My dad bought a Kubota KF walk behind rotary hoe in 1970 and I still use it. twenty years ago I bought a 20 year old ex rice paddy b7001. It has original paint and I like the original owner has always been kept in a barn. They are a brilliant machine.

I’ve been die hard Toyota/Kubota since a young kid my grandpa had the old school (new back then) Toyota 4x4 pickup and Kubota 4x4 tractor. This was back in the mid 80s and one of my cousins still uses that Kubota tractor and old school Toyota 4x4 are known to be the ultimate off road machine indestructible!!
I now own 1 and it took me forever to find a good one. 1990 Toyota 4x4 pickup 22RE
    and a 88 Kubota L2850DT 4x4.
Both will serve me well to I’m in the ground.

Very interesting story, thanks for sharing! I’ve got a B5100 4x4 that my father-in-law bought new in ‘83. It’s an absolute tank. Good luck trying to break yours. Mine goes months at a time without being touched, fires right up and runs like a top! I don’t think it’s ever needed a single repair in 40 years.

Being a B7100 owner... I'm right there with you. In North America

I just bought a 1990 Kubota L2250, midsize compact tractor. I looked for a while before I found what I wanted. No electronics, 3 cylinder diesel that will pull a house. Most new tractors are trash, full of mother boards and electronics, no switches or knobs. I love it, great tractor and super reliable.

I have the big brother to your 2250 1988 L2850DT, the Kubota L series of that era are just absolutely indestructible.
And you’re so right in low gear they will pull anything!!!

I bought a used B 6000 25 years ago. Good luck with trying to break your Old Kubota. I’ve been trying to break mine for years and never have.

The pinnacle of Japanese quality was in the 80s through about 1994 in the automotive industry. They’ve really let things slip on their vehicles today. I’ve worked for Toyota/Honda for almost 30 years and Honda has really gone to crap compared to previous years.
Our leader sold us out for their own gain. Right now we have a paid employee of China in the White House.

I agree I’m sick and tired of junk. I came across a kubota b1700 wich is to new for you but it fits my bill a lot better than the newer stuff and just a capable and more
    Reliable.

I just bought a used B5100 4X4 that’s what I brought me here. Sad how far America and Canada lost our manufacturing. But we’re to blame we wanted cheap merchandise. At least my 2018 Chevy was made in Canada

I'm going to film a ride on a Chinese-made bicycle soon and talk a bit more about this exact thing. Our thirst for low prices has us in this position today.

Got ya my man. I’m of the same thoughts as you.
    Picking up a b5100E Saturday.....
Garage kept very clean. Front tires are bald.......
    Guy agreed to $1200 bucks.

You won't regret it. I've worked this little tractor harder than I should have, and it's just keeps on performing like new! You got a screamin' deal. I offered a guy $2000 for a 2nd one but he turned me down. Sold quickly for his asking price of $2400.

I don't believe there was a tractor of this class built in America that could compete with the 5100.
