season 9 but I haven't finished it. I really want to wrap the show, even though I know it's going to get a lot worse. I agree, too - Season 4 is definitely the best season. Among my friends who watch the show, they think after the Fiona incident with Liam is really when the show started going downhill. I wouldn't go that far, but the show definitely had a different feel after that point.
Emmy Rossum is the best part of the show
completely agree with your number 1, season 4 was just on a whole other level one of my favourite seasons of TV ever unsure how I would completely rank the rest but agree the first 4 seasons would be in my top 4 and for me the final season would probably be last such a disappointment to go out on
The main reason why Emmy Rossum left the series was reportedly paid less than William H.
My favorite moment was when at the end of season 4 frank yells up to god and sips his liquor and stands there with his arm around carl
Another amazing top 10 of one of my favorite shows of all time! Great job! I actually visited the houses from this show in the South Side of Chicago and yes it's as bad as it appears!
carl and mickey will always be my favourite characters
My gut is that they left things open because they are hopeful on returning in a few years. When you tie thing up its... hard to untie things that might not work for a return.
at least i now know im not the only one obssessed with fiona
Season 7 (with a bit of a few extra tweaks) would have been a fantastic finale for the show.
Love you channel man! I I actually found his last season to be better than Season 10. William H Macy completely crushed frank having dementia aspect of the season, and the finale I felt work because Frank is our main character of the show.
Respect your opinion tho and look forward to more videos!
I agree it's better but only by a sliver
Personally I think all the seasons of shameless were good I think season 9 was a good time for Fiona to leave as I was kinda getting bored of her self sabotage, honestly my favourite parts of the last two seasons was Liam's relationship with Frank I know Frank isn't supposed to be a good dad but in the last few episodes it would've been nice for Frank to show Liam that he loved him as Liam and him seemed to have a relatively normal relationship for the last few seasons
I thought maybe kev and vee would have a spinoff because they were basically distant from the gallaghers during the last two seasons and had a bunch of they're own storylines going on
Season 2 My favorite Fiona deserved better family was ungrateful as hell
so i was pretty drugged up on oxy half the time but I was crying so much during season four because it was so emotional
i’m sorry but being druzzled on oxy while binging shameless has a hilarious amount of irony to me
your analysis of season 11 was spot on...
Omg I’m surprised to see you ranking shameless!!!! It’s my favorite show!!!
You have a bit of a hard-on for Fiona, tbh. But you are 90% right IMO. Your thoughts about S11 were really on-point.
Great ranking. I actually stopped watching halfway through season 10 because it had just fell apart too much for me. But those early seasons we're fantastic. What do you think of Sons of Anarchy? Would make for a good ranking video as well.
SOA is Great!
Just finished the pilot. God I'm hooked!
Just Like the Pilgrims Intended was probably my favorite episode of the series.
Me:
Favorite's: Mickey, Frank, Steve and Carl. Kev and V too.
Least favorites: Fiona, Karen, Debbie.
Favorites are Fiona, Lip, and Kevin
Least favorite is Debbie though I will say the last 4 seasons or so I grew burnt out on Ian and Frank.
