    The fact that y’all made it work in that small space for months is incredible. I’m looking at this model for just me and my dog. Makes me feel a lot better about the decision.
    You’re not trailer trash. You’re smart as hell.

      Thank you for the kind words! It definitely was an adventure 😀. There are so many things people do with these models when they go solo or a couple. Our dogs slept on the "bed" that the table and benches make, but many people remove the top bunk and use the bottom as their fur baby's bed or even both for more storage (adding shelving or a closet). There is so much potential in this little thing and it's so affordable! Good luck on your decision!

      The kids were excited when we bought it, but became less excited after they realized they couldn't bring all their things 🤣

    I like that the A/C appears to be a standard model that is easily replaced. Very nice!

    • @thehomeschoolcampers7204
      @thehomeschoolcampers7204  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes! It has its perks. Being standard is an easy and inexpensive fix, but because it's in the corner, it makes for a difficult to cool opposite end. Some years of the 17B have the ceiling ac, which is a more difficult fix, but cools a little more evenly. Give and take either way!

      We thought about that when we bought our 17B a year ago.
      If the AC goes out, it is a $150 trip to Walmart to replace it.
      We also found that it is difficult to get the AC to cool the entire space, especially all the way to the bunk beds.
      We solved this with a fan placed on the countertop, aimed upwards. This circulates the air throughout, well.

    I'm looking into one. Bc due to rents and housing being so high. I'm now facing homelessness. I just hope my credit score will be ok. Bc I have nobody to co-sign. and if I don't get this.... when one is available. Then I'm homeless. But I am concerned with the winters bc at first, I can't tow it, I have a vehicle that can't tow that weight so I have to buy 2 things. A trailer and a used truck. Bc it's cheaper than a class c. If I could diy my own. I'd do that, but that's not happening.
    My husband is an electrician- you're more than welcomed to park on our land while it's ours! & if you need electrical done. He will do it. Lord knows I'll be making him do extra. I just have no use for the bunks really, so I figure it'll be a good place for a dog! And storing totes on the top one. But I can't find anything with the queen, and no bunks. I did see one, and never found it again. So this is what makes the most sense. I'm just concerned about the winter months. Is it warm enough?

      @@TarotWitch_Strega we'll pray for your situation ❤️, that's rough for sure. I'd suggest trying to find a used one first if you can't afford to pay right out from a third party, maybe you'll luck out at a dealership.
      As far as the winters it really depends on where you are. We're in TN and when we tested it out the heater held it's own, but I've heard way up north in the middle of winter is a different story for long-term use. The ones with the bunks are really easy to modify, so if your husband is handy he shouldn't have a problem removing the bottom bunk to make a good space for your dogs. Our first car wasn't supposed to tow it, but we managed for three months until we could buy a truck. We had a Kia Sorento and the weight exceeded just slightly.
      Good luck to you all!

    Am I mistaken or was that a seperate shower pan,aka a dry bath?

    • @thehomeschoolcampers7204
      @thehomeschoolcampers7204  ปีที่แล้ว

      The shower is separate from the toilet. There is no drain on the floor, only in the slightly elevated shower area. If I understood your question properly... (I had to look up dry bath)

      My sister doesn't agree with homeschooling either, but she's a teacher. Agreed, they don't get as much socialization as a traditional school setting, but we find other ways. Also, I did well in school, have 2 degrees and really care about the curriculum I choose for them. If I ever feel like their education is suffering we will consider traditional school. My son will be starting high school next year and I did give him the choice, but he wants to keep going as we are. I am curious as to your reasons against homeschooling if you want to share.
