@@cliveeariss880 Hi Clive, I do so love pike fishing and I'm spoilt with the beautiful Wye valley to explore. Thank you kindly for your fantastic support.
What a refreshing change, a fishing video that doesn’t have some rabbiting about ‘like subscribe’ ad nauseum, who needs commentary fishing? and he didn’t carry the entire contents of a tackle shop like some do. More please! And please dont change it, it’s not broke. ( subscribed btw!)
Hi Mike, Many thanks for watching and especially for taking the time to comment. I can assure you the only thing that will be changing will be the species of fish so your sub is safe with me, thanks again.
Hi @@ianmiller865 Thank you so much that is very, very kind of you .I am truly humbled by everyone's support but this channel is nothing without an audience.
Thanks for sharing. When I watch your videos it always feels like I'm there on the bank, just sat quietly taking it all in. Brilliant format. Keep the videos coming.
@@silentangling No problem, credit where it's due. I've been having a 'binge' watch of your content. I fished the Wye once last year and hope to get back this year. It's a very special river.
@@anotherangleUK Thank you so much for your time in watching. I recently watched your Scotland Pike trip and it's pricked my curiosity for venturing north especially if I can fish some of the quieter hidden places. Thanks again for your contribution.
Hi Richard, Id like to say the netting of the fish was down to skill but it was more due to the camera being on and me being terrified of losing it. Thank you for your time in both watching and commenting, its very much appreciated as not only does it help the channel grow but i find it great source of inspiration.
Hi, Many thanks for watching and especially for taking the effort to comment. It's a cheap centrepin especially secondhand and make short range pike fishing great fun.
@silentangling I thought it was great using a center pin for pike fishing! You were the first person I've watched pike fishing with a center pin and it looked like great fun!👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼
Hi Ian, This is filmed on the river Wye in Hereford (HDAA day tickets) . The Wye valley is truly beautiful and well worth a visit not just for fishing, it's a fabulous river if you enjoy a bit of canoeing (85 miles) or hiking (136 miles) as you can walk it from source to see and almost follow the entire river. I hope to be able to share so much more of it over the coming months. Thank you as always for taking the time to comment its really helping the channel grow.
I enjoyed that. Ironically I sorted out my pike gear yesterday planning to go to a local lake for the morning today, only to wake up to minus 1, and freezing cold NE winds, so cried off 😮 It actually snowed later so I have to confess I didn’t miss it.
Thank you so much for watching and taking the time to comment. I'm keeping everything crossed for a snowy pike this winter. I do hope you can make a pike video as it'll be great to hear your views/advice on the species
Hi Jozse, Thank you for watching and taking the time to comment. The pin is the Shakespeare Lincoln, always pop up on eBay. Not a stick float pin and they haven't got a ratchet but are a good cheap alternative the Ray Walton
I haven't been pike fishing for a few years now and have only fished small stillwaters. I live within a fairly short distance of the wye, but didn't know where to start.
Hi Stuart, Many thanks for taking the time to both watch and especially comment. If you want to have a good chance of a Wye Pike you won't go far wrong than heading for the town stretch between by the Rowing club, both banks will produce pike but you'll need to pick your day as it gets busy. The sections featured in this film were Belmont and Mordiford, hope this helps. I'll be filming a winter pike episode soon as my technique differs as the temps drop plus I really want a snowy pike. Thanks again for your contribution.

Massive kudos for hiting a 1000 subs. Thank you for watching and the great question. My line of choice is Diawa Sensor as I'll change about 100 yds every few session due to line twist. The pin is a good tool for when you want to keep a bait moving. Thanks again for your support.

Although I fish exclusively for barbel I enjoyed this video! Two nice pike, well done. I thought I recognised the beat but was a bit confused about the direction of the flow, it was mostly flowing right to left although it appeared to be left to right at one stage.
Hi, @@harryturner3063 I appreciate you watching and please stay with me over the next few months as I don't think we'll be seeing a barbel until March. This was filmed on HDAA waters, starting up at Belmont/ Warham and finishing down at Mordiford. Thanks as always for your support.
Oh did not see this one, fantastic, the sound of the water, the lighting, and the moment, this is the world of fishing, heart pumping stuff.

Nice relaxing video with the best netting of pike I've seen on TH-cam. Just gently playing the fish over the net and lift, no panic, spot on 👍.
