It was more interesting to listen to back then. Things were much different, now one corporation can own a huge block of stations in one radio market. I never thought they should have let that happen. Thanks for uploading.
Some sound fuzzy because the guy taping them was in Cleveland and some stations were fairly far away..Plus some are just old..I don't have the ability to "clean up" sound on these so you hear what's there..
I never knew that radio stations signed off at night; I knew that TV stations signed off until about 15, maybe 20 years ago before a lot of stations began going 24/7.

I vaguely remember WOIO Canton on AM1060
Extraordinary. I grew up in the Pittsburgh area, and just got a little homesick listening to these!
Great collection of classic jingles.

Thank you for uploading this.
I think this is cool, just like I remember...some close some way out there!
See how bad it was before FM channels and the Internet. I remember this as a kid, terrible reception everywhere.

EricEbac22 TV stations still go "off the air" at night. That's when they start pumping snake oil infomercials and exercise equipment nobody wants.
There’s one station I know that still signs Off. WTNS-FM in Coshocton Ohio. I know because I lived in Coshocton for nearly all my life
WKLM FM in Millersburg, Ohio also signs off usually at Midnight.
Love it!
