Could listen to this guy all day long ! Great interviewee and great interviewer .
"What we do in life echoes in Eternity"
I work in the movies and a couple of the older workers worked on Gladiator 1 , after the film had wrapped Russel Crowe made a pub in the studio and had a party for all the crew! 🎉 they all said how much of a nice guy he was.
What a voice !!
Russel seems so humble. And I feel it would be a blast to have him at a good Southern BBQ.
What is wild, too, is Michaelangelo was primarily a sculptor, lol.
Michelangelo is an artist, not a sculpture.
@derbigpr500 Yeah, you are right. I can not spell🥴. Fixed it...
At first, I thought “Joepedia” was stenciled on Russel Crowe’s shirt! Hahahahaha!
“Before there’s another one, and that water is muddied…” haha, he knows the original should have been left alone…. We don’t need sequels to everything.
Gladiator was amazing in theater. It is one of those movies that just gets the testosterone pumping.
The Only thing I love more than Rome laying it all out all Classy for Russel is how much Russel genuinely appreciates this! Love that movie!
You’re leaving out my favorite, Master and Commander.
Reminds me, I have that on DVD, might have to fire it up this evening, it has been a few years since I have watched M and C. Also maybe the "Insider".
Agreed. Almost as good as Gladiator.
If there is a movie who didn't need to be tainted by a sequel was this one!
More often than not, less is more.
Russell went full Zeus there ⚡️
It’s true. He gave arguably the greatest hero performance of all time
That was a slight dig at the new Gladiator film eh?
Rightfully so. You should know when you've made something absolutely magnificient and let it be its own.
Yeah I mean there's no way it's going to be as good as the original. It's impossible.
Deservedly so. The trailer was soulless dogshit
I don’t think he intended it like that. By “muddied” he means that the focus on him will inevitably soften with the arrival of a new movie and new generation of players.
He’s an influential industry figure and wouldn’t throw shade on a project that isn’t started yet.
@@meofnz2320 The movie , Gladiator 2 is already done filming etc just waiting on release
“Muddied” Sir, you played probably the greatest movie hero in history. Ain’t nothing getting muddied lol
What a great story! Maximus!!
Crowe is an amazing story teller! very nice
This guy should play Santa Clause in a comedy action.
His Voice man, His Voice. OMG 😍
Women and feminist were so bias when Russell Crowe's character was a strong masculine character. Its only toxic masculinity when its not on their terms. Woman in all walks of life want a man like in the film Gladiator.
I don’t know what’s wrong with you but I hope it gets better.
@@TheAfterglowProject Gladiator is one of the greatest films in the last 30 years. Women were all aroused by his manliness and men wanted to be his character. This is the kind of man women still want today but dont even know they do
@@healer81 why are you saying all of this? Nothing in the video even hinted at what you’re talking about. Russel Crowe was talking about getting to see the Sistine Chapel alone with his kids.
@@TheAfterglowProject the gladiator film was so important to people because of his acting and how he carried the character. He captured the romantic idea of the pride mythos of the culture.
What is this comment? This video makes no reference to women or “feminism”. You’ve just ranted about something that’s a complete non-issue in the world. I hope you get help if this is your obsession
This goes to show that movies, good movies, touch the soul of people. Wonderful story.
Gladiator is the best movie ever made
u did not watch alot of movies i guess.its awesome. east top 10-20 but not the best
Legendary actor he deserves all the praise he gets
I realized that the secret to making a million is saving for a better investment. I always tell myself you don't need that new Maserati or that vacation just yet. That mindset helped me make more money investing. For example last year I invested 30k in crypto and made about $246k, but guess what? I put it all back and traded again and now I am rounding up close to a million.❤❤❤
Investing has proven to be an incredibly beneficial decision. My cryptocurrency profits continue to play a substantial role in growing my overall wealth, reducing my reliance on my salary...
You're correct!! I make a lot of money without relying on the government. Investing in stocks and digital currencies is beneficial at this moment
The wisest thing that should be on everyone mind currently should be to invest in different streams of income that doesn't depend on government paycheck, especially with the current economic crisis around the world. This is still a time to invest in Stocks, Forex and Digital currencies.
I'm new to cryptocurrency and don't understand how it really works. how Can someone know the right approach to investing and making good profits from cryptocurrency investments?
As a beginner investor, it's essential for you to have a mentor to keep you accountable. Myself, I'm guided by Harvey Barrett FX, A widely known crypto consultant!
The Vatican guy gave the best reason ever: he is Maximus, king of Rome… long live the king!
After they watched The Pope’s Exorcist & The Exorcism he’s probably been excommunicated 😂
Don't worry, noone saw the popes exorcist
I watched it on the train. Thought it was okay
As a Roman I can confirm that Russell Crowe is considered a fucking legend here
Russell doesn't give himself enough credit for Gladiator. He mostly came up with the script and screenplay himself by improving.
That movie was so incredibly good.. beautiful
Are you not entertained 😂
If I saw Russell Crowe in Rome I too would hail the great General Maximus Decimus Meridius of the Felix Legions, Commander of the Armies of the North.
That´s the voice he used for Zeus in Thor 4.
Also same accent for The Popes Exorcist
Im here to tell you all after seeing g2 on Weds in London.
There are no muddied waters at all.
There is not threat whatsoever to Crow being King of Rome.
Ahhh good to hear❤🙏🏻
im seeing comments about the "dig" comment on the new gladiator movie... i didnt see it that way. I saw it as like him being replaced so he will lose his status to the italians if the new movie takes off and the spotlight would be on the new Maximus. Or am i wrong lol
Spot on. He knows that if Ridley Scott has gone back to it then it's likely to be a blockbuster because Scott has turned down multiple offers to direct a sequel over the last 20 years because the script wasn't good enough and didn't want to besmirch the original.
@justonecornetto80 Have you not seen what he has done to the Alien series lol? You seriously believe that this will be any different? All Ridley has made is piles of trash these past years. Prometheus/Alien Covenant/Napoleon and I honestly could care less about Romulus. So let's not act like Ridley has some sort of care about original works lol
He meant it as the second way but there is no way they would replace him because that movie looks like garbage.
Ridley hasn't made a good movie in 20 years.
