Back then in Nigeria as a pre teen by 82, I used to be scared stiff when the bad guys giant Ox Baker, Bull like "wicked men" Dick the Bulldog Brower, Eric The Red, Ivan Koloff,Ernie Ladd and the Mongols would take some of the smaller and slimmer opponents like the young Argentina Apollo , Dino Bravo, etc always scared the hell out of me...Eric the Red with his big cow bone , Brower biting the already terrified weaker opponent and Ladd maiming with his thumb fitted sharp object. None of them scared me like the 6" 7 315 Ib Ox Baker. Now I realised that some of those so called wicked men were just acting out a script and that some of them were loving and warm family men. R.i.p. to Brower and some of them who passed on for providing great entertainment with awe inspiring suspense. How I wished I went to the stadium in 1982 when Cowboy Bob Ellis and Big Tex Mckenzie kicked the butts of the Mongols in my state capital in Nigeria😂😂😂😂. U was shocked to see Bolo Mongol's IWA reminiscent interview.. .a real gentleman in his early 60s. Wow!!
I love how the guy talking to Ox can't hold it together, so Ox leans in on his promo to try and get him to laugh. If this was prerecorded, I would love to see the outtakes.
That was Bob Elson, the Commander, a baseball announcer from the beginning years of radio. He's a HoF'er, but by 1973 Elson was finished and was hired by Bob Luce, Chicago wrestling's salesman. Elson was also "color" commentator on WMAQ Black Hawks radio, but added nothing to the broadcasts except time checks and repeating what Lloyd Petitt just said.

I know one celebrity that was thankful he never got it was Bob Barker when Ox was on the Price is Right in 1981.
