Brushing chow furs while wet is not advisable as it will easily break. Best to brush gently when dry with the right comb/brushes. Hair/fur strands are stronger when dry.

I wish that this video covered the difference between an open faced Chow (before club breeding) and closed face chow. This video doesn't provide the most accurate onfo, so caution.
You forgot to mention they are pretty territorial especially with new people coming inside their space

That is a wrong info. Chows can live up to 15-18 years. It all depends on several factors like lineage/or family history,, environment, food and supplements, vet care, owner's care regimen, how you treat your chow, etc.
Dont be misled by smart-alecks pretending to have deep knowledge of a particular breed. You can search yourself the webpage of AKC, google, view chow2 101 at youtube or your local canine clubs..

Nice video! One fact that needs to be changed...please do not shave your Chow unless there is some sort of skin disease that needs treatment. Their coat keeps them cool in summer and warm in winter.
